Honor X30 now available for purchase in China; price starts at 1,499 yuan ($235)

A few days ago, Honor had officially launched the Honor X30 premium mid-range smartphone in its home market in China, along with another mid-range smartphone dubbed Honor Play 30 Plus 5G.

Today, the Honor X30 officially goes on sale in the China. The base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at 1,499 yuan (~$235) while the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs 1,699 yuan (~$267).

The 8GB RAM and 256GB model is priced at 1,999 yuan (~$314) while the top-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage costs 2,299 yuan which is about $361. It is offered in four colors — Dawn Gold, Titanium Silver, Meihai Blue, and Night Black.

Coming to the specifications, the Honor X30 features a 6.8-inch IPS LCD screen with a Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2388-pixel and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is claimed to offer an ultra-narrow 1.05mm bezel and a 94 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor which is manufactured using the 6nm node and comes with support for 5G connectivity.

In the camera department, there’s a triple-camera setup on the back that consists of a 48-megapixel primary camera sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front side, it features a 16-megapixel snapper for selfies and video calls.

The phone runs the Magic UI 5.0 which is based on the Android 11 operating system and is powered by a 4,800mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging. It is said to be capable of delivering a charging progression of 0 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.

Honor today held a launch event where it officially unveiled the Honor X30 premium mid-range smartphone. The X30 was unveiled alongside the Honor Play 30 Plus 5G, yet another premium mid-ranger.

The Honor X30 is the vanilla variant of the X30 Max and X30i that were released in October this year. The new model packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset which is a 6nm SoC with support for 5G connectivity. The processor pairs with 12GB RAM on the top end version but there is a 6GB RAM version. For storage, there are 128GB and 256GB storage options.

The X30 packs a 6.8-inch IPS LCD screen with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2388-pixel. The display also comes with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The display utilizes a punch-hole design under which sits a 16MP selfie shooter.

At the rear, the vanilla X30 features Honor’s iconic ring camera design with a wide circumference just like that of the Magic 3. The module holds a triple camera setup consisting of a 48MP main shooter. There is also a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera.

Keeping the lights on is a decent 4,800mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging that is capable of delivering a charging progression of 0-80% in just 30 minutes. For interface, the X30 runs on Honor’s proprietary Magic UI 5.0 based on Android 11.

Talking of the pricing and availability, the Honor X30 is priced at 1,499 yuan (~$235) for the 6GB+128GB variant while the higher 12GB + 256GB version is priced at 2,299 yuan (~$361). The device will be available in four colors – black, silver, gold, and blue. It is scheduled to go on sale in China from December 24. There is no word yet on the global release.

Tomorrow (Dec. 16), Honor will be announcing the Honor X30 smartphone in China. A Chinese tipster has shared the unconfirmed specs of the smartphone. At the same time, the device has made its appearance at the Geekbench benchmarking site.

The Honor X30 has been spotted with its ANY-AN00 model number on the benchmarking site. The octa-core chip that powers the device offers a 1.80GHz base frequency. The performance cores of the chip work at 2.21GHz. The SoC is equipped with Adreno 619 GPU. These clues confirm that the Snapdragon 695 chip is present under the hood of the device.

The SoC is coupled with 8 GB of RAM, and it runs on Android 11 OS, which will be overlaid with Magic UI 5.0. It scored 670 and 1886 in the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, respectively.

In October, Honor announced the Honor X30i and Honor X30 Max smartphones. It recently confirmed that the Honor X30 will be breaking cover at 3 PM (local time) on Dec. 16 in China. Now, the live shots of the handset have appeared online to showcase the design of the phone.

The Honor X30 hands-on images show that it will be equipped with a punch-hole display and thin bezels. It has an attractive round-shaped camera module on the back. The camera ring has three cameras and an LED flash.

It appears that the X30 is equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The hands-on images show that it will come in colors like black, silver/white, and gold. The below-shown render shared by Honor confirms that it will also come in a blue variant.

In October, Honor announced the Honor X30i and Honor X30 Max smartphones in China. Now, the brand is gearing to unleash the Honor X30 on Dec. 16 in the home market. Its rumored specs suggest that it will be positioned higher than the existing X30 models. Now, tipster Panda is Bald has shared a render to reveal the rear camera design of the Honor X30.

The leaked poster reveals that the Honor X30 will be flaunting a circular camera housing. It appears that the smartphone features a triple camera system and an LED flash. A recent leak claimed that the X30 has a 48-megapixel primary camera and a pair of 2-megapixel snappers.

While the Honor X30 is speculated to feature a punch-hole display, there is no image that showcases its front design. The only other thing that is known about the X30 is that it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 695 mobile platform. The other details of the smartphone are under the wraps.

Its right side is fitted with a volume rocker and a power key. Honor launched the Honor X30 Max and X30i smartphones a couple of months ago in its home market China and now the company is gearing up to launch the vanilla model of the lineup, dubbed Honor X30.

The brand has revealed that a new Honor X30 Product Launch Conference will be held on 16th December in China to officially launch the smartphone.

Sharing more details, Jiang Hairong, CMO of Honor in China has revealed that December 16th is the same date when the Honor 3X was launched in 2013. Now, in eight years, there have been more than 90 million users for the Honor X-series devices.

It has also been revealed that there are still more than 40,000 users of the Honor 3X and now on the eighth anniversary of the device, the company is all set to launch the Honor X30 smartphone in the Chinese market.

While the company has not revealed anything about this upcoming phone, reports indicate that the device could be the first device to come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset, which is an updated version of the existing Snapdragon 690 chip.

The chip, built using the 6nm process, comes with a Kryo 660 CPU and Adreno 619 GPU. It is said to offer 15 percent better CPU performance and 30 percent increased GPU performance. For connectivity, it supports both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G networks.

The Honor X30 is also expected to have a triple-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 48-megapixel primary sensor and two 2-megapixel sensors. The front-facing camera is said to be housed inside a punch-hole cutout on top of the display.

A couple of Honor phones was recently approved by the 3C authority of China. According to tipster Panda is Bald, the new phones that have appeared at 3C are the Honor X30, Honor Magic 4, Honor 60, and Honor 60 SE. He also shared the key specifications of the Honor X30.

Honor phones with model numbers TNA-AN00/TN00, ANY-AN00, and LSA-AN00 have been spotted with 66W fast charger in the recent past. As mentioned above, one of these phones could be Honor X30.

The X30 will be third phone in the X30 series, which includes handsets such as Honor X30i and Honor X30 Max. According to the tipster, the X30 will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset, which was announced recently by Qualcomm. The SD695 is an updated version of the existing Snapdragon 690 chip.
