Honor launched the Honor X60i on July 26 in China with an iPhone-like front design. The phone is now available for sale on JD.com with a starting price of 1399 Yuan (~$190). The phone comes in three storage and memory configurations – 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB. The latter two are priced at 1599 Yuan (~$220) and 1799 Yuan (~248) respectively.

The phone is powered by the Dimensity 6080 processor. This chipset packs 2 x Cortex-A76 clocked at 2.4GHz and 6 x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2GHz. It scores around 760 and 2050 in Geekbench single and multi-core scores respectively.

As you can see from the image, this phone looks similar to the latest iPhones from the front. The sides are also flat and the corners have a similar radius of curvature. However, the camera island on the back looks slightly different and offers a different camera setup. The dual camera system includes a 50MP main and a 2MP depth sensor. There is an 8MP selfie shooter on the front.

The phone weighs 172g and is only 7.18mm thick. In terms of appearance, this phone is available in four colors: Phantom Night Black, Coral Purple, Moon Shadow White, and Cloud Water Blue. You can see all four color options in the image below.

On the front, the phone houses a 6.7″ 90Hz IPS LCD display, which offers a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels. The panel reaches a global peak brightness of 1200 nits and a local peak brightness of 2000 nits (useful for HDR video playback).

The Honor X60i packs a 5000mAh battery and supports 35W wired charging. It also comes with an IP64 dust and water-resistant rating, which should protect the internals from water splashes.

Honor has launched a new smartphone in China. It is the Honor X60i and arrives as the successor to last year’s Honor X50i. The latest offering packs incremental upgrades over its predecessors including a new design, larger battery, and a better display. Read on to know what the device offers out of the box. 

Honor X60i specifications and features 

The Honor X60i comes with an OLED display measuring 6.7-inches and bearing an FHD+ resolution. It features an integrated fingerprint scanner, 2,000 nits peak brightness, and a 90Hz refresh rate. There is a pill-shaped cutout with symmetrical bezels on all sides. It works similar to Dynamic Island by displaying notifications and more. The device has a square camera module on the back panel with a subtle Huawei Pura-series-like look. It is IP64-certified dust and water-resistant. 

On the imaging front, the Honor X60i has a 50MP main and 2MP macro rear camera setup. There is an 8MP front-facing selfie snapper.  There’s AI Elimination feature that removes any unwanted objects from the images.

Internally, a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor keeps the Honor X60i running. It packs up to 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. There is also virtual RAM for smooth performance. The device is draws its power from a 5,000mAh battert unit with support for 35W fast charging. 

The Honor X60i is offered in Coral Purple, Cloud Blue, Moon Shadow White, and Magic Night Black colors. As for pricing, it starts at CNY 1,399 for the base 8GB + 256GB variant. The 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB RAM and storage configurations cost CNY 1,599 and CNY 1,799 respectively. The smartphone will be available for purchase from the brand’s official website and JD.com starting August 2.

The specs of Honor X60i have been leaked earlier, and the phone was even spotted in the TENAA certification. Now, Honor has officially started pre-orders for Honor X60i, with the phone set to arrive on July 26.

While Honor hasn’t announced the price of the Honor X60i on their official website yet, they have revealed the color options. If you want to get your hands on the phone early, you’ll need to register with your Honor account. The phone comes in Phantom Black, Coral Purple, Moon White, and Cloud Blue.

Honor X60i comes with a design similar to the iPhone, featuring boxy curved edges and the selfie camera notch. Although the official website hasn’t released the full specs, previous leaks indicated the phone might be 7.18mm thick, which is even thinner than the 7.8mm iPhone 15. It’s great to see a phone that thin with 5000 mAh battery and 35W charging.

Recently, an Honor phone bearing the LYN-AN00 was approved by China’s TENAA regulatory body. Now, the same device has appeared in the database of China Telecom’s product library with all its specifications and images. The listing confirms that the device will be called the Honor X60i when it arrives on the market.

As per the listing, the Honor X60i will arrive in China in three RAM and storage combinations, such as 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. These variants are listed with tentative price tags of 1,699 Yuan (~$235), 1,899 Yuan (~$260), and 2,099 Yuan (~$290). The phone is expected to be released in the Chinese market on July 26, and it will be available in shades, such as Phantom Night Black, Cloud Water Blue, Moon Shadow White, and Coral Purple.

Honor X60i specifications

The Honor X60i measures 161.05 x 74.55 x 7.18mm and weighs 172 grams. It will have a 6.7-inch IPS LCD panel that produces an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels. Interestingly, despite housing a single 8-megapixel front-facing camera, the screen has a pilled shaped cutout. On the back, the device has a 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera system.

Under the hood, the Honor X60i has the MediaTek MT6833P chip, which appears to be the Dimensity 6080 SoC. The handset will draw power from a 5,000mAh battery, which may have support for 35W fast charging.

The Honor X60i will run on MagicOS 8.0-based Android 14. For security, it features a side-facing fingerprint sensor. As the moniker goes, the device will succeed the Honor X50i, which went official in July 2023.

An alleged device belonging to the X60 family bearing the LYN-AN00 has been discovered in China’s TENAA certification platform database. The device will likely be called the Honor X60i when it arrives on the market.

The TENAA certification reveals that the Honor LYN-AN00 phone measures 161.05 x 74.55 x 71.8mm and weighs 172 grams. It has a 6.7-inch LCD panel that offers an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels.

The alleged X60i is powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core processor. It will be available in 6 GB / 8 GB / 12 GB / 16 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB / 512 GB / 1 TB of storage. The device lacks support for external storage. A 5,000mAh battery (4,9000mAh rated value) powers it, but no information about its fast-charging capabilities is available.

The LYN-AN00 has an 8-megapixel camera on the front. Its rear camera setup has a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel auxiliary lens. The listing also mentions an under-display fingerprint scanner, which appears to be an error since the phone has an LCD screen. The device might have a side-facing fingerprint sensor installed.

There is no information about the Honor X60i’s design as its images haven’t yet appeared in TENAA’s database.  The Honor X50i was announced last year in July.
