A member of the HTC community, Corn Chen has revealed the codenames and features of three other devices set to be released before the end of 2017. The three phones are Ocean Master, Ocean Harmony, and Ocean Lite.

https://twitter.com/corn_chen_/status/909792878498476035

Ocean Master is said to be a 6-inch device with 12MP and 8MP cameras. It will also come in two configurations – a 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant and a 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM model.

Ocean Lite and Ocean Harmony on the other hand will both have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. However, Lite will have a 5.2-inch display and Harmony will keep the 6-inch screen size.

According to him, Ocean Master and Ocean Lite may be announced in November and Ocean Harmony will be announced in December.

That’s not all Corn Chen revealed. A few days ago, he also posted a picture on Twitter that revealed the design and name of HTC’s standalone VR headset.

The VR headset will launch as the HTC Vive Focus and will be powered by Google’s Daydream. The VR headset is shown to be slightly bulky with two straps – one that goes behind the head and another one that sits on top of the head. It also has a controller identical to that of the Daydream View.

It is expected to arrive in three versions: HTC Ocean Smart, HTC Ocean Note, and HTC Ocean Master. Today, several leaked photos of the protective case of HTC Ocean Note have surfaced which indicates that it will carry support for a stylus.

HTC Ocean Note Case Leaked Photos

The HTC Ocean series has been in rumors since September this year. Initial rumors had suggested that all the three Ocean smartphones would be futuristic phones that will not feature any physical buttons.

The new leaked images of Ocean Note case features holes for physical buttons and camera key. The shape of the provided hole on the bottom edge of the cover indicates it won’t feature a 3.5 mm audio jack, but it will come with a USB Type-C through which users will be able to connect headphones.

Besides the USB Type-C cut-out on the protective cover, there is another gap available which seems to a dedicated jack for inserting the stylus. Previous rumors have also claimed that the HTC Ocean Note could a stylus-totting variant among the HTC Ocean series smartphones. The Ocean Note is also expected to feature a larger screen in comparison to Ocean Smart and Ocean Master.

Here are the HTC Ocean Note case leaked photos:

All HTC Ocean phones were rumored to house dual cameras on their rear sides. However, the leaked photos of the protective sleeve indicate that the Ocean Note would be featuring a single rear camera with a dual LED flash.

One of the leaked photos suggests that HTC Ocean Note will be sporting a design that is quite like that of HTC 10. In fact, all three Ocean smartphones are rumored to design cues from HTC 10.

HTC Ocean Smart, Ocean Master

The Ocean Smart variant is expected to be a midrange model whereas the Ocean Master is rumored as a flagship device. It is speculated that Ocean Master will be lacking physical buttons.

In the absence of physical keys, the Sense Touch feature will allow users can touch certain areas on the metallic frame to carry out actions like increasing and decreasing volumes and snapping photos. The smartphone would be able to recognize various hand and finger actions like swipe and tap to perform different actions.

Speculations are rife that the HTC Ocean lineup will be announced at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2017 at the Las Vegas in January 2017.

The HTC Ocean code-named first featured in a leaked video (included) teasing an unknown HTC device.

The HTC Ocean was then confirmed as existing by popular tipster Evan Bass via a twitter post sometime in October. Later on, another popular tipster @LlabTooFeR also added his voice, even taking it further by revealing three code-names apparently for three different versions of the HTC 11. The three code-names include, Ocean Master, Ocean Note and Ocean Smart.

HTC 11 Expected Specs & Launch Date

There are currently no official words on the specs the HTC Ocean would feature but it would most likely feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, probably the latest Snapdragon 835. The device is expected with a 4GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage on the base version. Considering the three leaked code-names, the HTC Ocean may likely have more than one storage version. The device might also come with support for Google’s new VR platform Daydream.

In addition, the HTC Ocean would most likely use the USB Type-C interface and come without the 3.5mm audio jack. HTC did that on the HTC 10 Evo that was announced recently as well as on the HTC Bolt. The device will likely also feature a front sitting fingerprint sensor and will most likely run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box with touch of the latest HTC Sense.

Furthermore, there is likely going to be more than one display sizes on the three different versions but we don’t have a specific figure for now. A rumor suggesting details of the display says the HTC 11 will sport a 5.5-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution just like the Pixel XL. There are rumors that there would be a curved display on one of the versions of the HTC Ocean. We also cannot say just yet if HTC will opt for an LCD or AMOLED display but latest HTC devices use LCD displays.

On the cameras, the leaked video did feature a dual rear camera setup on the HTC Ocean and that could be an indication that the device would launch with dual cameras at the rear. Though, a leak on Weibo tipped the HTC 11 as coming with a 12MP rear sensor as well as an 8MP front-facing shooter. The device is rumored to launch sometime during the MWC 2017 but if that doesn’t happen, then we’ll be looking at March 2017. We can’t be so sure about any of that, though.
