HTC released the HTC U Ultra last month as their first flagship for the year. The device which was first launched in Taiwan has made it to China now.

The official HTC Weibo account announced today the price for the HTC U Ultra. The U Ultra will go on sale on March 1 on the company’s official website, Lynx, and Jingdong Mall for ¥5088 (~$739). The price might come as a shocker to those who thought it will be significantly less than the $749 price in the US.  Nevertheless, that is the price for the 4GB RAM + 64GB variant as HTC didn’t reveal that of the 128GB model.

The HTC U Ultra is a fine device with a new design language the Taiwanese manufacturer is not tired of showing off. It sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and an additional 2-inch display positioned at the top like you have in the LG V20. There is a Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a SD card slot that expands it up to 256GB. There is a 12MP UltraPixel sensor with a f/1.8 aperture and OIS on the rear and a 16MP shooter up front.

The post says the HTC U Ultra will also make its way to Japan on the 10th of March. It will be available in blue, black, white, and pink.
