The company has sent out launch invites to some media houses. The one sent to <a href="https://www.ithome.com/0/502/981.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">IT home</a> seems to have drawn inspiration from the laptop itself.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-mateboo-x-featured.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-336688" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-mateboo-x-featured.png?x44794" alt="Huawei Matebook X" width="669" height="551" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-mateboo-x-featured.png 669w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-mateboo-x-featured-300x247.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-mateboo-x-featured-510x420.png 510w" sizes="(max-width: 669px) 100vw, 669px" /></a></p>
<p>The invitation is a booklet designed like a Notebook PC. This is no doubt a reflection of design the laptop will adopt, which is a thin and light build, no bigger than the size of an A4 paper. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-2.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-336683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-2.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="1440" height="969" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-2.jpg 1440w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-2-300x202.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-2-768x517.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-2-1024x689.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-2-696x468.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-2-1068x719.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-2-624x420.jpg 624w" sizes="(max-width: 1440px) 100vw, 1440px" /></a></p>
<p>The teaser poster of the MateBook X inside the launch invite equally contains a render of the laptop, confirming a thin and light build. The teaser poster also shows the device will utilise the faster USB-C port. It is also shown to have a 3.5mm headphone jack.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-25.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-336686" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-25.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="1440" height="997" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-25.jpg 1440w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-25-300x208.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-25-768x532.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-25-1024x709.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-25-100x70.jpg 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-25-218x150.jpg 218w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-25-696x482.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-25-1068x739.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/huawei-matebook-x-25-607x420.jpg 607w" sizes="(max-width: 1440px) 100vw, 1440px" /></a></p>
<p>The hardware configuration of the MateBook X has not been released by Huawei but we expect it to come with a top of the pack specs. We&#8217;ll have to wait until the launch date to find out more details.</p>
