HP has launched the new Omen 16 gaming laptop. The company recently unveiled the new Omen Transcend 14 & 16 laptops at CES 2024, and now, the Omen 16 has been released in the Indian market. So here are all the details.

HP Omen 16 Gaming Laptop Specs

The HP Omen 16 sports a tall 16.1-inch display that offers FHD resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, 100 percent sRGB color gamut, 7ms response time, anti-glare panel, and 300 nits of peak brightness. HP has just expanded its gaming product portfolio with a couple of new Omen and Victus series of gaming laptops along with other gaming peripherals and accessories in the Indian market. The new notebooks arrive with the latest 13th Gen Intel series processor and Nvidia’s new RTX 4000 series of graphics cards as well. So here are all the details.

HP Omen 16

The new 2023 Omen 16 model sports a 16 inch FHD display that offers a 165Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time, which is great for gamers. Under the hood, the new gaming notebook is equipped with the 13th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU that can be paired with up to NVIDIA RTX 4050 graphics cards. This processor is also offered with up to 32GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM as well.

It offers an FHD webcam on the front, which even offers a manual shutter for better privacy. To handle these beefy specs, the Omen 16 is built with an improved cooling system that features a new square venting design for improved airflow. The Victus 16 features the OMEN Tempest Cooling system as well, which helps keep thermals in check. It sports a 16 inch FHD display that also offers 165Hz refresh rate. Other notable features include, 2.29 kilograms in weight, bright colors with mica silver and performance blue, and dual speakers powered by B&O.

HyperX Cloud II Core Wireless Gaming Headphones

HP also announced a new gaming headset to expand its gaming peripheral range in the market. The new hearable in question is the HyperX Cloud II Core Wireless gaming headphones. HP has just announced a couple of new gaming laptops for the Indian market. These models have been launched in two of its gaming lineup of notebooks and includes new OMEN and Victus models. So let’s have a look.

OMEN 16 & OMEN 17

Talking about the OMEN series first, both laptop models feature similar specifications, with the display being the primary difference. The OMEN 16 features a 16.1 inch display while the OMEN 17 sports a larger 17.3 inch panel. As of right now, the PC maker has yet to reveal the processors that power both models, but has confirmed that they are 12th Gen Intel CPUs. Furthermore, the brand also confirmed that the OMEN 16 and OMEN 17 will feature up to an RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti GPUs for the Nvidia options, and an AMD Radeos RX 6650M GPU for the team red option.

OMEN 17

For storage, the brand is offering up to 2TB of Gen4 SSD storage along with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM. Notably, both laptops offer 165Hz refresh rate and quad HD screen resolution. HP has also placed an emphasis on cooling with the new laptops by adding new heat pipe and outflow vent to help keep the notebooks cool when performing intensive tasks like gaming.

Victus 15 & Victus 16

Arriving at the other gaming laptop series, the company has also announced the new Vitus 15 and Victus 16 models in India as well. As the name suggests, the former has a 15.6 inch display while the former has a larger 16.1 inch panel. While both offer FHD resolution, only the bigger sibling has 144Hz high refresh rate. The Victus 15 will also be powered by 12th Gen Intel i5 or an i7 CPU that will be paired with up to an RTX 3050 Ti GPU.

Victus 16

On the other hand, the Victus 16 is equipped with a Ryzen 7 6800H CPU and RTX 3050 Ti GPU. The storage configuration of the Victus 15 is unknown, but the 16 inch variant is confirmed to house up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. It will also come with a new heat management system that is design to offer better cooling performance as well.

OMEN Desktop PCs

HP has also announced new HP OMEN desktop series of PCs as well. This includes the new OMEN 45L, 40L and 25L models. Each of them are powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700F CPU and up to an Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU. For storage, the desktop gaming PCs will also offer up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. These desktops also arrive with a ‘Cyro’ cooling chamber for ambient air based cooling technology, with its cabinet featuring a glass design and even offers tool less access and complete RGB control as well. These PCs will also feature up to an 800W PSU.

Victus 15L Desktop PC

The last product announced was the Victus 15L desktop gaming PC. This computer is available in either 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700F or the AMD Ryzen 7 5700G CPU. For graphics, it is paired with the Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti GPU. HP has claimed that the new desktop lineup will also offer “extensive” customization options as well as the ability to upgrade different PC components in the future.

The OMEN 16 laptop starts from 1,09,999 INR (roughly 1,400 US Dollars) and is currently available for purchase on the company’s official website. Meanwhile, the MOEN 17 is set to launch sometime in August 2022 and will start from 1,99,999 INR (roughly 2,555 US Dollars). Out of all the new gaming laptops, the Victus 15 is the most affordable and costs 67,999 INR (roughly 869 US Dollars), with its release set for next month.

On the other hand, the Victus 16 is on sale as of right now and has a price tag of 84,999 INR (roughly 1,085 US Dollars). Lastly, the OMEN desktops are available for purchase right now and start from 1,49,999 INR (roughly 1,915 US Dollars), while the Victus 15L model which is also available now starts has a starting price tag of 93,999 INR (roughly 1,200 US Dollars).

HP on Tuesday unveiled its new Omen 16 gaming laptop in India. The HP Omen 16 succeeds the Omen series in the country with its powerful Nvidia RTX 30 series GPU and Intel’s 11th Gen processor. Let’s have a look at its pricing and specifications.

HP Omen 16 Gaming laptop Specifications

The HP Omen 16 has two variants, one with a 16.1-inch display featuring a 144Hz refresh rate and another variant with the same display offering a higher 165Hz refresh rate. The screen comes with 300 nits of brightness and has a 100% sRGB colour gamut. The higher-end(165Hz) variant comes with a 3ms response time, while the lower-end(144Hz) variant has a 7ms response time.

Under the hood, the higher-end(165Hz) is powered by the Intel Core i7-11800H processor paired with 8GB of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU. The lower-end(144Hz) is powered by the Intel Core-i7-11800H processor paired with 6GB of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU. The laptops have up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 3200Mhz. There’s 1TB of PCIe Gen 4×4 SSD storage inside which is said to be two times faster than the traditional SATA SSDs.
