This evening, Honor launched the X60 and X60 Pro in China. Both phones are designed with drop resistance in mind and are the first in the industry to obtain SGS Gold Label five-star reliability certification. However, there’s much more to discuss than just drop resistance. So, let’s take a closer look.

Honor X60/ X60 Pro specifications:

The standard model is built around a 6.8″ FHD+ (2412×1080) TFT LCD display that reaches a peak brightness of 850 nits under direct sunlight.

In comparison, the Pro model packs a 6.78″ AMOLED display that offers a higher 1.5K (2700×1224) resolution and supports a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits. Both devices support a 120Hz refresh rate.

Both the standard and Pro models feature a sleek design, measuring 7.88mm and 7.98mm in thickness, and weighing 189g and 188g, respectively.

The Honor X60 comes in three different color options: Mint Green, White, and Black, while the Pro model comes in an additional orange color variant.

Under the hood, the Honor X60 runs on the 6nm-based Dimensity 7025 Ultra, while the X60 Pro packs the 4nm-based Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip.

Despite the slick form factor, both the devices pack large batteries. The Honor X60 Pro packs a massive 6600mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging. In comparison, the X60 still packs a reasonably large 5800 mAh battery and supports 35W charging.

As for the cameras, both phones pack a single 108MP main camera on the back paired with an 8MP selfie shooter.

The Pro model supports up to 4K video recording at 30FPS with the rear camera and also offers EIS for stabilization with 1080p resolution. The base model, however, keeps things simple with support for 1080P recording.

Both the Honor X60 and X60 Pro come in four different configurations: 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB.

The pricing for the standard model starts from CNY 1199 (roughly USD $168), while the remaining three models retail for CNY 1399 (roughly USD $196), CNY 1599 (roughly USD $224), and CNY 1799 (roughly USD $252), respectively.

The X60 Pro starts from CNY 1499 (roughly USD $210), while the remaining three models are priced at CNY 1699 (roughly USD $238), CNY 1999 (roughly USD $280), and CNY 2299 (roughly USD $322), respectively. The last one supports satellite connectivity.

Upcoming Smartphones Next Week

Vivo X200 Series

The Vivo X200 series will be made official in China on October 14 (Monday). The lineup will include three devices, namely Vivo X200, Vivo X200 Pro, and Vivo X200 Pro Mini.

These phones will be the first to feature MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. They will be also the first to ship with Android 15 out of the box. Unsurprisingly, they will sport Zeiss optics like their predecessors.

The three of them will come with a flat frame and a circular camera module. The Pro models will sport a new Sony LYT-818 50MP main camera. The mini will be thinner than the iPhone 16 Pro and will yet pack a larger 5,700mAh battery.

As for pricing, the X200 series is tipped to start at ¥3,999 and go all the way up to ¥6,199.

Realme P1 Speed

The Realme P1 Speed is set to launch in India on October 15 (Tuesday). It will be the third model in the P1 series after P1 and P1 Pro.

The handset will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. The chipset will be paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

Further, the device will come with a 120Hz OLED display, a 50MP main camera, and an IP65 rating. It will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W charging.

Honor X60 Series

The Honor X60 series will be announced in China on October 16 (Wednesday). There will be two devices, namely Honor X60 and Honor X60 Pro.

Both phones will feature an identical design. However, there will be a difference in their specs. Also, only the top-end variant of X60 Pro will support satellite-based messaging service.

The vanilla X60 will house a 5,800mAh battery with support for 35W charging. While the X60 Pro will be equipped with a much larger 6,600mAh battery and will support 66W charging.

Unfortunately, both of them will come with less powerful chips. They are said to arrive with MediaTek Dimensity 7025 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 mobile platforms.

Infinix Zero Flip

The Infinix Zero Flip will debut in India on October 17 (Thursday). For the unaware, it is the brand’s first-ever foldable phone that was unveiled globally last month.

The clamshell handset is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC. It sports a 6.9-inch LTPO FHD+ 120Hz main display and a 3.64-inch cover screen.

The smartphone has a 50MP (wide) + 50MP (ultrawide) dual camera system. It draws energy from a 4,720mAh battery and supports 70W wired charging.

The product boots Android 14 and is guaranteed to receive only 2 Android updates and 3 years of security patches.

As per the leak, the Honor X60 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch curved-edge AMOLED screen that offers a resolution of 2700 x 1224 pixels. While it is not mentioned in the leak, it may support up to a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the Honor X60 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, which also powered the Honor X50 last year. Honor has already confirmed that the X60 Pro will be available in multiple configurations, such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. Among these, only the 512 GB edition will support the China Mobile Beiduo satellite SMS service.

One of the major highlights of the Honor X60 Pro is that it packs a huge 6,600mAh battery, 800mAh more than the X50. Thankfully, the device will support 66W fast charging. Despite the increase in battery size, the device will have a slim profile of 7.98mm. It will measure 162.8 x 75.5mm and weigh 188 grams.

At present, there is no information about the price of the device. It will come in four shades, such as black, Basalt Gray, Burning Orange, Sky Blue, and Elegant Black.
