Ahead of the launch the company has already adjusted the price tag of the presently Mate 30 series that was released in the second half of 2019 by 500 yuan.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/mate-30.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-308036" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/mate-30.jpg?x23692" alt="Huawei Mate 30 " width="600" height="369" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/mate-30.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/mate-30-300x185.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/mate-30-356x220.jpg 356w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>Consequently, the Mate 30 5G (8GB+128GB) is now on offer on Huawei&#8217;s flagship store on Jingdong for 4499 yuan ($646) and 4999 yuan (~$718) for the 8GB+256GB version. This is down from the launch prices of 4999 yuan (~$718) price and 5499 yuan (~$789) respectively. This is coming just a couple of weeks after the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/01/30/huawei-mate-30-pro-8128-gets-a-price-cut-ahead-of-p40s-launch/"> Mate 30 Pro (8GB+128GB) equally got a price slash</a>.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/mate-30-2.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-308037" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/mate-30-2.jpg?x23692" alt="" width="600" height="363" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/mate-30-2.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/mate-30-2-300x182.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>The Mate 30 5G is one of Huawei&#8217;s first 5G flagships that went on sale, alongside the Mate 30 Pro 5Git is the second generation 5G mobile phone. The model is the second -generation 5G model from Huawei after the Mate X 5G was released last year with a 5G modem onboard. This second-generation model packs a Kirin 990 SoC as well as integrates a Balong 5000 5G modem. The 5G chipset onboard the Mate 30 supports dual-mode SA and NSA bands. The new SoC also offers better power management.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-5G-and-Huawei-Mate-30-5G-Pro.png?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-284360" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-5G-and-Huawei-Mate-30-5G-Pro.png?x23692" alt="" width="1505" height="750" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-5G-and-Huawei-Mate-30-5G-Pro.png 1505w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-5G-and-Huawei-Mate-30-5G-Pro-300x150.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-5G-and-Huawei-Mate-30-5G-Pro-768x383.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-5G-and-Huawei-Mate-30-5G-Pro-1024x510.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-5G-and-Huawei-Mate-30-5G-Pro-324x160.png 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-5G-and-Huawei-Mate-30-5G-Pro-696x347.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-5G-and-Huawei-Mate-30-5G-Pro-1068x532.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-5G-and-Huawei-Mate-30-5G-Pro-843x420.png 843w" sizes="(max-width: 1505px) 100vw, 1505px" /></a></p>
<p>It is common practice for OEMs to slightly adjust the prices of their current models when a new smartphone is about launching in the same price category. We, thus, expect the P40 series to adopt a price tag similar to what the Mate 30 was launched with.</p>

The pricing for the models was even revealed to start at 799 Euro. However, hopes of the models getting released in Europe were dashed when Google officially announced that newer Huawei models can no longer come pre-installed with Google Services. Coupled with the fact that Huawei didn’t announce a release itinerary for the models, there were speculations that the tech giant may have put off the European release.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-19.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-282416" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-19.jpg?x23692" alt="" width="2565" height="1440" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-19.jpg 2565w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-19-300x168.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-19-768x431.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-19-1024x575.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-19-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-19-1068x600.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-19-748x420.jpg 748w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-19-1920x1078.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 2565px) 100vw, 2565px" /></a></p>
<p>In a new twist posted by Tech Garage, the blog quotes sources based in China and conversant with the runnings at the company to have hinted that the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro would be launched in Europe starting Mid-November, possibly on November 15th. The sources didn’t disclose the exact countries where the model will first be released but hinted that the schedule would follow the pattern Huawei had always employed in the past, that is countries like Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Great Britain and Switzerland may be among the first to see the device on store shelves.</p>

We don’t know if the Mate X will equally be announced during the speculated November event. With the absence of Google Services, we are not too sure how the Mate 30 series will perform in the European market. What the device lacks in official Google Services, it makes up for those in powerful hardware and sleek design. There are <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/10/07/huawei-mate-30-pro-google-apps-workaround-working-fine/">a few workaround that allows users to install Google Services in the device</a>, though, but some may not find that a good thing to do for such expensive phones.</p>
