Honor just brought out the Honor 100 series phones in China. They run on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. These phones come in a pretty Monet Purple color. Plus, Honor also released a Monet Purple strap for the Honor Watch 4. Now you can match your phone with your smartwatch.

The Monet Purple strap is offered both as a standalone purchase and as part of a bundle. Opting for the bundle provides the option to acquire a purple strap package for an extra 50 yuan, resulting in a total cost of 999 yuan (949 yuan + 50 yuan). Additionally, users have the option to purchase the purple strap separately on the Tmall platform, where it is priced at 199 yuan.

Honor Watch 4 specs:

Encased in a 6 series aluminum frame, the Honor Watch 4 features a square dial with a right-side button, complemented by a sleek, frosted frame. The display is a 1.75-inch AMOLED with a 450×390-pixel resolution and a smooth 60Hz refresh rate.

Charging convenience is provided through POGO PIN charging and a dedicated charging base is included. In terms of battery life, when connected to an Honor phone, the smartwatch can last up to 10 days. In a standalone, all-weather 24-hour eSIM scenario, it impressively endures for 3 days or more.

Beyond its timekeeping function, the Honor Watch 4 is a robust fitness tracker. It supports 85 sports modes, including 12 professional workouts, and it excels in health monitoring by screening for atrial fibrillation and sleep apnea. Comprehensive sleep tracking is also part of its capabilities.

Last month, the Honor Watch 4 made its debut in China with a whole host of impressive features like a large AMOLED display and an aluminum body. The smartwatch has now arrived in Europe, however, it is missing a key feature that makes it special.

Honor Watch 4 specs

The Honor Watch 4 features an aluminum frame and a large 1.75-inch AMOLED display with a 450x390px resolution. It also has a 340 PPI pixel density and a 60 Hz refresh rate.

The Chinese version of the smartwatch offers eSIM support, providing independent cellular connectivity without needing to pair with a smartphone. This means users can make calls, send messages, and receive app notifications directly on the smartwatch. However, the European variant lacks eSIM support, resulting in the absence of these features for users in that region.

Additionally, the smartwatch lacks WiFi connectivity, requiring users in the EU to rely on Bluetooth 5.2 to connect their watches to smartphones for features like calling, messaging, and receiving notifications.

The smartwatch also has 5ATM waterproofing, meaning that you can wear the smartwatch while swimming. It comes with the usual health monitoring features like heart rate monitoring, blood-oxygen monitoring, sleep monitoring etc.

The Watch 4 comes with GPS support and a sizeable 451 mAh battery, capable of lasting up to 14 days with typical usage. Honor defines typical usage as continuous heart rate monitoring (smart mode) and sleep tracking, 30 minutes of Bluetooth calls weekly, 30 minutes of music playback weekly, 90 minutes of training with GPS activated per week, receiving 50 messages, 6 incoming calls, and 3 alarm clock alerts daily, and turning on the screen 200 times a day.

Pricing & availability

The Honor Watch 4 is available on the French website for €149.90, including taxes. In Europe, it is only offered in the black color option.

Honor has been actively launching laptops and tablets in India. The brand recently announced the Pad X9 tablet in the country. Multiple reports in recent times have hinted at Honor’s comeback in the Indian market with the first smartphone expected to launch this month or the next. While we wait for the official development, a new Honor wearable has been listed on the brand’s India website.

Honor has a big event scheduled on July 12, where it will unveil its latest Magic V2 foldable. Alongside what is claimed to be the thinnest foldable yet, the company will also launch its latest smartwatch— the Honor Watch 4. The wearable will be the first in Honor’s portfolio to bring eSim capabilities. While we wait for its launch, a tipster has shared its official-looking images on Weibo. Let’s have a look.

Honor Watch 4 brings eSim support

Honor Watch 4 is going to bring a good-looking design, featuring a square dial. The frame is curved and looks like it has a frosted texture. The watch has a single button on the right side. It has been leaked in three straps: black, off-white, and light blue. The latter two styles are printed with the “glory white” logo.

Previously, Jiang Hairong, the CMO of Honor Terminal China, officially confirmed that the new Honor Watch 4 can achieve a long battery life of up to 10 days. Honor has also revealed that the new smartwatch will support eSIM. Currently available eSim smartwatches only have a battery life of 5-7 days in full smart mode.

Other details of the smartwatch are yet to be known. Considering it will bring eSim support, we can expect the watch to offer cellular connectivity similar to a smartphone. You should be able to make calls and send text messages from the watch itself, without having to connect it to your phone’s Bluetooth.

Honor is ready to launch the Magic V2, its latest book-style foldable, in China on July 12. Today, the company has confirmed that a new tablet— the MagicPad 13— will also share the stage with the folding phone, along with an eSIM-supported Honor 4 smartwatch. Furthermore, Honor revealed that it will also launch the new Smart TV 5, featuring a sleek design. Here’s what we know so far.

Honor Smart TV 5 will be launched on the same day

According to teasers on Weibo, the Magic V2 will be accompanied by at least three more devices. The major one will be the Honor MagicPad 13 tablet, which features a 13 inches display with thin bezels. It will also come with niceties like a cover keyboard and a stylus. Other details of the slate are yet to be known.

The Honor Watch 4 has also been teased. The wearable is pictured with a squircle dial that resembles the Apple Watch series. What’s interesting about this watch is that it comes with eSIM support, which is a first for an Honor smartwatch.
