Honor has quietly added another smartphone to its X series, dubbed the Honor X8e, targeting users who prioritize battery life and durability. The new model shares several similarities with an existing handset in the company’s lineup. It also combines AI features with a design focused on everyday resilience.

Honor X8e 4G specifications and features

The Honor X8e 4G features a 6.87-inch TFT LCD with a 1,592 x 720-pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,020 nits of peak brightness. It runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 and uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 685 processor with an Adreno 610 GPU. The phone comes with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, alongside RAM Turbo technology that offers a virtual memory experience equivalent to 8GB+16GB.

On the rear, the handset features a 108MP primary camera with an f/1.75 aperture and an auxiliary lens. It supports video recording at up to 1080p and offers 8x digital zoom. A 5MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. Additional features include AI Image to Video 2.0, an AI button for quick access to tools, NFC and dual Nano-SIM support. Connectivity is limited to 4G, with Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 also available.

A 7,700mAh battery powers the phone, with support for 45W Honor SuperCharge wired charging. The device carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance, although these protections can diminish with regular wear. Honor also claims resistance to drops from heights of up to 2.5 metres under controlled laboratory conditions, backed by an SGS Premium Performance certification for drop and crush resistance. It measures 168.3 x 78.54 x 8.3mm and weighs 218.5g
