During this event, it will be launching a number of new products, like smartphones, tablets, and notebooks. But prior to this event, the company has announced the new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei-matebook-d-15-ryzen-edition/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">MateBook D 15 Ryzen Edition</a> (2022). So let&#8217;s have a look.</p>
<p>The new MateBook D 15 Ryzen Edition from the Chinese tech giant sports a 15.6 inch display that has a 1080p (FHD) resolution and offers 100 percent sRGB color gamut. It measures 16.9mm in thickness and weighs just 1.6 kilograms. The new notebook is powered by a 56Whr battery pack and it also supports the company&#8217;s latest HyperTerminal function. Furthermore, the computer can run up to 3 mobile application windows as well, which helps users multi task.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-433066 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Huawei-MateBook-D-2022.png?x10805" alt="Huawei MateBook D 2022 Model" width="1322" height="1044" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Huawei-MateBook-D-2022.png 1322w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Huawei-MateBook-D-2022-300x237.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Huawei-MateBook-D-2022-768x606.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Huawei-MateBook-D-2022-1024x809.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Huawei-MateBook-D-2022-696x550.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Huawei-MateBook-D-2022-1068x843.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Huawei-MateBook-D-2022-532x420.png 532w" sizes="(max-width: 1322px) 100vw, 1322px" /></p>
<p>In other words, it is quite practical for business professionals. As the name suggests, the latest MateBook D 15 is powered by an AMD Ryzen processor, the Ryzen 5 5500U. This chip features Team Red&#8217;s Zen2 architecture and offers 6 cores and 12 threads. It has a base clock sped of 2.1GHz and a boost clock speed of 4.0GHz, and is paired with the Vega7 for graphics. For memory, it houses 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. At the moment, the laptop is currently available for bookings, with pre-orders beginning on 27th February 2022 for a starting price of 4,599 Yuan (roughly 726 US Dollars).</p>

The Huawei Matebook D 14 and Matebook D 15 are different from their respective<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/23/huawei-matebook-d14-d15-2021-launch-11th-gen-intel/"> predecessors</a> mainly through their CPUs, which will offer better performance and greater power efficiency for the devices. The screen sizes, battery power, form factor, and other key features and metrics remain the same for the models from their predecessors.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/S566a8c8a-0d10-4fc3-bb14-316ff83b89d7.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-361650" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/S566a8c8a-0d10-4fc3-bb14-316ff83b89d7.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei" width="600" height="300" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/S566a8c8a-0d10-4fc3-bb14-316ff83b89d7.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/S566a8c8a-0d10-4fc3-bb14-316ff83b89d7-300x150.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As we have stated, the AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 chipset in the new laptops is the main point of the upgrade. Both devices will have a RAM of 16GB and an internal storage capacity of 512GB. The battery capacity remains the same at 56Wh and 65W fast charging capability. There are some differences between both devices, with the D 14 model having a smaller 14” screen, compared with the 15” screen for the D 15. There are different input ports in the device, including USB Type-C, 2.0 and 3.2, HDMI, and one audio jack. The front-facing camera in both the Matebook D 14 and D 15 is hidden within the keyboard and pops up whenever the button is pressed. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/huawei-matebook-d.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-391927" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/huawei-matebook-d.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Matebook D 14" width="1200" height="921" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/huawei-matebook-d.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/huawei-matebook-d-300x230.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/huawei-matebook-d-768x589.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/huawei-matebook-d-1024x786.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/huawei-matebook-d-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/huawei-matebook-d-696x534.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/huawei-matebook-d-1068x820.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/huawei-matebook-d-547x420.jpg 547w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></a></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The AMD Ryzen 7 chip is more powerful than the Ryzen 5 and packs much power into the performance of the devices. Both model variants have a Radeon Vega GPU. In terms of performance metrics and speed, the Ryzen 5 has six cores and could attain a maximum rate of 4.0GHz, while the Ryzen 7 has 8 CPU cores, reaching a maximum of 4.4 GHz.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Both the Matebook D 14 and D 15 will be released on June 1. We expect the new laptops to be a bit more pricey than their predecessors. They will be available in Silver and Deep Space Gray colour options.</span></p>
