In the previous month, Honor unveiled the high-end Honor Tablet V6 in China. At that time, the company did not confirm the pricing and exact market release date for the tablet. Today, the Chinese manufacturer confirmed that it will be available for purchase in the home market from June 18 with a starting price of 2,199 Yuan (~$310).

Honor Tablet V6 pricing and availability

The Honor Tablet V6 comes in Wi-Fi and 5G editions. The Wi-Fi variant comes in two option such as 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. They are priced at 2,199 Yuan (~$310) and 2,499 Yuan (~$353). The company is pre-orders for the tablet through platforms like Vmall, Tmall, Suning, and others starting from today.

During the pre-sale period, buyers can get the tablet with a discount of 100 Yuan (~$14) to 200 Yuan (~$28). The first sale of the tablet will be carried out on June 18. Customers can avail it silver, green and black colors.

The Honor Tablet V6 5G will go on sale in the coming month. The exact release date will be confirmed at some point later this month. The 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage versions of the Tablet V6 comes in 3,199 Yuan (~$451) and 3,999 Yuan (~$564). It will be also available in the same three color options.

Honor is also selling some accessories for the Honor Tablet V6 such as Magic Pencil priced at 599 Yuan (~$86), Bluetooth keyboard worth 399 Yuan (~$56) 1and smart leather case worth 199 Yuan (~$28). The stylus and case will go on sale from June 18 and the Bluetooth keyboard will be available from next month.  Honor is yet to confirm whether the tablet will be launching in markets outside of China.

Honor Tablet V6 specifications

The Tablet V6 has a 10.4-inch IPS LCD display that offers 1200 x 2000 pixels. The slim bezels surrounding its display allows it to deliver a screen-to-body ratio of 84 percent. It is fueled by Kirin 985 chipset. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. At the front, it features an 8-megapixel camera. The device houses a 7,250mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging through USB-C. The Android 10 OS along with Magic UI 3.1 runs on the device. The device comes with support for Wi-Fi 6 and 5G connectivity.

Honor is expected to announce a new tablet named Honor Tablet V6 on May 18. Rumors have it that the device is fueled by Kirin 985 chipset. The presence of the new chipset that suggests that the device will be good enough for gaming and enjoying movies. A fresh video released by the company shows that the Honor Tablet V6 can be used for drawing and painting purposes.

The above video shows an art student who graduated from the China Academy of Art using the upcoming Honor Tablet V6 for drawing and painting. Shown below is the snapshot that gives the final look of the artwork. The tablet seems to feature a large-sized screen. The detailed specs of the device have not surfaced yet.

There is no word on the pricing of the Tablet V6.

On May 18, Huawei’s sub-brand is rumored to announce multiple products. Past reports have revealed that it could be announcing devices like Wi-Fi 6 Plus ready Honor Router 3, Honor Smart Screen, and 10^th generation Intel processor versions of the MagicBook 14 and 15.

Earlier this week, Honor had announced that it will be launching its first tablet that supports both 5G networking and the new Wi-Fi 6 standards. The product will be unveiled by the company in its product launch conference on 18th May 2020. But prior to its launch, the tablet has been leaked online, with support for a stylus.

According to a Weibo post by @长安数码君, the Chinese tech giant’s tablet will feature HiSilicon’s Kirin 985 SoC. The processor is the latest 5G chip from Huawei and is placed directly below the flagship Kirin 990 5G and above the mid range Kirin 820 SoC. In the post on the Chinese microblogging website, an image was also shared which depicted a person using the tablet with a stylus, meaning we can expect to see official support from Honor.

The image shared also revealed certain details regarding the Honor Tablet V6. This includes its body that is colored silver with the company’s logo on the rear. The display on the front is large and is surrounded by a relatively thin bezel on all four corners. However, apart from the stylus and chipset model, no further details were available.

Unfortunately, this image is just a leak and we cannot provide any concrete statements yet. Honor has yet to officially reveal the Tablet V6, so we have to wait until 18th May for the launch conference. Earlier today (13th May 2020), Honor revealed a countdown for its upcoming product launch conference and also unveiled its upcoming new tablet, the Honor Tablet V6. It is the world’s first tablet to feature 5G networking and the latest Wi-Fi 6 standards.

The new tablet is said to be the flagship entry in the Chinese company’s tablet series and will feature some notable specs. The Honor Tabet V6 will be 5G enabled, and will run dual band 5G alongside the latest Wi-Fi 6 standards. This will enable better downloading and overall networking speeds in both cellular or WiFi connections.

Interestingly, a few rumors have suggested that the Honor V6 tablet will also feature a “Shadow Follow” function. This basically means that the device can track movement and gestures commands or in other words, air gestures. Although, this is still unconfirmed so take it with a grain of salt.

Unfortunately, finer details regarding the tablet is currently unknown, but many Weibo users (a Chinese microblogging website) believe that the processor will likely be the company’s recently launched HiSilicon Kirin 820 processor. It is a 5G enabled chip from Huawei and succeeds the previous generations Kirin 810 processor. Thus, we will have to wait till 18th May 2020, where the tablet will officially be announced alongside other products. So stay tuned, as we will be covering the launch event.
