HP has launched the new Omen 16 gaming laptop. The company recently unveiled the new Omen Transcend 14 & 16 laptops at CES 2024, and now, the Omen 16 has been released in the Indian market. So here are all the details.

HP Omen 16 Gaming Laptop Specs

The HP Omen 16 sports a tall 16.1-inch display that offers FHD resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, 100 percent sRGB color gamut, 7ms response time, anti-glare panel, and 300 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it is equipped with the Intel Core i7 14700HX processor that is paired with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. For memory, the gaming laptop houses up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and 1TB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe storage.

A 6 cell 83Wh battery pack powers this notebook that supports fast charging. The laptop runs on Windows 11 operating system out of the box. Other notable features include dual speakers tuned by Bang and Olufsen, Intel WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, an FHD webcam with dual array digital mics, full size keyboard with 4 zone RGB backlit, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

HP Omen 16 Pricing and Availability

The HP Omen 16 will be available in a single Shadow Black color option. It weighs 2.32 kilograms and also comes with a 1 month subscription to the Xbox Game Pass, McAfee LiveSafe (12 months free trial), and Microsoft Home and Student 2021. The laptop will be sold in India for a starting price tag of 160,999 INR. Buyers also get a set of gaming peripherals like the HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 Wireless Gaming Mouse, the Pulsefire Mat Gaming Mouse Pad, and the HyperX Cloud Stinger Core gaming headset. HP is offering an instant discount of up to 10,000 INR via multiple banks.

HP on Tuesday unveiled its new Omen 16 gaming laptop in India. The HP Omen 16 succeeds the Omen series in the country with its powerful Nvidia RTX 30 series GPU and Intel’s 11th Gen processor. Let’s have a look at its pricing and specifications.

HP Omen 16 Gaming laptop Specifications

The HP Omen 16 has two variants, one with a 16.1-inch display featuring a 144Hz refresh rate and another variant with the same display offering a higher 165Hz refresh rate. The screen comes with 300 nits of brightness and has a 100% sRGB colour gamut. The higher-end(165Hz) variant comes with a 3ms response time, while the lower-end(144Hz) variant has a 7ms response time.

Under the hood, the higher-end(165Hz) is powered by the Intel Core i7-11800H processor paired with 8GB of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU. The lower-end(144Hz) is powered by the Intel Core-i7-11800H processor paired with 6GB of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU. The laptops have up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 3200Mhz. There’s 1TB of PCIe Gen 4×4 SSD storage inside which is said to be two times faster than the traditional SATA SSDs.

The Omen 16 comes with an 83Whr battery that is claimed to last for up to 9 hours. It is bundled with a 230W AC power adapter offering quick charging speeds. As it is a gaming laptop it comes with an RGB keyboard featuring four-zone anti-ghosting keys. The keys support Omen Gaming Hub Light Studio integration for customising the colour theme of the keyboard.
