Huawei has launched the MatePad 12 X 2025 in Germany at €649 (~$722). The tablet, introduced globally in September, is available in Greenery and White.

Customers who buy it from Huawei’s website or the Berlin flagship store before November 4 will get a free NearLink mouse, a Huawei M-Pencil Pro, a three-year manufacturer’s warranty, and a 12-month screen warranty extension.

The MatePad 12 X 2025 is the global version of the MatePad Air that launched in China earlier this year. It has an all-metal design, is 5.9mm thick, and weighs 555 grams. The tablet features a 12-inch LCD screen with 2.8K resolution, up to 144Hz refresh rate with VRR support, 1000 nits of peak brightness, and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. A PaperMatte version is also available for a glare-free viewing experience.

It runs on HarmonyOS 4.3 and comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The device includes WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.2 with BLE, and a USB 3.1 port. It has a six-speaker setup for improved sound.

Huawei has added an advanced cooling system using PCBA-level 3D dispensing and a 3D vapor cooling chamber, which the company says improves performance by 27 percent. Power comes from a 10,100mAh battery that supports 66W wired fast charging.

The brand claims that this allows the tablet to offer a 27 percent high performance. Powering this tablet is a sizeable 10,100mAh battery pack, which supports 66W wired fast charging. Huawei has recently launched two new tablets, the MatePad Pro 12.2 and MatePad 12 X (2024 models), both featuring 12-inch displays. The brand has now started selling the tablets in the UK and European markets.

Huawei has adopted an aggressive pricing strategy for the MatePad Pro models in Europe and the UK, offering the MatePad Pro 12.2 (OLED display) for £699.99 in the UK and €999 in Europe. The MatePad 12X is available at £549.99 for UK customers, however, the brand has surprisingly hiked the price of the tablet in some EU markets. It is currently available on Amazon Germany for €748.

The MatePad Pro 12.2 features a sleek design, weighing 508 grams and measuring just 5.5 mm thick. It has a 12.2-inch Tandem OLED PaperMatte Display with a resolution of 2800 x 1840, a 144Hz refresh rate, 2000 nits peak brightness, and a 92% screen-to-body ratio. Supporting the P3 wide color gamut and ΔE < 1 color accuracy, it delivers vibrant, true-to-life colors.

The tablet offers up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.
