The company has so far launched a few smartphones and is now gearing up to launch another.</p>
<p>A new Hi Nova series smartphone has appeared in the listing from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, revealing some key details about the device. The phone is believed to be named Hi Nova 9 SE.</p>
<figure id="attachment_448540" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-448540" style="width: 987px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-448540 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE-.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Nova 9 SE" width="987" height="600" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE-.jpg 987w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE--300x182.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE--768x467.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE--696x423.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE--691x420.jpg 691w" sizes="(max-width: 987px) 100vw, 987px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-448540" class="wp-caption-text">Huawei Nova 9 SE</figcaption></figure>
<p>It has been revealed that the smartphone features a 6.7-inch <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/lcd">LCD display</a> that offers a screen resolution of 2388 x 1080 pixels screen resolution. Under the hood, the phone is said to be powered by an octa-core processor with a maximum frequency of 2.2GHz.</p>
<p>While the exact processor has not been revealed, it is likely to be the MediaTek Dimensity 700, which is different from the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm">Qualcomm</a> Snapdragon 680 that&#8217;s powering the Huawei Nova 9 SE smartphone.</p>
<p>The leak also reveals that the device is powered by a 3,900mAh battery and comes with support for 66W fast charging technology. With some differences, we expect the smartphone to be similar to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-nova-9-se/">Huawei Nova 9 SE</a>.</p>
<p>The Hi Nova 9 SE could come with a quad-camera setup that includes a 108-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth-of-field sensor. On the front side, there could be a 16-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.</p>
<p>As the smartphone is not produced by Huawei, it is unlikely to come running the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/harmonyos">HaarmonyOS</a>. Instead, the phone will be running the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android">Android</a> operating system with a custom user inter have from China Post.</p>

This comes following the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/03/08/huawei-nova-9-se-listed-on-the-official-website-ahead-of-launch-opens-for-pre-orders/">listing of the device on the company website</a>, which also contained a few images. But while those images were only renders, some digital bloggers today posted live images, giving us the clearest look at the device yet (via <a href="https://news.mydrivers.com/1/819/819473.htm">My Drivers</a>).</p>
<p>The rear design overall looks quite similar to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/06/16/honor-50-se-5g-cheaper-dimensity-900-powered-version-honor-50/">HONOR 50 SE</a>, especially the camera module, although there is now an extra lens. Leaked specifications show that the nova 9 SE will have a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth camera, and finally a 2MP macro lens.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-448305 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/huawei-nova-9-se-live-image-leak-1024x683.jpg?x10805" alt="huawei nova 9 se live image leak" width="696" height="464" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/huawei-nova-9-se-live-image-leak-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/huawei-nova-9-se-live-image-leak-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/huawei-nova-9-se-live-image-leak-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/huawei-nova-9-se-live-image-leak-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/huawei-nova-9-se-live-image-leak-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/huawei-nova-9-se-live-image-leak-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/huawei-nova-9-se-live-image-leak.jpg 1620w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>The back panel has an extremely reflective surface, with a design that makes it look like there are rays emanating from the camera island. Overall, the look is quite premium.</p>
<p>The display of the HUAWEI nova 9 SE has been revealed to be a 6.78-inch LCD panel with a 2388×1080 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. On the top-center, there is a punch-hole for the 16MP f/2.2 selfie camera.</p>
<p>Under the hood, there&#8217;s the Snapdragon 680 chip, which is based on a 6nm process. It uses a Kryo 265 CPU architecture with a maximum frequency of 2.4GHz and is assisted by the Adreno 610 GPU. The battery is sized 4000mAh with support for 66W fast charging.</p>
<p>Storage variants are two, namely 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB, and color options are black, white, and blue.</p>

                </div>

<p>The device features a design that is quite similar to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-nova-9/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Huawei Nova 9</a> which was released back in October 2021. However, one of the key differences can be spotted in the camera module which does not feature three lenses in the lower circular enclosure. This time around, Huawei has also placed the LED flash between the two big camera lenses.</p>
<p>Coming to its specs, the code name &#8220;Julian&#8221; (JLN-Lxx) smartphone will come with a 6.78-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 2388&#215;1080 pixels. The screen will have a center punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and will come with thin bezzles and a narrow chin.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-446830 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE-1646222646-0-12.png?x10805" alt="Huawei Nova 9 SE" width="660" height="609" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE-1646222646-0-12.png 660w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE-1646222646-0-12-300x277.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE-1646222646-0-12-455x420.png 455w" sizes="(max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px" /></p>
<p>For photography, the Huawei Nova 9 SE is said to feature a quad-camera setup with an impressive 108-megapixel camera which will be the first triple-digit megapixel camera on a Huawei smartphone. The smartphone is also said to get an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a couple of 2-megapixel sensors which could be for depth effects and macro shots. On the front, the device is said to come with a 16-megapixel selfie snapper.</p>
<p>Under the hood, the device is rumored to have a Qualcomm<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Snapdragon-665/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"> Snapdragon 665</a> octa-core SoC which means it won&#8217;t offer 5G support. The SoC is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Huawei Nova 9 SE will come with a 4000mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. Other than that, it will feature NFC support, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security, and will run the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/EMUI/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">EMUI 12</a> in on the Global version and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/HarmonyOS/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">HarmonyOS</a> in China.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/vivo-t1-pro-5g">Vivo T1 Pro 5G&#8217;s</a> specs are unknown at the moment but it is expected to offer great specs at an affordable price. Just like the T1 5G, the T1 Pro 5G will also be an online exclusive smartphone. We can expect the device to bring a better display over the T1, an upgraded chipset, and a faster-charging speed.</p>
<p><strong>11. Micromax In 2, In 2C</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/micromax">Micromax</a> is expected to launch new smartphones this month. The company may launch the In 2 and In 2C by late March. The Micromax In 2 is rumored to come with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ resolution. It is expected to come with a 48MP triple camera system and an 8MP selfie snapper. It could come with a big 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.</p>

<p>On the other hand, the In 2C was spotted in leaks and it has the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/unisoc">UNISOC</a> T610 SoC. It will be an entry-level smartphone and is likely to come under Rs. 10,000(~$133) in India.</p>

<p>The HUAWEI nova 9 SE <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/02/11/huawei-nova-9-se-receives-necessary-certifications-ahead-of-launch/">recently bagged certifications</a> from NBTC, EEC, and WiFi Alliance, meaning its launch is now imminent. It is thus extremely likely that the teaser videos show none other than this phone.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, these certifications had barely revealed anything about the device. The only bits disclosed were that it will run <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/EMUI/">EMUI</a> in international markets and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/HarmonyOS/">HarmonyOS</a> in China and that it will offer dual-band WiFi connectivity.</p>
<p>Having said that, it&#8217;s possible that the HUAWEI nova 9 SE is nothing but a rebranded HONOR 50 SE, since the latter with model number JLN-AL00 had already appeared on TENAA in January.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Unfortunately, certifications do not say much about the handset. They have only revealed a couple of things about the phone.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">First and foremost, it will boot Android. However, the version of Android is a mystery. <p><span style="font-weight: 400">Last but not least, the smartphone will measure 164.64 × 75.55 × 7.94mm in dimensions, weigh 191g, and arrive in three colors (blue, black, white).</span></p>
