Honor has silently unveiled the Honor X6a entry-level smartphone in the UK. Some of its major highlights include massive storage, big storage, and a high refresh rate display. Here is all the information on the specifications, features, and price of the X6a.

Honor X6a specifications and features

The Honor X6a features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD panel with a waterdrop notch display. It offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels, an aspect ratio of 20.15:9, and a refresh rate of 90Hz. Under the hood, the X6a features the MediaTek Helio G36 octa-core processor. The device comes in 4 GB and 6 GB RAM variants. Both models offer 128 GB of internal storage. For additional storage, it has a microSD card slot.

The rear camera setup is a triple-camera system, including a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a depth camera with an f/2.4 aperture, and a macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. It supports portrait mode, time-lapse, super macro, HDR photo, and 1080p video recording. On the front, the Honor X6a has a 5-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The front camera also supports various capture modes like portrait mode, time-lapse photography, and face recognition.

The Honor X6a is powered by a 5,200mAh that supports 22.5W wired charging. It runs on Magic OS 7.1, based on Android 13. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports dual nano SIM cards, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. For security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Lastly, the device measures 163.32 x 75.07 x 8.35mm and weighs 188 grams.

Honor X6a price and availability

The Honor X6a is priced at GBP 129 (~$165) in the UK and comes in shades like Midnight Black, Sky Silver, and Cyan Lake. While it is expected to be released in other European countries soon, it is unclear which other markets outside of Europe will receive it.

Honor is reportedly gearing up to launch a new entry-level smartphone dubbed the Honor X6a in the European market. A new report by Appuals has revealed its key specifications and renders. Hence, it appears that it will not take too long for it go official.

Honor X6a design

The Honor X6a can be seen sporting a design similar to the Honor Play 40, which debuted earlier this month in China. On the front, it has a punch-hole display, and its back panel has a dual-camera system. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The device is expected to arrive in two shades, green and black.

Honor X6a specifications, price (rumored)

From the outside, the Honor X6a looks different from the Honor Play 40. Internally, both devices have identical specifications. It houses a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display that offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the Honor X6a will feature the Snapdragon 480 Plus chipset, 6 GB of RAM, and a big 5,200mAh battery that supports 10W charging. It is expected to run on Magic UI-based Android 13.

On the front, the Honor X6a will have a 5-megapixel front camera. The back panel of the device will have a 13-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an LED flash. The report further reveals that the device, which will come in a 6GB+128GB configuration only, will be priced at 169 euros in Europe.

In related news, Honor’s next launch event for the Chinese market will be held on July 12. The brand is expected to announce multiple products, such as the Honor Magic V2 foldable phone, the Honor MagicPad 13 tablet, the Honor Watch 4, and the Honor Smart Screen 5 TV.

Next week, the brand will introduce the Magic V2 in its home country alongside several other interesting products. While we wait, a new smartphone from the Chinese brand has been spotted online on the TDRA website. The Honor X6a could launch very soon in the international market as the budget model in the series. Here are the details.

Honor X6a should launch soon

Honor’s X series is full of value-for-money mid-rangers, with the Honor X50 being the latest one. However, the lineup also includes some decent budget models. Honor X7a and Honor X8a are some examples. These phones are likely to be joined by a new device soon— Honor X6a. It has recently been spotted on the TDRA website with model WDY-LX2, hinting at a nearby global launch.

Honor’s naming approach seems to be very different from most other brands. In general, phone manufacturers use a sequential naming convention, where each new model has a higher number than the previous model. This means X Phone 1 will be the successor of X Phone 2. But it is the opposite in Honor’s case. The company has already launched Honor X7a and now has Honor X6a in the works.

In any case, we don’t know any specifications of the Honor X6a yet. The budget smartphone may succeed the Honor X7a, which comes with a MediaTek Helio G37 processor. It also gets a 6.75-inch TFT LCD display as well as a 50MP primary camera on the back. The device comes fueled by a 5330 or 6000 mAh battery depending on the region.
