Huawei is soon expected to launch a new phone called Huawei P Smart 2020, claims Winfuture.de. While it may sound like a new phone, it is an old device that sports a new design. By doing this, Huawei can launch the Huawei P Smart 2020 with Google Mobile Services (GMS).

Huawei P Smart 2020 specifications

The publication has revealed that the Huawei P Smart 2020 will be arriving with a 6.21-inch IPS LCD panel that has a waterdrop notch. It supports 1080 x 2340 pixels full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

The older Kirin 710F is present under the hood of the Huawei P Smart 2020. It comes with 4 Gb of RAM and 128 GB of storage. In comparison, the predecessor Huawei P Smart 2019 came with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of built-in storage. There is a microSD card slot onboard for additional storage.

The rear shell of the phone has a triple camera system. It consists of a 13-megapixel main lens with f/2.0 aperture, a 2-mgeapixel depth sensor and another 2-mgeapixel lens. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

The Huawei P Smart 2020 is backed by a 3,400mAh battery. There is no support for fast charging. A fingerprint reader is available on the rear shell of the phone. The usual connectivity features like dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack are available on the P Smart 2020. The Android 9 Pie OS with EMUI 9.1 and support for Google apps and services will come preloaded on the phone.

Huawei P Smart 2020 price and availability

The Huawei P Smart 2020 is expected to be priced between 200 and 220 euros. There is no word on its availability, but it may launch in the coming month. It will be available in colors like Aurora, Green and Black.

Fresh renders of an upcoming Huawei P Smart 2020 smartphone have surfaced. These renders seemingly belong to the AQM-AL00 / TL00 smartphone that was approved by China’s TENAA telecom authority in the previous month. It is expected to debut as rebadged version of the Honor 20 Lite smartphone that has recently gone official in China.

The Huawei P Smart 2020 renders show that the smartphone will be available in two color options such as green and white-blue color gradients. Its TENAA listing had revealed that it will be also available in black.

As it can be seen that the frontside of the phone features a waterdrop notch and its top edge has a 3.5mm audio jack. The back panel of the phone has a vertical camera strip that comprises of three lenses and an LED flash. There is no fingerprint scanner on back panel of the phone. Like the Honor 20 Lite, the P Smart 2020 feature an OLED display that is embedded with an in-screen fingerprint reader.

Huawei P Smart 2020 Specifications

According to the TENAA appearance of the phone, the AQM-AL00 / TL00 smartphone measures 157.4 x 73.2 x 7.75mm and weighs 163 grams. The device is fitted with an OLED panel of 6.3 inches. The waterdrop notch enabled display produces full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a tall aspect ratio of 20:9.

The Android 9 Pie OS runs on the device. It could be featuring the latest version of EMUI 9. The 2.2GHz octa-core processor which seems to be the Kirin 710F is present under the hood of the device. It may arrive in China in 6 GB and 8 GB RAM variants. It could be available in storage options such as 64 GB and 128 GB. There is microSD card slot on the phone for more storage.

The back panel has a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera system. The front notch of the phone is equipped with a 16-megapixel camera. It features a 4,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging.

The Huawei P Smart 2020 will be arriving as the successor of the Huawei P Smart 2019 which was made available in certain markets as Honor 10 Lite. Hence, the P Smart 2020 is said to be rebranded edition of the Honor 20 Lite. There is a possibility that the phone may go official by the end of this month.
