The device is tipped as running on Android 8.0 Oreo and will be part of Google’s Android One program. This detail was leaked on Twitter by a popular tipster and was even confirmed by famous tipster Evan Blass.

Evan Blass has got quite some reputation for credible leaks so it looks possible that the HTC U11 Life will indeed launch with stock Android O. The tipster also revealed that the device will have a variant that will come with Sense 9.0 and also shared a render of the device which looks very much like the U11. However, we can’t say what market will get that variant but the two variants will likely not sell on one market at the same time. Earlier rumors had tipped the U11 Life as launching sometime in October.

HTC Ocean_Life will be released under Android One program. It will lose most of the HTC apps and run stock Android O with Sense 9.0_A1.

The HTC U11 Life is said to go by the codename Ocean Life and it has all the settings of being a mid-range smartphone. Previous leaks had revealed the U11 Life will be powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor which isn’t found on too many phones yet. The device packs a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080p. There will be a single 16MP camera at the rear as well as a 16MP selfie shoot up front. In addition, the U11 Life will get its juice from a 2,600mAH battery which will be complemented by the good processor to ensure the battery lasts for a while. The device may also come with IP68 waterproof and dustproof body.

The specs don’t look too appealing except the SD 660 chip onboard. The 2600mAH battery may be a turn off for some persons. So, it remains to be seen if HTC will be able to pull off some success out of the U11 Life.

Fresh information suggests that HTC will be releasing HTC Ocean Life smartphone before the end of this year. A fresh image of the smartphone has appeared and it is now speculated to debut as HTC U11 Life.

The HTC U11 Life is expected to come with a 5.2-inch display that produces a full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The leaked image of the phone suggests that its frontside resembles with HTC U11 and HTC 10 from the previous year. Below the display of the phone is the front-mounted fingerprint reader.

The top bezel of the HTC U11 Life has a 16-megapixel Panorama selfie camera. The rear side of the smartphone is also flanked with a 16-megapixel camera that is coupled with phase detection autofocus. The Snapdragon 630 chipset will be powering the HTC U11 Life. However, a previous report had revealed that the Snapdragon 660 chipset will be powering the HC U11 Life. As of this writing, there is no information available on its RAM.

It will be coming with a native storage of 32 GB and it will also feature a microSD card slot. It will be packed in a IP67 certified chassis. It will be arriving with HTC USonic earphones coupled with active noise cancellation. It is likely that the smartphone may not feature a 3.5mm audio jack just like the HTC U11. in other words, it will allow headphone connectivity through the USB-C port of the phone.

The pressure-sensitive metallic frame available on HTC U11 as Edge Sense will be also present on HTC U11 Life.
There is no information available on the pricing of the HTC U11 Life. In the U.S., it is expected to be exclusively available for purchase through T-Mobile. The unlocked edition of the smartphone will be available for buying through HTC.com.

Thanks Sascha!

A report published around six months ago revealed that HTC would be releasing only 6 to 7 smartphones this year. In this year, it has already released the HTC U Ultra, HTC U Play, HTC X10 and HTC U11 flagship phone. It seems that the Taiwanese company will be releasing 2 to 3 smartphones in the remaining half of this year. On Weibo, couple of leaked photos of a new HTC flagship featuring bezeless display have surfaced.

As of this writing, there is no way to confirm whether these images are real or fake. As it can be seen in the images, the mysterious HTC flagship seems to be featuring a borderless display with no bezels on its right and left sides. The top bezel features have an OCEAN logo and is thick enough to house dual front cameras.

The dialer app and other Google apps can be seen at the upper part of the screen. The smartphone has rounded corners and its rear seems to feature a pair of vertically arranged cameras along with dual-LED flash. There is no information available on the specifications of this mysterious phone. Since this mysterious phone is packed with some impressive features, there is a possibility that it would be equipped with a pressure sensitive Edge Sense technology enabled frame.

There is a possibility that these images could belong to the rumored HTC Ocean Life phone. The probable reason behind it is that the Ocean Life smartphone is speculated to come with 16-megapixel dual cameras at the front and rear. It is speculated to feature a 5.2-inch display that will produce full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. It is speculated to launch as the first Snapdragon 660 chipset smartphone from HTC.

It will be borrowing some features from the HTC U11 flagship phone such as Edge Sense pressure sensitive frame and USonic audio capabilities. It will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and Sense 9.0 UI. Other features of the HTC Ocean Life include Bluetooth v5.0 and 2,600mAh battery.
