Honor is reportedly working on a couple of new phones for the Chinese market. The brand is expected to unveil the Magic 9 series in October this year, followed by the Win 2 series of performance-focused phones by the end of the year. The company is also said to be developing the Honor Power 3 as the successor to the Honor Power 2, which debuted with a 10,080mAh battery earlier this year.

Considering the Power 2 was announced in January 2026, the Power 3 could likely debut at the beginning of next year. Well ahead of the expected launch, tipster Digital Chat Station has leaked what appears to be the Power 3’s key specifications.

Honor Power 3 key specifications tipped

According to the leak, the Honor Power 3 could feature a next-generation MediaTek Dimensity 8600 series chipset and may target the mid-range segment with a strong focus on battery life and performance.

The tipster claims that an early engineering prototype currently features a 6.8-inch 1.5K LTPS flat display with 2.5D glass. One of the biggest highlights is said to be the battery capacity, which could exceed 10,000mAh, with Honor reportedly aiming for a battery size between 11,000mAh and 12,000mAh.

A previous leak from the same source revealed that the Dimensity 8600 will also power phones from Vivo, Oppo, and their sub-brands. Apart from the Honor Power 3, the chipset is also expected to power devices such as the Redmi Turbo 6 and Poco X9 Pro.

AnTuTu has released its top 10 Android sub-flagship smartphone performance rankings for February 2026, based on benchmark data collected using AnTuTu Benchmark V11 between February 1 and February 28. The list shows the best-performing upper mid-range smartphones based on their average benchmark scores.

February did not see many major launches in this segment, but a few new devices still made their way into the ranking. The most notable additions are the Honor Power 2, Redmi Turbo 5, and the OPPO Reno 15 series.

The Honor Power 2 ranks first with an average AnTuTu score of 2,201,537. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite processor. This chipset continues the design used in its predecessor and uses an all Cortex-A725 core architecture. MediaTek has also increased the operating frequency compared to the previous generation, which helps improve overall performance. Another thing that makes this smartphone impressive is its massive 10,080mAh battery, which it manages to fit inside a body that’s just 7.98mm thick. With this configuration, the Honor Power 2 leads the February ranking and stands out as the fastest sub-flagship Android smartphone in the latest benchmark results.

Second place goes to the OPPO Reno 15 Pro, which recorded an average score of 2,113,019. The device is powered by the Dimensity 8400-Max processor. Close behind it is the OPPO Reno 15, which ranks third with an average score of 2,102,547 and uses the same Dimensity 8400-Max chipset.

Another new entry is the Redmi Turbo 5, which takes the fourth position. The phone runs on the Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor and achieved an average score of 2,087,575.

The rest of the ranking includes earlier releases that are still competitive in this segment. The OPPO Reno 14 Pro ranks fifth with a score of 2,080,957. The iQOO Z10 Turbo is sixth with 1,995,751, followed by the Redmi Turbo 4 in seventh with 1,964,441.

The OPPO Reno 14 takes eighth place with 1,614,550. The Redmi Note 12 Turbo ranks ninth with 1,304,873, while the OnePlus Turbo 6V, powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, completes the list in tenth place with a score of 1,089,387.

The February rankings show that MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 and 8400 series processors currently dominate the sub-flagship performance category, with several newly launched devices quickly reaching the top positions.

We’re going to see many exciting launches from major Chinese brands, including Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo, OnePlus, and Honor. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait until the launch for the details, as we already know most of them through brand teasers and leaks. So, let’s take a closer look at the upcoming phones, along with all the details we know so far.

1. Oppo Reno 15 series

Launch date: January 8, 2026

Oppo Reno 15 series will launch in India on January 8, featuring three models: Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and Reno 15 Pro Mini. All three models are confirmed to feature Aerospace-Grade Aluminium frames and Oppo’s HoloFusion technology. The latter offers a 3D layered visual effect to the glass back.

The 15 Pro model has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The 15 Pro Mini features a 6.32-inch AMOLED display, while the standard 15 sits in the middle with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display. Both have Gorilla Glass 7i coating. All three models have IP66 + IP68 + IP69 ratings in common.

The standard Reno 15 is reportedly priced under Rs. 50,000, while the Pro Mini model may be offered for under Rs. 40,000. The Reno 15 Pro could have a price tag above Rs. 50,000.

2. Poco M8 series

Launch date: January 8, 2026

On the same day, Poco will unveil its Poco M8 series in India, featuring two models: Poco M8 5G and Poco M8 Pro 5G. The phones will be sold via Flipkart.

The Poco M8 is confirmed to feature a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset paired with 8GB RAM, achieving over 825,000 points on the AnTuTu V11 benchmark. Sadly, it will come with Android 15-based HyperOS 2, not HyperOS 3, although the brand promises a quicker rollout. On the plus side, Poco guarantees 4 years of OS upgrades, along with 6 years of security updates for the standard M8.

The Poco M8 Pro will reportedly feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, a 50MP + 8MP dual rear camera, a 32MP selfie camera, and a 6,500mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging. It may also come with HyperOS 2 software, based on Android 15.

3. OnePlus Turbo 6 series

Launch date: January 8, 2026

OnePlus has also locked in the same date for the launch of its flagship-grade OnePlus Turbo 6 series. However, it will debut in China and will likely launch with a different name for the rest of the world.

The lineup comprises OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V. The former is confirmed to pack a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, a 1.5K resolution display with support for a 165Hz refresh rate.

The highlight of the Turbo 6 series is the battery capacity. The Turbo 6 packs a massive 9,000mAh battery, while the Turbo 6V will arrive with a smaller but still powerful 7,000mAh battery.

The OnePlus 6V is confirmed to feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

Rumors are that the OnePlus Turbo 6 could launch outside China as the Nord 6.

4. Honor Power 2

Launch date: January 5, 2026

The Honor Power 2 debuted earlier this week as the first smartphone launch of 2026. Like the OnePlus Turbo 6 series, it’s also in the news for bringing a massive 10,080mAh battery, with support for 80W fast wired charging and 27W reverse charging.

The smartphone features a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 8,000 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate. At its core is the Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The rear camera module features a 50MP primary camera and a 5MP ultrawide camera, along with a 16MP selfie shooter.

Honor Power 2 has been launched in China, where it sells for 2,699 CNY (around Rs. 34,900) for the 12GB + 512GB variant, and goes up to 2,999 CNY (around Rs. 38,700) for the 12GB + 512GB variant. The brand hasn’t confirmed its global availability yet.

5. Realme 16 Pro series

Launch date: January 6, 2026

The Realme 16 Pro series has been launched in India, increasing the brand’s mid-range portfolio with two more devices: Realme 16 Pro 5G and Realme 16 Pro+ 5G.

The 16 Pro has a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, 6500nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ support. The Pro+ model features a slightly larger 6.8-inch screen, while the rest of the display specifications remain largely unchanged. Both phones come with Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0 skin and promise up to three major Android upgrades.

There’s Dimensity 7300 Max powering the Realme 16 Pro, whereas the 16 Pro+ has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. The latter also gets an additional 50MP periscope telephoto camera, in addition to a 200MP primary shooter and an 8MP ultrawide unit. Both phones, however, have the same 50MP selfie camera.

Both smartphones carry the same 7,000mAh battery capacity with support for 80W wired charging and a bypass charging feature. As for the pricing, the Realme 16 Pro starts at Rs. 31,999 and the Realme 16 Pro+ starts at Rs. 39,999.

6. Redmi Note 15 5G

Launch date: January 6, 2026

Alongside the Realme 16 Pro series, Xiaomi also unveiled the more affordable Redmi Note 15 in India, with a starting price of Rs. 22,999. The smartphone features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3200nits of peak brightness.

The Redmi Note 15 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage, further expandable up to 1TB with a microSD card. Furthermore, it offers a 108MP primary camera on the back, paired with an 8MP ultrawide camera. On the other side, it has a 20MP selfie camera. Additionally, the Note 15 packs a 5,220mAh battery with support for 45W fast wired charging.

The company is taking a similar approach with its new mid-range phone called Power 2. And, somewhat unexpectedly, it comes with an even bigger battery.

The Power 2 houses a slightly larger 10,080mAh battery inside a body that’s just 7.98mm thick. For comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro, with not even a 5,000mAh cell, measures 8.8mm. And it’s not particularly heavy either, weighing just 216 grams.

The battery supports 80W wired charging and even offers 27W reverse charging. 

Honor Power 2 Specifications

Up front, the phone features a large 6.79-inch OLED LTPS flat display with a 1.5K resolution of 2600 x 1200 pixels. The screen is also advertised up to 8,000 nits of peak brightness along with 3,840Hz PWM dimming. 

Powering the device is MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The Dimensity 8500 is a new mobile processor that Honor claims scores over 2.4 million points on AnTuTu. 

The Power 2 also gets a decent pair of camera setups. The rear is home to a 50MP main sensor featuring OIS, a 5MP ultra-wide camera. Whereas you get a 16MP camera on the front. On the software side, the Power 2 runs Android 16 with MagicOS 10 layered on top.

Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, a metal frame, and an unusually comprehensive durability rating with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications. Connectivity options cover Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, IR blaster support, and advanced satellite positioning.

Pricing for the Honor Power 2 starts at 2,699 CNY (around $385) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, going up to 2,999 CNY (about $430) for the 512GB. The phone is available in Phantom Black, Snowfield White, and Rising Sun Orange.

Honor is set to launch the Power 2 smartphone with a mammoth 10,080mAh battery on January 5. Just days ahead of the launch, it has been listed on China Telecom’s page for certified devices, detailing its hardware specs. Let’s take a look at it. 

Honor Power 2 Specifications

The Honor Power 2 is built around a 6.79-inch display with a centered punch-hole cutout for a selfie camera. The phone’s bottom edge houses a speaker grille, a SIM card slot, and a USB Type-C port. 

Honor equips the Power 2 with a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. On the back, the phone carries a dual-camera setup that includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. 

Under the hood, the Honor Power 2 is powered by an MT6899 application processor. Honor has confirmed it is the all-new Dimensity 8500 Elite chip. A recent Geekbench listing revealed that it will offer better performance than the Dimensity 8400 chip from last year.

The device ships with Android 16-based MagicOS 10 and delivers a screen resolution of 2640 × 1200 pixels. Despite packing a huge battery, the phone maintains a slim profile, measuring 162.1 × 76.3 × 7.98mm and weighing approximately 216 grams.

China Telecom’s database lists the device under the model number “HONOR SER-AN00.” Honor seems to be offering the Power 2 in two storage configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage. 

And there will be three color options to choose from—Phantom Black, Sunrise Orange, and Snow White. As is evident, the Power 2’s rear design is similar to the recent Apple iPhone 17 Pro series.

According to the leak, the Honor Power 2 features a 6.79-inch flat LTPS display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is said to reach up to 8,000 nits of peak HDR brightness, which is even higher than the more premium Honor Win that launched yesterday. 

Powering the device could be a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite processor. The camera hardware includes a 16MP front-facing camera and a dual rear setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.88 aperture and a 5MP secondary camera. The tipster shares no additional details about the sensor size or video capabilities. 

One of the more notable aspects of the Honor Power 2 is its battery. The device is tipped to pack a 10,080mAh battery that charges via an 80W adapter. The new Honor Win also packs a 10,000mAh cell, and it takes about an hour to go from 0 to 100%.

While 80W charging might seem a little slow on paper, it likely won’t take as long as expected to fully charge a 10,000mAh-class battery.

Even more impressive is the fact that the phone reportedly measures just 7.98mm in thickness despite the large battery capacity. It tips the scales at 216 grams and features metal frames contributing to the overall build. Digital Chat Station also shared a better image of the Power 2 in all three colors.

Honor is set to launch its first Honor Win series phones in China today. The Win and Win RT are performance-focused handhelds with Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a massive 10000mAh battery.

Next in January, the company is rumored to announce a mid-range performance phone called the Honor Power 2. It could be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8500 and again a 10,080mAh cell. 

Despite these beefy specs, the main talking point of Power 2 could be its design. A tipster who goes by the alias Panda is Bald shared an image showing the phone’s design, and yeah, it looks like iPhone 17 Pro. 

It’s not very inspiring 

The device has a panned camera module housing three lenses in Apple’s fashion. And in fact, the hero color of the Power 2 seems to be Orange, just like the new Pro iPhones. But if you don’t like a bright shade, there seems to be Black and White model as well.

Chinese manufacturers, big or small, have always tried to bring Apple’s flavor to their own devices. A recent example is the Xiaomi 17 Pro. So we shouldn’t be as surprised by Honor doing the same thing. But yeah, it’s not very inspiring. 

The Honor Power 2 is also expected to feature a 6.79-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 16MP front-facing camera. A 50MP lens will lead the rear setup. 

Pairing with Dimensity 8500 is 12GB of RAM and Android 16-based Magic OS 10. Rumors say the same chip will also power Redmi Turbo 5, Poco X8 Pro, and Realme Neo 8 SE. 

The Turbo 5 could be the first phone to feature the said chip, but it will remain exclusive to China. The Poco X8 Pro will arrive as a global version of the Turbo 5.

Tomorrow, Honor will unveil the Honor Win and Win RT, gaming-focused flagship phones in China. In January 2026, the brand is expected to announce the Honor Power 2, which is said to pack a huge battery along with upper mid-range specifications. Speculation is rife that the device will come equipped with a Dimensity 8-series chipset. Ahead of the expected launch, the phone has appeared on Geekbench benchmarking, revealing key details about its chipset.

Honor Power 2 Geekbench listing

Reports have revealed that the Honor Power 2 will feature the upcoming Dimensity 8500 chipset. This chip is also expected to power other phones, such as the Redmi Turbo 5 / Poco X8 Pro and Realme Neo 8 SE. The screenshot above seemingly reveals the Honor Power 2’s Geekbench listing, where it is reportedly labelled with the SER-AN00 model number.

The Geekbench listing reveals that it is powered by an upcoming MediaTek chip, which includes a prime CPU core clocked at 3.40GHz, three cores operating at 3.20GHz, and four cores running at 2.20GHz. For graphics, it is equipped with the Mali-G720 MC8 GPU.

Based on a previous leak, it can be said that this chip could be the upcoming Dimensity 8500. The handset has managed to score 1,532 points in the single-core test and 5,632 points in the multi-core test.

In comparison, the existing Dimensity 8400 chip has a 3.25GHz Cortex-A725 prime core, three Cortex-A725 cores clocked at 3.3GHz, four Cortex-A725 cores running at 2.1GHz, and a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU. This chip scores around 1,400 to 1,500 in the single-core test and around 5,600 in the multi-core test.

Coming back to the Honor Power 2 Geekbench listing, the device is equipped with 12GB of RAM and Android 16, with the MagicOS 10 layer on top.

Speaking of the phone, rumours suggest that the Honor Power 2 will arrive with a 6.79-inch OLED 1.5K display, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a 50-megapixel main camera on the back. It goes without saying that the major highlight of the phone will be its battery, which is said to be around 10,080mAh. The device will offer 80W charging and is expected to arrive in shades such as Midnight Black, Snow White, and Sunrise Orange.

Other Dimensity 8500 phones

The Dimensity 8500 is also expected to power the Redmi Turbo 5, Poco X8 Pro, and Realme Neo 8 SE. The Turbo 5 could be the first phone to feature the said chip, but it will remain exclusive to China. The Poco X8 Pro will arrive as a global version of the Turbo 5.

According to a new Weibo post by well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, a 10,000mAh battery from Honor has passed certification in China, indicating that the Power 2 featuring the new battery could be inching towards launch. Here’s a look at the details he shared.

Upcoming Honor phones with super-large batteries

According to the tipster, Honor’s new battery that has passed the 3C certification in China has a rated capacity of 9,886mAh, with a typical value of around 10,000mAh. If launched, this would set a new benchmark for battery capacity on a mainstream smartphone.

The tipster claims that he knows that there are upcoming mid-range phones from Honor that will pack such a huge battery for China. These three phones are said to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, and the Dimensity 8500.

There is no clarity about what the final marketing name of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 Honor phone could be. It is being said that the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 phone that the tipster could be talking about could be the Honor 500. As far as the Honor 500 Pro is concerned, reports have claimed that it could be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.

Coming to Honor’s upcoming Dimensity 8500 model, this appears to be the Honor Power 2, which is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2026 in China. The phone is expected to feature a 6.79-inch LTPS OLED screen that supports a 1.5K resolution.

Despite packing a massive battery, it is said to measure around an 8mm thin body. It is also said to feature an under-display optical fingerprint sensor and a drop-resistant body.

It’s been some time since we have been hearing rumors of Honor working on a smartphone with an unusually large battery. Now, new leaks from China have shed more light on what appears to be the Honor Power 2.

According to leaked details, the Honor Power 2 is expected to feature a 10,000mAh (±) battery. What’s impressive is that the phone reportedly measures around 8.0 mm thick, suggesting that Honor has done some serious work in optimizing its design.

The device is also expected to feature a 1.5K LTPS flat display, an optical fingerprint sensor, and a drop-resistant body. Powering the phone will be the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chip, which itself is yet to launch. 

The Honor Power 2 will succeed the first-generation Honor Power, which launched in April this year. This too comes with an impressively large battery—an 8,000mAh cell with 66W wired charging—while still maintaining an 8mm thickness.

It is decent in other areas as well. The Honor Power flaunts a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 4,000 nits of peak brightness, and HDR support. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and carries a 50MP + 5MP rear camera setup, while the front camera uses a 16MP lens.

Interestingly, the device even supports satellite connectivity on the 512GB model. It’s likely that some of these features will carry over to the Honor Power 2, with a few expected upgrades.

While Honor hasn’t confirmed anything officially yet, the release window is said to be Q1 2026, so we might not have to wait long to see how the company balances performance, design, and endurance in one device.

The GT 2 series is expected to launch after the Magic 8 series in China. Now, a new leak claims that the Honor 500 series has also been planned for this year.

Honor 500, 500 Pro key specs, launch timeline (rumored)

In June 2025, Honor unveiled the Honor 400 and 400 Pro in China. These devices are different from their global versions. The Chinese variants came with a 6.55-inch display and a 200-megapixel primary camera. According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, two devices under the Honor 500 series are tipped to debut by the end of 2025.

While the exact names were not mentioned, they are expected to launch as the Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro. The new models are said to carry forward the design approach of their predecessors with an iPhone-inspired appearance. The Honor 500 lineup will focus on being slim and lightweight while still being camera-centric, featuring a 6.5-inch display and a new 200-megapixel main sensor. As far as launch is concerned, it may debut in December this year.

Honor GT 2 series display size revealed (rumored)

DCS has mentioned in the same leak that the Honor GT 2 prototypes are equipped with a large 6.83-inch screen. He added that performance will be the main highlight, paired with a large-capacity battery.

Previous leaks suggest that the GT 2 could be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 or Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, while the GT 2 Pro may house the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. According to a recent report, the standard GT 2 may arrive with an 8,800mAh battery, up to 24GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.

Honor Power 2 launch timeframe (rumored)

DCS revealed in the comments section of the same post that the Honor Power 2 is tentatively scheduled to launch in Q1 2026, with an invincible battery. As per reports, the Honor Power 2 will arrive with a 6.79-inch display, Dimensity 8500 chipset, and an enormous 10,000mAh battery.

In the original leak, the tipster mentioned that the brand is also working on compact tablets, but he did not share more details about them.
