Recently, the newly independent smartphone maker Honor officially confirmed that the Honor V40 Lite Luxury Edition will be launched on 23rd March. The company has also started taking reservations for the same.

Ahead of the launch, the company has started revealing some features of the device through teasers. Today, it has been confirmed that the Honor V40 Lite Luxury Edition will come with support for 66W Super Fast Charging technology.

For those who are unaware, the charging parameters of the upcoming smartphone are the same as the Huawei Mate40. Also, in terms of design, the Honor V40 Lite Luxury Edition will be adopting a different design compared to V40.

The smartphone will come with a 6.57-inch Full HD+ display with 2340 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and a single punch-hole cutout for housing the front-facing camera. It offers a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate with a 10-bit color depth.

In the camera department, the device will come with a 64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP quad-camera setup and on the front side, there will be a 32 MP snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

A few more Honor smartphones are in the works and are expected to go official soon, which include Honor 40S, Honor 10C, Honor X20, and Honor 40. It remains to be seen which of them makes it to the global markets.

Along with the Honor V40 Lite Luxury Edition launch in China on 23rd March, the company is also gearing up to launch Honor Tablet 7 powered by the MediaTek G80 processor and later this year, the company plans to launch another tablet powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC in June this year.

Back in November 2020, HUAWEI sold its sub-brand HONOR to Zhixin New Information Technology Co. Ltd, a consortium of over 30 agents, dealers, and the Shenzhen Smart City Development Group Co. Ltd. Since then, HONOR has only released a single smartphone in the form of HONOR V40 5G in China. This handset along with four other phones may soon launch in global markets.

Last month, a tipster revealed that HONOR will be launching a number of mid-range and flagship smartphones in global markets. He even revealed that HONOR View40 (aka HONOR V40) will be debuting in spring, followed by HONOR 40 in summer. According to him, the brand will also release a new HONOR Magic device.

Now, weeks later, the following HONOR smartphones have cleared EEC certification.

Apart from HONOR V40, the other four devices are yet to go official. But we do know the specs and design of HONOR HJC and HONOR NZA, thanks to their TENAA certifications.

HONOR HJC Specifications

Talking about HONOR HJC, it will be a mid-range 5G smartphone powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage. It will flaunt a 6.53-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Unfortunately, there’s no info on whether the panel will support a high refresh rate.

As for optics, the handset will sport a 16MP selfie camera in the display notch and a quad-camera setup on the back consisting of a 64MP primary sensor coupled with an 8MP sensor and two 2MP sensors.

Other features of this phone include an in-screen fingerprint sensor, MicroSD card slot, Android 10, 3,800mAh battery, 66W fast charging, and four colors (Magic Night Black, Iceland Fantasy, Titanium Silver, Emerald Blue).

HONOR NZA Specifications

Unlike the above handset, the HONOR NZA is a budget 5G smartphone powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor paired with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. It will sport a 6.6-inch HD+ TFT LCD panel with a notch.

Other specs include a MicroSD card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, Android 10, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, 5,000mAh battery, and two colors (Black, Blue).

There’s no telling when and in which regions these phones will be launching in the coming days. Also, it is a mystery if they will come with GMS (Google Mobile Services) though the brand is in talks with the search giant.

Xiaomi Mi 11 vs Honor V40

Design

The Xiaomi Mi 11 has a very attractive and original design, and it is the reason why it is my favorite one in this comparison. It comes with a very high screen-to-body ratio and a compact camera module, as well as the Gorilla Glass Victus protection (the latest one by Corning) for the display. It even comes in a special color variant made with an eco leather back. With its pill-shaped front camera hole and its bigger camera module on the rear side, the Honor V40 still offers a very good design. Further, it is more compact and slightly thinner than the Xiaomi Mi 11.

Display

Besides having a more original design, the Xiaomi Mi 11 has a more advanced display than the Honor V40. It offers a higher resolution: Quad HD+, with 1440 x 3200 pixels. The display shows up to one billion colors, it has a 120 Hz refresh rate and a way higher 1500 nit peak brightness, as well as the HDR10+ certification. But the Honor V40 is all but disappointing: it has a display with one billion colors as well (and it supports the HDR10 certification), but the brightness and the resolution are lower.

Specs & Software

With the Xiaomi Mi 11, you even get better hardware. The flagship is powered by the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage up to 256 GB. The Honor V40 has a Dimensity 1000+ chipset which can be located between Snapdragon 855+ and Snapdragon 865, paired with slower UFS 2.1 internal storage and 8 GB of RAM. Another disadvantage is the fact that Honor V40 is still based on Android 10 despite it was released in 2021, and it does not come with Google Mobile Services in the global market.

Camera

Xiaomi Mi 11 is the winner even when it comes to the camera department thanks to its better 108 MP main camera including OIS and supporting 8K video recording. The Honor V40 is still a good camera phone with its 50 MP triple camera, but inferior to the Mi 11. Both are pretty good camera phones, but they are distant from the top camera phones in the market. None of them comes with a telephoto sensor, so they both lack an optical zoom. Their camera setups are composed of the main camera, an ultrawide sensor, and a macro camera.

Battery

Xiaomi Mi 11 has a bigger 4600 mAh battery which can actually last more than the 4000 mAh battery found on the Honor V40, no matter if the display is less efficient. The Snapdragon 888 chipset found on the Xiaomi Mi 11 has a better production process (5 nm) which means lower energy consumption. Honor V40 charges faster thanks to its 66W fast charging technology. Both the phones support fast wireless charging with a 50W power and reverse wireless charging.

Price

The starting price of the Xiaomi Mi 11 in China is $730/€603, while the Honor V40 is priced at $555/€460 in the Chinese market. The Honor V40 is way more affordable, but the Xiaomi Mi 11 is actually a better handset from every point of view. That is the reason why I would actually spend more to get a unit of the Xiaomi Mi 11 in order to get a better display, a better hardware department, and a superior camera sensor.

Honor recently launched its first major smartphone after splitting from Huawei — Honor V40 5G. The device went on sale in China a couple of weeks ago and in the first sale, all the units were sold out in about three minutes.

Now, the Honor V40 will again be on sale today in China. As for the phone’s pricing, the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at 3,599 yuan (approximately $557) while 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs 3,999 yuan, which is approximately $619. It comes in three color options — Black, Silver, and Rose Gold.

The smartphone features a 6.72-inch screen with a dual punch-hole design and is the first V-series phone from Honor to feature an OLED panel. The screen offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1236 x 2676 pixels resolution, a 120HZ refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and a DCI-P3 color gamut. The display is also integrated with a fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ 5G chipset along with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage. In the camera department, the phone has a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, a laser autofocus unit, and an LED flash.

On the front side, it features a 16-megapixel sensor and a ToF (Time-of-Flight) lens for depth estimation. As for software, the phone runs Magic UI 4.0 based on the Android 11 operating system with GPU Turbo X for graphic acceleration. It has a 4,200mAh battery that carries support for 66W superfast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging.

The Honor V40 5G carries support for 5G connectivity as it features a powerful Dimensity chip. It featured a large-sized OLED display with 80-degree curvature at its left and right edges. The phone is flanked by a 50-megapixel triple camera system and a 16-megapixel dual selfie camera setup. It also comes with support for fast wireless charging technology.

Fresh information shared by a Russian publication reveals that the Honor V40 could be the company’s first phone after the US ban to arrive with GMS support.

Honor was previously rumored to launch the Honor V40 smartphone in December. However, the launch date was pushed to January. It is speculated that the launch was delayed mainly because Honor wanted to add support for GMS on the V40.

Now, days ahead of the official launch, the company has shared a new teaser of the upcoming Honor V40 on social media. The teaser shows that the smartphone is equipped with a billion color retina-level super-sensing screen and a 50MP super-sensing lens matrix for the camera configuration.

The smartphone features a screen with curved edges and has a punch-hole cutout in the top-left corner for housing two camera sensors. It is expected to have a 6.72-inch OLED panel and may support a 120Hz refresh rate along with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Weibo users have managed to spot a poster of the V40 at an offline store in China. The poster has revealed the front and rear design of the smartphone.

As can be seen in the poster, the Honor V40 can be seen in three colors in the poster such as black, blue, and peach/orange. The blurry images show that there is a rectangle-shaped camera housing at the upper-left corner of the rear shell. Sitting at the top is the main sensor, followed by three other sensors and an LED flash.

A new leak now reveals codenames of supposed other products that could launch on the occasion of HONOR MALL’s unveiling.

The latest leak was first spotted by a Weibo user @长安数码君 (via). Accordingly, a Home Page of the upcoming HONOR MALL reportedly reveals the following codenames of products:

Digital Chat Station, a well-known Chinese tipster, shared the GameBench test result for the gameplay of the popular mobile game ‘Game for Peace’ on HONOR V40. For those unaware, GameBench is a benchmarking platform for games, whereas ‘Game for Peace’ is nothing but a modified PUBG Mobile for the Chinese market.

According to the test result, the device can run the game at an average of 90fps with 95% stability. Further, the test also reveals the GPU present in it to be ARM Mali-G77 MC9. Both of these indirectly suggest the upcoming HONOR V40 to feature at least 90Hz display and MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset.

Last month, a consortium of 30 agents in a joint statement said that it acquired Honor from Huawei. Accordingly, the new owner of the Honor brand is Zhixin New Information Technology Co. Ltd. After this, the revamped company has been setting new targets, strengthening the supply chain etc. Now, it has officially said that a new HONOR Mall will go live early next year.

Despite being a separate brand, Honor‘s products were sold through Huawei’s channels. In fact, its official accounts previously redirected to Huawei’s Vmall which is the latter’s official store. However, that’s about to change now as the new HONOR Mall will launch on January 2021.

A poster depicting the same shows a range of products including smartphones, tablets, laptops, suggesting that the store will be a wholesome replacement of Vmall. In fact, it is sending signals that future products of HONOR Mall will be exclusive(via) and independent of its ex-sister.

To assert this, the poster says that the new Mall will provide shopping and services related to the HONOR brand. It says that users can do this via a new HONOR Mall App. Reports say that the company will launch this App prior to the availability of the service. And then, migrate the user contents(data) from the Huawei Club.

Recently, Zhao Ming, CEO of new Honor, in a meeting with fans said that the company will soon launch a flagship smartphone. On the occasion of the 7th anniversary, Zhao also said that HONOR-branded Mate and P series devices will join the portfolio. Also, it’s new Honor V40, which is mostly the first smartphone after the structural revamp, is poised to launch in mid-January of 2021.

After becoming independent from Huawei, Honor is planning to make 100 million smartphones next year. It has already started negotiations with Qualcomm, MediaTek to procure their chips. As a head start, the company is likely to unveil a product very soon and it could be Honor V40. Amidst a lot of leaks about the device, a leak now says it will support 45W wireless charging.

A user on Weibo(@鹏鹏君驾到) has leaked an alleged rear design of Honor’s wireless charger that could launch alongside Honor V40. The design shows a hemisphere design with an ‘Honor’ Logo at the bottom. There are a vertical array of slots and two arched cutouts possibly for the heat dissipation grille and rubber bush respectively.

There is a dot above the design and it could be an LED indicator. The rear of the design also has specifications. Accordingly, it is registered under Honor Terminal Co Ltd.,(English Translated). Interestingly, the specs have the name ‘Vertical Wireless Charger’ with a max output of 45W. The charger supports a USB-C port and draws input in the range of 5V-20V at 6A(max).

Further, the user says(via ITHome) that this charger will support the 45W which should also be the designation of the upcoming Honor V40. The rated speed configs are 5V at 2A, 10V at 4A, and 11V at 6A out of which the 10V at 4A(40W) could be the wireless charging designation.

In any case, if this is true, Honor should launch a new Wireless charger alongside the Honor V40 in mid-January of 2021. On Saturday, the device received 3C certification through which it was revealed that it may ship with a 66W fast charger. The handset was previously speculated to launch in December. However, a recent leak claimed that its arrival has been postponed to January 2021. A render and a schematic of the Honor V40 are now being circulated on social platforms. The images (via) show that the Honor V40’s rear camera setup could be inspired by a watch that has four sub-dials.

As it can be seen, the Honor 40 diagram shows that it has a dual punch-hole display. It seems that the size of the punch-hole has decreased by 20 percent as compared to the previous generation Honor V30 smartphone. The diagram states that the Honor V40’s display has 80-degree curved edges.

The back panel of the phone has a round-shaped camera module. The four cameras arranged like the four sub-dials of a watch. The new leaks contradict previous claims that it could be housing a rectangle-shaped camera module.

Last month, HUAWEI sold its HONOR sub-brand to a consortium of over 30 agents and dealers. The brand’s first flagship smartphones after the sale are expected to be the HONOR V40 series. Not much information is available about these handsets. But since one of the models has now received 3C certification, we expect them to get listed on TENAA soon.

According to the 3C certification, the upcoming HONOR V40 device with model number YOK-AN10 will support 66W fast charging. Going by the charger’s model number (HW-110600C00) and output rates, the charging protocol should be HUAWEI 66W SuperCharge, which debuted on the HUAWEI Mate40 series.

But since HUAWEI no longer owns HONOR, the latter company may use a different branding for this charging tech just like OPPO (SuperVOOC), OnePlus (Warp), and realme (SuperDart).

That’s not all, we also expect the HONOR V40 series to run Magic UI 4, which is a fork of EMUI 11 based on Android 10. In other words, despite parting ways with HUAWEI, we expect HONOR to use its former parent company’s tech for the time being. That’s because these upcoming devices should have been in development for months.

That said, apart from 3C, this particular HONOR V40 model has also been certified by MIIT. Also, we know its codename  – YORK. We expect to learn more about this device along with other models in the series if any in the coming days.

As Digital Chat Station reports(via ITHome), a device with a model number YOK-AN10 appears on China’s MIIT certification website. The listing shows the applicant as Glory Terminal Co Ltd.,(Translated) which refers to Honor. Further, the listing also confirms that the device will be a 5G device.

Now, if we recall, the tipster revealed the codename of the upcoming Honor smartphone last week. According to him, Honor V40 will have the codename YORK and model number YOK-AN10. Hence, the above listing and tipster’s info suggests that the device is most likely the V40 from Honor. Further, he also says that the Honor V40 will support 66W fast charging.

Honor’s V-series is supposed to get new models this month but a new report says that will not be the case. The launch of the new phones, which should arrive as the Honor V40 and Honor V40 Pro, has now been postponed to January 2021.

The info comes from the leaker Teme (@RODENT950) who is known for his Huawei and Honor-related leaks. In a tweet posted earlier today, he says that the Honor V40 series has been postponed to next month. He also mentions that the upcoming V40 phones and even the Honor 40 series, which is expected to launch in the first half of next year, are developed by Huawei.

The Huawei subsidiary was sold to new owners a few weeks ago but development for phones such as the Honor V40 and the Honor 40 series would have been well underway before the change in ownership, so there is no surprise therein that they are developed by Huawei. However, now that they are no longer affiliated with Huawei, we may see some changes, most especially in the area of software, to show that the brand is no longer tied to its former owner.

The Honor V40 series should launch in countries outside China as the Honor View 40 series. If the launch had not been postponed, the View 40 series should launch in a few months in markets such as Europe but now that the launch has been delayed, the View 40 series should arrive a bit later.

Although we are officially into the last month of 2020, companies aren’t holding back or relaxing a bit. Thus, let’s look at the upcoming smartphones in December 2020. The list has names from biggies like Huawei, Lenovo, Samsung, OPPO, Vivo, and more. As always we have included few devices that are speculated to arrive this month at the end.

OPPO Reno5 series

Perhaps, the next big launch in China would be the Reno5 series of smartphones. It is rumored to launch on December 10 in China. Anyway, the lineup will likely have three devices- Reno5 5G, Reno5 Pro 5G, Reno5 Pro+ 5G. The entire specs of the device have been leaked ahead of launch.

Reno5 5G will probably have a 6.43-inch 90Hz AMOLED FHD+(1080p) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G SoC, 4,300mAh battery with 65W charging, ColorOS 11. As for the optics, it will likely feature a quad-camera setup with 64MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, two 2MP sensors, and a 32MP selfie shooter.

Reno5 Pro will have similar specs as the Reno5 but a bigger 6.55-inch display, Dimensity 1000+ SoC, and a slightly larger 4,350mAh battery. And as per leaks, the difference between Reno5 Pro and Reno5 Pro+ is a bigger 4,500mAh battery, Snapdragon 865 SoC, and rear cameras. Accordingly, it will most likely include a mysterious Sony IMX7xx 50MP lens, 16MP ultra-wide, 12MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, and a 2MP macro sensor.

Lenovo Lemon K12 Series 

After confirming the arrival of Lemon brand smartphones, Lenovo has confirmed that the Lemon K12 series of smartphones will launch on December 9 in China. The devices are likely rebranded Motorola phones from Global markets. Accordingly, the Lenovo K12 Pro will be a rebranded version of Moto G9, while the K12 will be a rebrand of Moto E7.

Thus, Lenovo K12 Pro will likely feature a 6.8-inch LCD HD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, triple-camera with 64MP main, two 2MP macro& depth sensors, 16MP selfie shooter, 6,000mAh battery with 20W fast charging. The Lenovo K12 will probably have a 6.5-inch LCD HD+ display, Snapdragon 460 SoC, triple camera with 48MP main, and two 2MP sensors, 8MP selfie camera, 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging.

Huawei Nova8, Honor V40 series

Huawei launched the Nova 8 SE back in November. The company is expected to expand the Nova8 lineup and if reports are true it will happen this month. Certifications received an earlier hint that the lineup will include two more devices- Nova8, and Nova8 Pro. The Pro model will likely feature a dual punch-hole display with curved edges. Sadly, not much is known about the series but the Nova 8 could sport Dimensity 820 SoC, rectangular layout with quad-cameras, while the Pro model will have Dimensity 1000+ SoC.

The Honor V40 series was expected to launch last month. However, a lot happened in December and now Honor is no longer a sub-brand of Huawei. Hence, the V40 series could be the first Honor Smartphones after the split. Although it is rumored to launch in December along with the Nova8 series, some reports say that it might get skipped to Jan 2021. The series will have V40 Pro, V40 Pro+. Vivo X60 series, V20 Pro

After a lot of delays, Vivo has finally confirmed that V20 Pro will launch in India on December 2. To recall, the device launched back in September in China. The Vivo V20 Pro features a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G SoC, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, triple-camera with 64MP, 8MP, 2MP lenses, and a dual-front camera with 44MP main, and 8MP ultra-wide lens, 4,100mAh with 33W fast charging.

Vivo recently launched the OriginOS in China. It is expected to power the new Vivo smartphones going forward. While the company has opened beta registrations for existing devices, its upcoming Vivo X60 series will likely get it out of the box. Reports say that the series will have Vivo X60, X60 Pro, likely feature Samsung Exynos 1080 SoC, and start around 3,500 yuan($532).

 realme RMX3063 device

realme’s mysterious RMX3063 device has been spotted on FCC, BIS, EEC certification websites suggesting an imminent launch. It will have a design similar to devices like realme C12, C15, and realme Q2i. It will likely feature a 5,000mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.2, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac support.

Moto G9 Plus(India)

Motorola announced the Moto G9 Plus in Brazil, UK back in September. And a recent BIS listing suggests the launch in India is imminent. It features a 6.8-inch FHD+ LCD display, Snapdragon 730G SoC, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, quad-camera with 64MP sensor, 16MP selfie camera, 5,000mAh battery with 30W TurboPower Charging, Android 10.

Nokia 7.3, 5.4

After a long delay, Nokia 7.3, and budget Nokia 5.4 are likely to debut before the year ends. Nokia 5.4 will likely be a successor to Nokia 7.2 with 5G support, 6.3-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 690 SoC, 48/64MP primary camera, 24MP selfie camera, 4,000mAh battery with 18W charging. Nokia 5.4 will probably boast a 6.39-inch HD+ display, SoC faster than Snapdragon 665, 4GB RAM, 64/128GB storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB-C port, and sport Blue, Purple colors.

Samsung M02, A52, A72

Samsung is gearing up to announce the next entry-level M02 very soon in India. And if reports are anything to go by, it might happen this month. The support page for SM-M025F/DS, likely the M02, has already gone live. Considering the early launches, it is speculated that the upcoming Galaxy A02 will land as M02 in India. So far, the Geekbench listing shows it will likely have Snapdragon 450 SoC, 3GB of RAM, Android 10.

Last year, Samsung announced the Galaxy A51, A71 in December. Similarly, the company could launch the next iteration this year as well. So far, the Galaxy A52 and A72 are likely succeeding those devices. Galaxy A52 is expected to feature Snapdragon 750G 5G, 64MP main camera, 8MP unknown sensor, and 3x Telephoto lens. The device will likely be the first in China to sport the next flagship SoC(likely: Snapdragon 888) of Qualcomm. The Pro device will mostly feature a curved display with QHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, main camera to take 50MP shots, 48MP ultra-wide, 100W fast charging, and more. Although it is tipped to launch in January, chances are it might get announced in December.

The Mi 10i and Redmi 9 Power are likely rebadged versions of Mi 10T Lite, and Redmi Note9 4G for the Indian markets. Anyway, the Mi 10i will feature a  6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz LCD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G SoC, circular rear camera layout, 16MP selfie shooter, 4,820mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The Redmi 9 Power will have a 6.53-inch display, Snapdragon 662 SoC, 6,000mAh battery with 18W charging.

The latest leak reveals that Mi 10i will come in Black, Blue, Orange-Green gradient colors with 6/8GB RAM, 128GB storage. The Redmi 9 Power will come in Black, Blue, Green colors and have 4GB RAM, 64/128GB storage.

After a busy Techtober, you might have thought it’s the end of new launches in 2020. But you are in for a bunch of new phones this month. Here we are with another edition of upcoming Smartphones for the month of November 2020. The list includes Huawei, Redmi, Vivo, Realme, Moto, and more. We are just 5 days into the month, and a bunch of devices have already been announced. So, stick around till the end to find out what phones are launching in the next few weeks.

Huawei Nova 8 SE

Huawei will launch the Nova 8 SE in China on November 5. As reported earlier, the device is likely to come in two variants. A recently leaked spec-sheet shows that the device will have two editions- One with Dimensity 720 SoC, and Dimensity 800U SoC. The former has 5G+4G SIM, while the latter has dual-5G support. Other expected features include a 6.5-inch OLED display, quad-camera with 64MP main lens, 16MP selfie shooter, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage,  3,800mAh battery with 66W fast charging. It will likely run EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10.

Redmi Note 9 series

Previously rumored to be the Redmi Note 10 series, three new Smartphones(M2007J17C, M2007J22C, M2007J19C) are expected to be added to the Redmi Note 9 lineup in China. Before you get confused, as of now, the new devices are likely headed to China. And doesn’t seem to resemble the already available ones. One of them likely has an LCD panel while the other has a high-refresh-rate screen. And likely have brightness up to 450 nits, NTSC 84%, 1500:1 contrast ratio. As of now, we don’t have an exact date but they are expected to go official later this month.

Honor V40 Series

Although rumors point to a December launch, Honor might jump the gun and bring it a month earlier as nothing is official yet. That said, the series will likely have two devices- V40 Pro, V40 Pro+. Expected features include a 6.72-inch FHD+ dual punch-hole curved display, 120Hz refresh rate, Dimensity 1000+SoC(V40 Pro), Kirin 9000 SoC(V40 Pro+), 50MP Sony IMX700 RYYB camera, 66W Wired SuperCharge, and 40W Wireless Charging.

Realme C17, X7 Pro

Realme has been mum for a while in India which is very unlike the company. However, it is likely coming back with new devices- Realme C17 for India, and Realme X7 Pro for India, and the Global market. The devices will likely launch this month(at least the C17). Realme C17 from Bangladesh features a 6.5-inch HD+ display, Snapdragon 460 SoC, quad-cameras, 6GB/128GB storage, and more. Realme X7 Pro is likely heading for a wider Global launch from China. It features a 6.55-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, Dimensity 1000+ SoC, 64MP rear and 32MP front cameras, 5G, 65W SuperDart charging, and more.

Vivo X60 Series, V20 Pro

Vivo recently announced a transition to Origin OS for its smartphones. This new UI is expected to debut with the Vivo X60 series in November/December. Apart from a leaked naming(X60) on the advertisement hoarding from an Official Store, we don’t have any other info just yet. Vivo V20 Pro, which launched in China back in September, will debut by November End as revealed by its CEO in India. The device features a 6.44-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 765G, 64MP camera, 33W fast charging, and more.

Moto E7, G10 Play

Motorola is expected to break covers of the budget E7, and G10 Play very soon. The entry-level Moto E7 has bagged several certifications(FCC, NBTC, TUV) with model number X2095-3. It is likely to feature a 6.2-inch LCD HD+ display, Snapdragon 632 SoC, 2GB RAM/32GB storage, 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras, 4G, 3,550mAh battery, and more. The G10 Play is supposed to come out in a few weeks. Boasting a model number of XT-2117, it likely has a 6.5-inch screen with a single punch-hole at top left, side-fingerprint, USB-C, 3.5mm jack, 4,850mAh battery, and more.

Other Expected Launches – LAVA BE U

LAVA, an Indian Smartphone brand is likely to launch a women-centric BE U Smartphone around the Diwali period in India. Expected to debut around ₹10,000($135), the device might have a glossy finish with Pink Accents at the back. Although the specifications are not known yet, we can expect it to be designed completely in India considering it is an Indian company.

Samsung Galaxy M02

Samsung is expected to launch another entry-level smartphone, the Galaxy M02. This will likely succeed in the Galaxy M01 from July. Recently, it has passed both India’s BIS, and Bluetooth SIG certifications reveal it will likely have a Snapdragon 450 SoC, 2GB RAM, Bluetooth 4.2, and run on Android 10 OS. That said, there isn’t a specific launch date but considering the recent certification, it might go live anytime soon.

In the previous week, Huawei held a global launch event to unleash the Huawei Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and Mate 40 RS Porsche Design flagship phones. There will be a dedicated launch event for the Mate 40 series in China on Oct. 30. There are speculations that the Nova 8 series will break cover at some point in November. Over the weekend, a tipster from China claimed that not only the Nova 8 lineup but also the Honor V40 flagship series will be announced in the coming month. Also, a reliable leakster from China shared the full specifications of the Nova 8 SE smartphone.

Previous leaks have revealed that the Nova 8 family includes three handsets such as the Nova 8 SE, Nova 8, and Nova 8 Pro. There is less information available about the Honor V40 series at present. Last year, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor had announced the Honor V30 and Honor V30 Pro smartphones in November. Hence, there is a possibility that the company may announce the Honor V40 and Honor V40 Pro as successor models next month.

Huawei Nova 8 SE specifications

The Huawei Nova 8 SE is speculated to feature a 6.53-inch LCD screen with a punch-hole cutout. It is unclear whether the device has an under-screen fingerprint reader. The device measures 7.46mm in thickness and it weighs 178 grams.

For selfies, the smartphone may possess a 16-megapixel selfie camera and its back panel is expected to house a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad-camera system. The Nova 8 SE could be housing a 3,800mAh battery and it is likely to come with 66W fast charging support.

The Nova 8 SE is likely to arrive in China in two CPU variants. The starting model may have the Dimensity 720 SoC, whereas the higher edition could be fueled by the Dimensity 800U chipset. The leak has no details on the RAM and storage capacities of the Nova 8 SE.

In Juloy this year, it was reevealed that the Mate 40 series may feature a different chipset, likely one of MediaTek’s processors, in markets outside China. Later on, the specs sheet of the Honor V40 series was leaked showing that all models will be powered by the Dimensity 1000+ processor.

Right now, an official-looking teaser for the V40 series has appeared online suggesting that the model is in the works and that a launch may not be far off. The teaser poster was shared by Indian tipster Mukul Sharmal (@stufflistings) who posited that a launch may not be far off.

At this moment, absolutely nothing has been officially revealed about the Honor flagship but considering the shortage of the Kirin 9000 chipset, it is most likely that if Huawei’s Honor brand was to release the flagship series right after the Mate 40 series, the device will likely not use a Kirin chipset. This is as a result of shortages of the 5nm chip occasioned by the US ban placed on Huawei.

The Honor V series is expected to include the Honor V40, V40 Pro, and V40 Pro+. The series traditionally packs the latest version of the Kirin chipset and other top notch specs. The series also usually feature impressive cameras.

We await for official words on the launch by Honor.

Yesterday, we reported that the Huawei Mate 40 series may feature a different chipset, most probably one of MediaTek’s processors, in markets outside China. Today, a leaker has revealed what may be the spec sheet of the Honor V40 series and it shows the lineup will be powered by the Dimensity 1000+ processor.

Shared on Weibo by @Really Assen, the Honor V40 series will not feature Kirin chipsets but MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000+ processor. He also states that the Honor V40 Pro+ may be the first of the series that will be announced. Below are the alleged specifications and prices of the series:

As you can see, while all three phones have the same processor and should offer the same performance, there are still some significant differences. The Pro versions will have curved AMOLED displays with two holes for their dual selfie cameras.

All three phones will also have a high refresh rate but that of the Honor V40 Pro+ will be higher. The spec sheet also shows that all three phones will support wireless charging which is pretty nice.

As a reminder, these specifications are speculations, so we advise you to take them with a grain of salt.
