Honor discounted the HONOR Watch ES back in India back in January. It was a limited period offer. Now, the company has once again announced discounts for the Watch ES and HONOR Pad 5 tablet in the country.

For the unware, HONOR Watch ES debuted in India back in October 2020 whereas the HONOR Pad 5(8-inch) launched in July 2019. Honor launched both of these products at ₹7,499 and ₹15,499 respectively.

If you compare it with the launch price, the new price is about ₹2,500 less for the Watch ES and ₹3,500 less for the Pad5. The discount for the Tablet is available on Amazon while the discount for the HONOR Watch ES is on both Flipkart and Amazon.

After the launch, the company had reduced the prices of both the HONOR Watch ES and HONOR Pad 5 down the line. That said, the 8-inch Tablet gets a discount of ₹1,000 from the old price which was ₹12,999.

The HONOR Watch ES, on the other hand, was selling at ₹6,499 previously. Hence, it gets a ₹1,500 discount again. Do note that, Honor clearly specifies it as ‘Limited period offer‘ meaning it will last only till the stocks exist.

The Honor Band 6 launched yesterday, and we bet we are not the only ones who can see the similarity in design between the new fitness tracker and the Honor Watch ES which was announced in September. The Honor Watch ES, itself, shares most of its features with the Huawei Watch Fit. If you want to know how those two differ, you should read this.

Display and Battery Life
As you can see, the Honor Watch ES packs a larger display and has a higher resolution. The spec sheet also says it has Always-on Display but Honor doesn’t mention if the feature is available for the Band 6 even though it also has an AMOLED screen.

The Watch ES also has an ambient light sensor which means that the brightness can be adjusted automatically. For the Band 6, you will have to adjust the brightness when you are indoor or outside.

Both fitness trackers have the same battery capacity but the larger display of the Watch ES means that its battery life is lesser.

Built-in Storage

Another major difference is built-in storage which is not available on the Honor Band 6. If you don’t like taking your phone along when going on a run but don’t want to miss out on your exercise playlist, then the Honor Watch ES is the one for you.

Workout modes

The important part of a fitness tracker is how is its activity tracking. Clearly, the Honor Watch ES has the upper hand as it features more workout modes than the Honor Band 6. It also has animated workouts. However, the Honor Band 6’s 10 sports modes include the most popular ones such as indoor (treadmill) running, outdoor running, swimming, elliptical, indoor and outdoor cycling, indoor and outdoor walking, rowing, and free training. If your favorite exercise(s) isn’t mentioned above, then the Band 6 isn’t for you.

Price and Conclusion

The Honor Band 6 is only available in China for now and its price tag is less than half of that of the Honor Watch ES. Also, the tradeoffs aren’t ones you can’t live without, however, we wish it had more workout modes.

So if you like the design of the Honor Watch ES but aren’t willing to shell out that much for a fitness tracker, then go ahead and grab the Honor Band 6. You will be saving more than half of the price but you won’t be missing out on much.

As expected, these two wearables have been now unveiled in the country for a cheaper price tag than in Europe. Surprisingly, the brand did not announce HONOR CHOICE True Wireless Earbuds, which was tipped to launch alongside these two smartwatches.

The HONOR Watch GS Pro is the brand’s first rugged smartwatch. It was initially unveiled at IFA 2020 for European markets. Some of its notable features include 1.39-inch circular AMOLED display, MIL-STD-810G certification for durability, 25-day battery life, over 100 workout modes, built-in GPS, Bluetooth calling, Kirin A1, and LiteOS.

This wearable is priced at ₹17,999 in India and will be sold exclusively on Flipkart. It will be available for purchase starting October 16 during Flipkart Big Billion Days sale.

HONOR Watch ES India Price & Availability

The HONOR Watch ES, on the hand, is the company’s first smartwatch with a 1.64-inch rectangular AMOLED display. Unlike the above wearable, this one is targeted at fashionable customers. Further, to make it stand out amongst competitors, apart from the design, this watch also comes with 12 animated workout courses.

That said, this smartwatch will be exclusive to Amazon India for a price tag of ₹7,499. It will go on sale starting Amazon Great India Festival sale, which is scheduled to begin from October 17.

Honor has officially revealed the HONOR Watch ES launch date for India. The smartwatch will be unveiled in the country on October 8.

At IFA 2020, HONOR launched Watch ES for Europe as its version of HUAWEI Watch Fit.  A few days later, this wearable debuted in the brand’s home country China. Now, the company has begun to tease it for India. As per the press release, this smartwatch will be exclusive to Amazon India, however, the company is yet to announce its launch date.

On the other hand, the HONOR Watch GS Pro (Flipkart exclusive) will be launching in the country alongside HONOR CHOICE True Wireless Earbuds on October 8.

HONOR Watch ES is a uniquely designed smartwatch targeted at the fashionable audience. Unlike most wearables, which are either circular or square in shape, this one is rectangular.

Above all, as we mentioned in the beginning, it is similar to the HUAWEI Watch Fit. The only key differences are that the Honor version lacks GPS but features an accented button, however, it comes with 95 workout modes as opposed to 86 on the Huawei model.

Other than the above-mentioned dissimilarities, both of them sport a similar set of features. That means it comes equipped with a 1.64-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 456 x 280 pixels 326ppi, and 70% screen-to-body ratio.

As for the build, the casing is made of stainless steel and reinforced polycarbonate. It comes in three colors — Polar White, Tidal Blue, and Desert Grey. The Honor Watch GS Pro is priced at 1,599 yuan (~$237) and will go on sale in China from 23rd September.

Just like the GS Pro, this one too is powered by HiSilicon Kirin A1 and runs the company’s own LiteOS. There’s support for 95 workout modes and 12 animated workout courses. The device also packs an optical heart-rate sensor, SpO2 sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and ambient light sensor.

It is water-resistant up to 5ATM pressures and offers basic smartwatch features such as app notifications, alerts for calls & messages, sleep tracking, stress-level tracking, menstrual cycle tracking, and more.

The Honor Watch ES was announced at IFA 2020 yesterday. A lot of you already know that this is Honor’s version of the Huawei Watch Fit which launched about a week earlier. However, while both watches are near identical and also share several features, there is a key difference between them that you should know in case you plan to purchase any of the two.

While one of the visual differences between the Huawei Watch Fit and the Honor Watch ES includes a red accent on the home button of the latter, a more important difference is under the hood.

This key difference is GPS. The Huawei Watch Fit has built-in GPS which is important for outdoor runs. However, the cheaper Honor Watch ES has connected GPS. What this means is that Honor’s own watch needs to connect to your phone to get location data.

The lack of GPS on the Honor Watch ES should explain why it costs less at €99.99 than the Huawei Watch Fit that launched for AED 399 and has been reported will cost €119 when it lands in Europe.

If having built-in GPS is a must for you, then you may want to pick up the Huawei Watch Fit. But if you don’t mind taking your phone along with you while running, then you can save some money with Honor’s own watch.

Another difference that you should know is the number of workouts supported. The Honor Watch ES supports 10 professional workout modes and 85 customized training modes for a total of 95 while the Huawei Watch Fit has 11 professional workout modes and 85 custom training modes for a total of 96 workout modes. Unfortunately, neither Huawei nor Honor has provided a list of the supported professional modes, so we can’t narrow down the missing sports mode.

The two smartwatches have built-in storage for storing files you can listen to while working out. They also both have a SpO2 monitor, stress measurement, animated workout courses, and can track menstrual cycles.

Honor has been teasing its HUNTER gaming laptop for weeks now. Finally, the wait is about to over as the brand has officially announced to launch it on September 16 in China. It will be not the only product debuting at this event as the company has also confirmed to unveil HONOR Watch GS Pro and HONOR Watch ES for its home market.

HONOR HUNTER gaming laptop has been in leaks for a while now. Even the brand executives have been teasing it for weeks. Hence, we know some of the features of this upcoming notebook.

It is expected to feature vent design inspired by supercars with RGB LED lightings around it as well in the keyboard. A teaser video even revealed it to be powered by Intel Core i7 processor, however, there could be a variant with Core i5 like the Redmi G Gaming laptop. Since the launch will take place only in the third week of September, we can expect Honor to drop more information regarding its first gaming laptop on Weibo daily or intermittently until the day of the event.

The wearable includes all the necessary sensors such as optical heart rate sensor, SpO2 sensor, accelerometer, gyro, barometer, compass, and ambient light sensor. It also features built-in GPS with a feature called Route Back to help users navigate to their starting point.

Like other Huawei and Honor wearables, it runs LiteOS powered by HiSilicon Kirin A1 chipset and even supports Bluetooth calling with the help of built-in speaker and mic. Last but not least, it can be paired with both Android and iOS devices.

The HONOR Watch GS Pro is priced at €249.99 for the EU nations and £249.99 for the UK. It will be available for pre-order starting Septemeber 7 in Germany and September 8 in most European countries. However, it will be made available in Ital only on September 14.

It is too powered by HiSilicon Kirin A1 and runs Huawei’s in-house LiteOS with support for 95 workout modes and 12 animated workout courses. Further, it features an optical heart-rate sensor, SpO2 sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and ambient light sensor.

The wearable is water-resistant up to 5ATM pressures and offers all the common functionalities of a smartwatch such as app notifications, alerts for calls & messages, sleep tracking, stress-level tracking, menstrual cycle tracking, and more.

Lastly, it only provides a maximum of 10-day battery life and comes in three colorways – Meteorite Black, Coral Pink, and Icelandic White.

The HONOR Watch ES will be available in the UK starting tomorrow for £99.99. It will be also heading to France, Germany, Italy and Spain in the coming days for €99.99.
