The ranking takes into consideration the system&#8217;s file copying speed, desktop slider response, web page loading time, boot loader, app response during usage, photo viewing experience and several user experiences. These parameters are used to verify the adaptability, optimization and fluidity of the mobile phone&#8217;s system UI.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-15.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-266577" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-15.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Mate 20X 5G" width="600" height="399" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-15.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-15-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>The list shows that the top three most fluid smartphones in July are the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/huawei">Huawei</a> Mate 20 X 5G, ASUS ROG Gaming Phone 2 and ZTE AXON 10 Pro 5G. Their scores are 146.41, 144.29 and 141.98 respectively. As a reminder, the Kirin 980 powers the Mate 20 X 5G while the ASUS ROG 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC and Snapdragon 855 for the Axon 10 5G.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/master-lu-phone-fluency.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-267893" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/master-lu-phone-fluency.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="600" height="656" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/master-lu-phone-fluency.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/master-lu-phone-fluency-274x300.jpg 274w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/master-lu-phone-fluency-384x420.jpg 384w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>Other models on the list include the Honor 9X Pro, Vivo iQOO Neo, Honor 9X, Huawei Nova 5i Pro, Lenovo Z6, Vivo Y7s, Xiaomi Mi CC9 Mito custom version, Xiaomi Mi CC9, Samsung Galaxy A80 and Xiaomi Mi CC9e.</p>

<p>It is worth noting that some new mobile platforms or chipsets have appeared on the list for thebfirat time this July. One of such is the Snapdragon 810 Mobile platform which powers the Honor 9 Pro and Hoor 9X and Nova 5i Pro. Others include the Snapdragon 730G powering the Galaxy A80 and Snapdragon 665 onboard the Mi CC9e.</p>
<p>It is also noteworthy that almost all the phones on the list run new chipsets which underscore the small but important upgrades that are included on new phones with each release cycle.</p>

One of these is the Balong 5000 modem that can achieve peak download speeds of 4.6Gbps in the sub-6Hz low-frequency band, as well as other interesting components. iFixIt has afforded an opportunity to see what lies inside the Mate 20X 5G.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-267282" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="800" height="598" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-300x224.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-768x574.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-696x520.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-562x420.jpg 562w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>The Mate 20X 5G may look almost similar to the Mate 20X on the outside but the internal components can&#8217;t be arranged the same. One conspicuous feature on the device is the physical fingerprint sensor at the bottom of the rear cameras. Also, the device doesn&#8217;t have a 3.5mm audio jack, something that was present in the regular version. Compared to the Mate 20 Pro, the Mate 20 X (5G) looks bigger.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-4.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-267285" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-4.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="800" height="594" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-4.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-4-300x223.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-4-768x570.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-4-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-4-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-4-485x360.jpg 485w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-4-696x517.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-4-566x420.jpg 566w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>The disassembly process begins with the removal of the SIM card slots. Later on, a pry tool is used to remove the back cover. Interestingly, the back cover comes off without heating. That is probably because the adhesive is yet to dry. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-5.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-267286" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-5.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Mate 20X 5G teardown" width="800" height="598" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-5.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-5-300x224.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-5-768x574.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-5-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-5-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-5-696x520.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-5-562x420.jpg 562w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>There are a lot of screws inside the mobile phone, keeping in place features such as  NFC coils, antennas and graphite thermal pads. Two of the screws are very well hidden, one behind the protective sticker and the other under the camera flash. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-6.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-267287" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-6.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="800" height="597" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-6.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-6-300x224.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-6-768x573.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-6-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-6-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-6-696x519.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-6-563x420.jpg 563w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>The motherboard of the device is quite easy to disassemble, and the same is true for the triple rear cameras.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-7.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-267288" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-7.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="800" height="599" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-7.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-7-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-7-768x575.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-7-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-7-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-7-696x521.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-7-561x420.jpg 561w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000">EDITOR&#8217;S PICK:</span> <a title="Huawei Mate 20X 5G hands on pictures and specs review" href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/07/26/huawei-mate-20x-5g-hands-on-pictures-and-specs-review/" rel="bookmark">Huawei Mate 20X 5G hands-on pictures and specs review</a></strong></p>
<p>In the initial disassembly, iFixit did not find the Balong 5000 modem, which is the &#8220;core&#8221; of this 5G phone. But later on, after removing a memory chip, the Kirin 980 (HiSilicon Hi3680 GFCV150) was found underneath. So iFixit began to remove the multiple memory chips on the motherboard and finally, the Balong 5000 (HiSilicon Hi9500 GFCV101) after knocking out a chip.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-8.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-267289" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-8.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="800" height="597" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-8.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-8-300x224.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-8-768x573.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-8-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-8-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-8-696x519.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-8-563x420.jpg 563w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>Interestingly, the Balong 5000 is equipped with proprietary memory, which is the Samsung LPDDR4X chip that has just been knocked out. It has a 3GB size and seems to be a data buffer.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-9.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-267290" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-9.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="800" height="597" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-9.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-9-300x224.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-9-768x573.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-9-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-9-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-9-696x519.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-9-563x420.jpg 563w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>Next is the battery which has instructions on the body to guide you on how to disassemble. iFixit thinks this is very good because it makes disassembly easier. There was no heating this time. This battery is exactly the same as the Mate 20 Pro, which is 16.04 watt-hours (4200 mAh). This battery is much lower than the Mate 20 X. The Mate 20 X uses a 19.1 watt-hour (5000 mAh) battery.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-10.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-267291" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-10.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="800" height="595" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-10.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-10-300x223.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-10-768x571.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-10-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-10-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-10-485x360.jpg 485w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-10-696x518.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-10-565x420.jpg 565w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>Next is the screen, which is very tightly glued, but it is easy to remove as soon as it is heated. There is nothing extra inside (screen fingerprint sensor, etc.), only the screen and the metal middle frame, the screen is made by Samsung.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-11.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-267292" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-11.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="800" height="600" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-11.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-11-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-11-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-11-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-11-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-11-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-5G-11-560x420.jpg 560w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>Like the Mate 20X, there is a soaking plate on the aluminium frame behind the graphite foil inside. The above is the disassembly of Huawei Mate 20 X (5G), most of which are Huawei&#8217;s own chips and Asian manufacturers&#8217; products (Samsung, Toshiba). In the end, iFixit gave a fixability score of 4 points, which means it is not easy to disassemble.</p>

Early rumors claimed that the Huawei Mate 20X 5G would be priced of 10,000 yuan, which would&#8217;ve made it at least $<span class="DFlfde SwHCTb" data-precision="2" data-value="1453.6573999999998">1,453. That&#8217;s a pretty ridiculous price tag, but it&#8217;s inline with most other 5G devices. Thankfully however, Huawei&#8217;s had some restraint and have decided to price the device at 6199 yuan, which is about $901.</span></p>
<p>According to He Gang, head of Huawei&#8217;s mobile division, claims Huawei has priced its new 5G phone aggressively in order ensure better 5G adoption among consumers. He claims that for first generation 5G smartphones, companies should be focusing less on profits and more towards getting the devices into the hands of actual consumers. The focus should be on promoting faster growth of 5G development and adoption to standardize the technology.</p>

<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-266667" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Huawei-Mate-20X-5G.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="1600" height="800" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Huawei-Mate-20X-5G.jpg 1600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Huawei-Mate-20X-5G-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Huawei-Mate-20X-5G-768x384.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Huawei-Mate-20X-5G-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Huawei-Mate-20X-5G-696x348.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Huawei-Mate-20X-5G-1068x534.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Huawei-Mate-20X-5G-840x420.jpg 840w" sizes="(max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px" /></p>
<p>He Gang goes on to say that Huawei has no need to price the devices any higher than they already have. They development of 5G networks is slow, and they want to adopt more aggressive pricing to speed it up. The ultimate goal is to get 5G into the hands of as many consumers as quickly as possible. Only then will 5G networks be optimized faster. Once that is achieved, the user experience will also improve drastically.</p>
<p>It is worth mentioning that Huawei Mate 20X 5G is the first 5G commercial mobile phone that supports both NSA/SA networking modes. He Gang said that the difference between SA and NSA is that in the NSA networking mode, the 5G base station accesses the 4G core network. We&#8217;re eager to see whether this approach will work out for Huawei. For any updates regarding Huawei and their 5G development, stay tuned on Gizmochina.com.</p>

The phone is one of the few 5G smartphones that have been announced this year. Already, there have been wild speculations about it is launched. Some carriers, even in the UK have indicated willingness to sell the Mate 20 X 5G despite the Huawei/US government debacle.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-2.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-266567" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-2.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Mate 20X 5G" width="600" height="399" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-2.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-2-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>The Mate 20X 5G version comes only in Emerald Green color with a matte finish on the back panel. The back panel also sports a 5G logo. These are the obvious difference between the 5G edition and the regular Mate 20 X announced last year. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-266565" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Mate 20 X 5G" width="600" height="399" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>On the internals, it packs a 4200mAh battery which is slightly lower than the 5000mAh cell on the Mate 20 X. The inclusion of 5G antennas is responsible for the reduction in the size of the 5G edition. However, the 5G version comes with a quicker 40W fast charging technology and  Huawei did include a 40W charging adapter.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-3.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-266568" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-3.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Mate 20X" width="600" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-3.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-3-300x196.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>Also, the device comes with a Balong 5000 modem that can achieve peak download speeds of 4.6Gbps in the sub-6Hz low-frequency band. The speed improves by 10X to 6.5Gbps if using millimetre wave or high-frequency band. But the 5G network is only restricted to the first SIM slot. The second SIM is limited to 4G networks only.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-9.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-266571" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-9.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Mate 20X 5G" width="600" height="399" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-9.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-9-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>he rest of the specifications remain the same with the 4G Mate 20X. That is a massive 7.2-inch OLED display with a waterdrop-style notch. The display offers an aspect ratio of 18.7:9 and full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels. The display also supports DCI-P3 color gamut, DC dimming which protects the eyes of its users from detrimental blue rays released by the screen.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-11.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-266573" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-11.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="600" height="399" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-11.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-11-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>The device is powered by an Hisilicon Kirin 980 chipset, Huawei&#8217;s first 7nm SoC. The chipset is mated with 8GB of RAM and there is 256GB of storage onboard. Despite the massive storage, you can still ramp up the storage to an extra 256GB using the hybrid SIM slot. The 5G phone runs EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9.0 but expect the phone to be among the first to get Android Q update whenever it is available. The phone also comes with Game Turbo 3.0.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-15.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-266577" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-15.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Mate 20X 5G" width="600" height="399" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-15.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-20x-15-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>The camera setup is similar to the regular Mate 20X and it includes a 24MP selfie camera up front. At the rear, you get a triple camera setup in a square-shaped camera module. The main camera is a 48MP sensor, teaming up with an 8MP telephoto sensor and a 20MP ultrawide lens. Other features on the Huawei Mate 20X 5G include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, USB-C. But there is no 3.5mm headphone jack.</p>
