Honor officially launched the Play5 smartphone back in May this year with specs like OLED display, quad cameras, and Dimensity 800U SoC. Initially, at the launch, the Honor Play5 was available in three color variants – Black, Purple, and Gradient. Now, Honor has launched the smartphone in the new Blue colorway.

The Honor Play5 in the Blue shade is priced at CNY 2,099(~$324) for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and CNY 2299(~$354) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. Interestingly, Honor is currently offering the device at an introductory price of CNY 1999(~$309).

Honor Play5 Specifications 

The Honor Play5 comes with a 6.53-inch punch-hole OLED display with a Full-HD+(1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution. It has a 16MP front camera placed in the notch and boasts a quad-camera system at the rear.

The rear camera island holds a 64MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. It has an LED flash sandwiched between the four sensors. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner offering added security.

Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. It packs a 3,800mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging technology. Honor claims that it can go up to 60% with just 15 minutes of charge.

The dual-SIM phone comes with 5G support and has Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS, and Bluetooth v5.1. The device has a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio and a USB Type-C port for data transfer and charging. It also comes with NFC support. As far as software is concerned, it runs on MagicUI 4.0 based on Android 10 OS.
