In late February, Huawei launched the HUAWEI FreeBuds 4i truly wireless earphones ahead of the HUAWEI Mate X2 announcement in China. The company has now brought this product to the UK with an exciting pre-order offer.

HUAWEI FreeBuds 4i Specifications and Features

The HUAWEI FreeBuds 4i is the company’s latest TWS. They are the successor to last year’s HUAWEI FreeBuds 3i. But unlike the older model, the new one comes with a different design and a much better battery life.

Talking about specs, the new Huawei truly wireless earphones feature 10mm dynamic drivers. The buds feature an in-ear design with silicon tips and weigh about 5.5g each. They also have the Apple AirPods-esque stems and come in three colors (Ceramic White, Carbon Crystal Black, Honey Red).

Further, the earbuds connect with devices via Bluetooth 5.2. They also have support for wear detection and fast pairing but the latter only works with HUAWEI smartphones running EMUI 10.0 or above.

Like any other TWS, this one also comes with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). Users can switch between ANC off/on or Awareness Mode (transparency mode). The buds also support touch gesture controls.

As for battery life, each earbud is backed by a 55mAh battery, which Huawei claims to offer up to 10 hours of music playback with ANC turned off and up to 7.5 hours with ANC enabled. For voice calls, the endurance drops to 6.5 hours and 5.5 hours respectively.

Whereas, with the charging case (215mAh battery), users can get up to 22 hours of music playback at 50% volume with ANC disabled. Lastly, the case charges via a USB Type-C port.

HUAWEI FreeBuds 4i UK Price and Availability

The HUAWEI FreeBuds 4i will be available for pre-orders in the UK starting this Friday (March 12). They are priced at £79.99 and will be available for purchase from March 26. 

Customers who pre-order the product from Huawei online store will get a £5 discount and a free HUAWEI Band 4 via redemption.

Unfortunately, only the Ceramic White and the Carbon Crystal Black color variants will be sold initially. Whereas, the Honey Red variant will be available in mid-April.

The TWS will be also available at select retailers, apart from the Huawei online store.
