Huawei is expected to hold an online event on February 24 where the company is tipped to officially unveil the Huawei Mobile Service. The company is also expected to launch the Honor V30 for the European market. When this happens, the Honor V30 will become the first Huawei model that would be sold in Europe equipped with HMS services.

Huawei launched the HMS in China to take on the GMS ( Google Mobile Services) which a recent US trade ban prevents it from using. As a result of the fact that apps released on Android phones outside China rely heavily on GMS, and even many mobile phones that do not support GMS cannot be used normally. Therefore, it is necessary for Huawei to quickly build its own HMS and form its own ecosystem. Huawei Mobile Service offers a bunch of basic applications for a smartphone which includes the likes of phone, SMS, email, among others.

Huawei is hoping to leverage the outstanding features of the V30 to push its sales in Europe. The phone is the first 5G mobile phone under the Honor brand. Since its release, it has been highly sought after by consumers. The V30 is equipped with Kirin 990 series processors, and the entire series supports 5G. Not only does it support NSA / SA dual-mode network, but it also supports the six 5G bands n1 / n3 / n41 / n77 / n78 / n79.

The high-end Honor V30 Pro uses a breakthrough matrix camera design and a rear 40-megapixel main camera in a triple cam arrangement. In addition to the main camera, it also includes a 12-megapixel ultrawide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. This independent film lens uses a four-in-one equivalent of 2.8 μm and a large photosensitive pixel that supports 109 ° ultra-wide-angle photography. It can bring a wider field of view when shooting and can enhance the sense of depth and space in the picture.

It remains to be seen if the amazing features and price can sway buyers in Europe to go for a phone without Google services.
