Huawei has released its latest notebook packed with performance enhancements. The Matebook X Pro is the first notebook ever to support AI minutes. It has a 3K 90Hz screen and is powered by a 12th gen core processor. The Super Turbo technology in the new MateBook X Pro gives it a huge performance boost.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro packs a 14.2-inch screen that delivers content with a resolution of 3,120 x 2080 pixels and a 90Hz display refresh rate. It supports 10-point touch, P3, and sRGB color gamuts. It uses optical coating to minimize glare and reflections.

The Super Turbo function enables the new laptop to perform intelligent system optimization by identifying different application scenarios. The Super Turbo functionality enables the notebook to optimize power consumption and deliver higher energy/ performance efficiency.

The MateBook X Pro has a magnesium alloy exterior and weighs just 1.26kg. Its processor comes with up to 12 cores and 16 threads. It has EVO certification and is capable of 30W performance. Dual fans and a VC soaking plate provide sufficient heat management for the MateBook X Pro, in addition to three air inlets.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro has four microphones and six speakers for intelligent voice input. Huawei says it is the first notebook model in the world to have this feature. The new Huawei notebook will be available in two colors namely brocade white and dark blue. The price and availability details of the new MateBook X Pro remain under wraps at this time.

Huawei unveils the Matebook X Pro 2022 & Matebook E for the global market

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 holding in Barcelona, Spain from Monday, February 28 has seen some big announcements already. Huawei joined the group of brands with a pre-MWC release by announcing two new Windows 11 laptops – the Matebook X Pro 2022 and Matebook E. The Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 is an ultraportable flagship laptop while the Matebook E is a compact 2-in-1 model running on Windows 11.

The new Huawei MateBook X Pro 22 laptop is equipped with a bigger 14.2-inch screen which is slightly bigger than the 13.9-inch screen on the MateBook X Pro 2021. The laptop features a narrow frame design with a high 92.5% screen-to-body ratio. The display also has a resolution of 3120 X 2080 pixels with support for a 90Hz refresh rate, 500nit brightness, and a P3 wide color gamut.

According to Huawei, this notebook uses the 3D Lut professional color calibration scheme, TÜV Rheinland’s professional two-color gamut color standard certification, and the color difference Delta E is less than 1. The MateBook X Pro is equipped with the Intel Core i5-1155G7 and i7-1195G7 processors with 16GB RAM and 512GB/1TB storage options.

The MateBook E is a Windows 11 tablet that can function as a laptop via its bundled keyboard case. The Matebook E has a 12.6-inch OLED with 2560 x 1600px resolution. It has. an 8MP front-facing camera and a 13MP rear camera. The MateBook E is just 7.9mm thick and weighs 709 grams.

The Huawei Matebook E 2-in-1 is priced from €649 ($732) for an Intel i3 option with 8GB+128GB memory while the Core i5 option with 8GB+256 GB is €999 ($1,126). The 16GB+512GB versions come bundled with a Smart Magnetic Keyboard for €1,199 ($1,261) for an Intel Core i5 processor or €1,399 ($1,577) for the Intel Core i7 processor.

Earlier this year, Huawei launched the MateBook X Pro 2021 notebook with an impressive specs lineup including an Intel Coore i7 chipset. The company has now launched a new MateBook X Pro version with further improvement from its predecessor.

The new Huawei MateBook X Pro model is equipped with a bigger 14.2-inch screen which is slightly bigger than the 13.9-inch screen on the MateBook X Pro 2021. The laptop features a narrow frame design with a high 92.5% screen-to-body ratio. The display also has a resolution of 3120 X 2080 pixels with support for a 90Hz refresh rate, 500nit brightness, and a P3 wide color gamut. The notebook is equipped with the Intel Core i5-1155G7 and i7-1195G7 processors with 16GB RAM and 512GB/1TB storage options. The new MateBook X Pro is available in Silver, Space Gray, and Emerald colors. It weighs 1.38kg and is 15.5mm thick at its thickest point.

The new MateBook X Pro features some improvements in the design of its internals as it comes with dual fans, three air inlets design, and ultra-thin air-cooled VC, which improves heat dissipation performance by 100% compared to its predecessor. The laptop also comes with support for 30W charging speed which is double what obtains on the MateBook X Pro 2021.

Furthermore, the new MateBook X Pro uses a pressure trackpad, supports a variety of convenient gestures, and can be operated with air gestures. It is also equipped with Huawei Sound 6 speakers. The notebook also ships with a 90W GaN charger.

In terms of the pricing, the new MateBook X Pro Core i5/16GB/512GB version is priced at 9,499 yuan (~$1,490) while the Core i7/16GB/512GB is priced at 10,499 yuan (~$1,647). Finally, the Core i7+16GB+1TB is priced at 12,499 yuan (~$1,961). The notebook is already on pre-sale and will go on sale for the first time on January 6.
