The next-generation P series flagships are rumored to get announced through a dedicated launch event in Europe in April. Around a week ago, reliable tipster Roland Quandt had revealed that the upcoming Huawei P20, P20 Plus and P20 Lite are respectively codenamed as Emily, Charlotte and Anne. Today, the leakster has managed to reveal information like dimensions and some specs through the FCC listing of the Anne handset.

According to FCC ID QISANE-LX1 listing, the Huawei P20 Lite has a model number of ANE-LX1. This very same smartphone was found benchmarked in the HTML5test in the previous month. It had revealed that the handset supports an aspect ratio of 19:9 and a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,280 pixels. This indicates that the P20 Lite is likely to arrive with an iPhone X-like notch. If the lower specced P20 Lite will be coming with such a design, it is very likely that the Huawei P20 and P20 Plus smartphones will be also sporting the same appearance.

The leaked information from the FCC listing of Huawei P20 Lite has revealed that the handset measures 148 x 70mm. The handset is a bit taller than the iPhone X that measures 143.6 x 70.9 mm. This suggests that the handset may feature a 6-inch display. The rear side of the smartphone features a vertically stacked triple camera setup certified by Leica. It has been also found that the handset is running on Android 8.0 Oreo and it is packed with a 2,900mAh battery with support for 18W charging. Other features that have been revealed through FCC listing are support for microSD card, dual-SIM and Wi-Fi 802.11n.

Huawei had recently showcased its advanced 3D facial recognition technology. Rumors suggest that the upcoming P20 series may feature 3D facial recognition like iPhone X. Hence, there is a possibility that P20 Lite and other P series may lack fingerprint scanner. The flagship P series phones are rumored to feature Kirin 970 chipset and 6 GB of RAM.

As mentioned above, Huawei are unlikely to unveil any new smartphones at MWC 2018. However, the Chinese firm is expected to announce other devices like Huawei MediaPad 5 (2018).

But this does not mean that the Chinese leader in the smartphones market will not attend the most important trade show of the year related to mobile devices. According to a new official post published on the microblogging platform Weibo, the company will be present at MWC 2018 in Barcelona and it will unveil new products as well.

The most reliable hypotheses suggest that Huawei might launch a new tablet. The Chinese giant is one of the leading companies in the tablets market, and several leaks about the MediaPad M5 surfaced in the past few days. It was recently spotted on Geekbench with an octa-core Kirin 960 SoC (the same as Huawei P10), 4 GB of RAM and Android Oreo installed. It is expected to sport a 8.4-inch panel with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and LTE connectivity thanks to a Cat. 4 LTE modem and, obviously, a SIM Card slot.

The company might also decide to announce a new payment system for Europe: Huawei Pay. According to other rumors, we may see the Huawei Watch 3, the successor of the Watch 2, with Android Wear 2.0. A new patent has been just filed at WIPO, and it is related to a smartwatch able to track the movements of the finger outside of the display, allowing the user to write or draw gestures in the hair or on the back of the hand. Huawei may also decide to unveil new Windows tablets from the MateBook series, which would be direct competitors of the Microsoft Surface line composed of the Suface Pro, Surface Book 2 and Surface Laptop.

Which products do you think Huawei will unveil in Barcelona?

The flagship is enclosed in a cover, so we cannot see its entire design. But from these renders, we can notice important details of the handset. The most innovative feature that it is possible to see in these renders is the presence of a triple camera setup, which is placed in a vertical configuration. Under the cameras, there is a dual LED flash, while near the flash there seems to be a laser autofocus sensor. This is the second such triple camera case renders we are seeing in the past couple of days.

On the front side of the alleged Huawei P20, there is a borderless display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. On the upper part, there is a 3.5 mm audio jack, it seems that the company has decided not to ditch it like Apple did with its last generation iPhones. The case also shows that there is a charging port at the bottom and two holes on its side for the loudspeakers. We cannot see any fingerprint reader on the body of the phone, and this could mean that there might be an under display fingerprint scanner: the one launched by Synaptics.

It has been confirmed that Huawei P20 will not be showcased at MWC 2018 in Barcelona. There will be a dedicated event which will be held in Paris on March 27. The Huawei P20 should be released in at least three variants: Standard, Plus and Lite. According to a leak, there will be a pro version as well, which will sport an iPhone X-like notch on the display. Another line of thought soon emerged that since there is a possible clash of the launch event with that of the Galaxy S9 series, a new date might be chosen for its launch. It has now been confirmed by GSMArena that the flagship Huawei P11 which we still don’t know if it would be called P20, would not be unveiled at MWC 2018 but Huawei will hold a special event on March 27 where it would unveil the P11/P20. The details also include that the event would be held in Paris, France.

Huawei P11/P20 Concept Renders

The next-generation Huawei P-series is expected to be made up of three different models a P11/P20, and a bigger-sized P11/P20 Plus as well as a P11/P20 Lite. There is also rumors of a P11/ P20 Pro which would feature a display notch similar to that of the iPhone X with the 18:9 aspect ratio, That has also been talks of the flagship models utilizing three dual cameras but that could just be the figment of someone’s imagination. It just concept images we have seen about that anyway.

The upcoming models are also expected to arrive with a full-screen design similar to what Huawei did on the Mate 10 Pro. The models will equally be fueled by a Kirin 970 chipset which has AI capabilities. However, the Lite version may feature a different specs lineup. Huawei had made trademark applications for both the P20 moniker and later on P11. So, we’ll have to wait till it is officially unveiled to know the real name. We expect more details to be outed, though, before the March 27 launch date.

Fresh information suggests that Huawei and LG will not be launching their next-generation flagship phones at MWC 2018 to avoid clashing with Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+.

Previous reports have claimed that LG and Huawei would be respectively showcasing G7 and P11 (or P20) flagship phones at MWC 2018. However, instead of the LG G7, the South Korean company is expected to debut an advanced edition of the LG V30. As far as the launch of LG G7 is concerned, it is speculated to debut in March or April.

Huawei is also reportedly skipping the launch of its next-generation flagship at MWC 2018. Rumors have it that it will be holding a dedicated launch in Europe in April to announce the P11 series. At MWC 2018, Huawei is expected to announce tablets and 2-in-1 notebooks. Some other reasons that has reportedly delayed the arrival of P11 are internal and external challenges for selling Huawei phones in the U.S. market, stabilizing the supply and demand for chipsets and enhancing the quality of the triple camera setup.

At MWC 2017, Samsung had unveiled the Galaxy Tab S3, while LG had announced the LG G6 and Huawei had debut the P10 series. Market experts are of the view that Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will be the only major smartphones at MWC 2018 as other companies will want to avoid clashing of their flagship phones with the S9 duo.

Recent reports have revealed that the Galaxy S9 and S9 will be unveiled on Feb. 25 and it will be available in the home country in early March. The pre-orders of the Galaxy S9 duo are expected to start on March 1 and their shipments are likely to begin on March 16.

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be retaining the Infinity Display design from their predecessor models. The Snapdragon 845 chipset will be powering both the S9 models. Some markets are expected to receive the Exynos 9810 chipset variants. The Galaxy S9 is rumored to feature single rear camera of 12-megapixel whereas the S9+ will arriving with a pair of 12-megapixel cameras. The S9 and S9+ are rumored to respectively house 3,000mAh and 3,500mAh battery.

Then we see test pages for the Huawei P11 and Huawei P12 appear on the official website. And I’m sure someone must have asked Huawei to make up their mind. It doesn’t seem as if they have though.

Latest report says the Chinese-giant has trademarked the name “Huawei P11” in the US, UK, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Trademark for the “Huawei P11” name was filed as far back as 2015 in Europe though. The “Huawei P20” trademark was filed only in the States.

It is still unclear which of the names Huawei will use for its next flagship. There is a chance it may go under different names in various markets, so that may explain the multiple trademarks. However, since the P11 and P20 names were both filed in the states, that puts a hole in that explanation.

The rumor mill is yet to confirm whether the upcoming P series flagship will be called P11 or P20. It seems that the company is prepping up on the launch of its P series phone as the test pages of unreleased phones like P11 and P12 have appeared as placeholders on Huawei.com

The listings for the P11 and P12 contain specifications of the older Ascend Mate 7 smartphone. The test pages do not contain any information on the alleged Huawei P20 flagship phone. Rumors have it that the next P series flagship from Huawei has a model number of EML-AL00 and it wi++ll be supporting an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. The screen resolution of 1080 x 2444 pixels suggests that it may sport a notch like the one present on the iPhone X. It will be running on Android 8.0 Oreo.

It is rumored to be powered by HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset that is equipped with a dedicated AI chip. The SoC of the phone is likely to be coupled with up to 6 GB of RAM. It is expected to arrive with 3D facial recognition feature like the Face ID from Apple. It is also pegged to come with Leica branded 40-megapixel triple rear camera system with 5x hybrid zoom along with a 24-megapixel selfie camera. The upcoming P series phones is rumored to include four variants like Standard, Pro, Plus and Lite.

As mentioned above, there are conflicting rumors about the name of the forthcoming P series flagship. Since the MWC 2018 launch is more than a month away, the rumor is expected to reveal more information on the phone in the coming weeks.

The name of the device is still a contentious one, as it is said to go by the name P11, being the successor to the 2017 flagship Huawei P10. However, there is also a rumor that Huawei would change the naming order by adopting P20 as the new name and it will be launched alongside the Huawei P20 Plus. Now, an online retailer has listed the screen protector for the Plus version of the 2018 P-series flagship for sale on Amazon. The listing which appeared on Amazon France utilizes both names (P11/ P20 Plus) in contention, a move which could be seen as a tactical approach by the retailer who seems to be as confused as we are concerning the nomenclature.

The name isn’t the real issue concerning the listing but the design. The attached picture contains the render of the supposed Huawei P20 Plus/P11 Plus and the design is a full-screen, bezel-less design. The device is entirely bezel-less save for a slight notch at the top where the front speaker is located. The notch resembles the design style adopted by Apple on the iPhone X. However, while the P20 could come with a notch, we don’t expect a completely bezel-less screen design as suggested by the render.

The screen protector isn’t actually isn’t available right now but will arrive in stock on January 31, 2018. The price is set at €10.99 and this is after a €8 discount. According to a recent rumor, the P20 and P20 Plus are expected to be launched on February 26 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018.

We recently reported a disclosure from Israel which indicated that the next P-series model will be named P20. However, a fresh leak has emerged which rekindles rumours that the next-gen P-series model will be called P11.

The leaked details come in form the UAProf (User Agent Profile) data, the Huawei P11 will sport a Full HD display instead of the Full HD+ which has been the centre point of recent flagships and other full-screen models. This piece of detail is, however, not likely to be correct. Although the UAProf data is genuine, Huawei may have altered the correct figure for the aspect ratio in order to keep that element of surprise going. The company employed the same strategy on the Mate 10 Pro whose User Agent Profile data revealed it would have a Full HD (1080p) display but in the end, the device launched with an 18:9 Full HD+ screen.

The Huawei P11 will take over the reins from the P10 and P10Plus and as stated, there are talks of the device being named P20. The device is expected to come with thinner bezels than the P10. The device is expected to be powered by Huawei’s latest Kirin 970 AI chip and would run the latest EMUI 8.0 which is based on Android 8 Oreo. We expect more details of the next-gen P-series model to emerge as MWC 2018 approaches.

A new video from the YouTube channel concept creators recently tried to shed some light on the potential looks of the Huawei P11 flagship. The concept model, which the creator calls as the Huawei P11 X, tries to club some of the recent rumours along with some high-end features resulting into a good looking premium concept flagship smartphone.

The Huawei P11 X concept features round edges and an iPhone X like notch on top of the display. But this notch is significantly smaller than the Apple model. Apart from this notch, the phone adopts a full-screen design with little to no bezels going around the phone’s front.

From the video, the Huawei P11 X seems to be made out of metal and glass. There are four buttons on the right side of the phone: one textured power button, two volume buttons, and one dedicated camera button. These days, we don’t see a dedicated button for the camera, but it’s a good addition to the concept considering how the real Huawei P11 is expected to be a camera monster.

The back features a mirror-like finish along with three cameras on its left border arranged vertically. There’s dual LED flash and laser focus to assist the rear cameras. The front dual cameras are housed inside the small notch above the display. While a triple camera design is quite unusual in a smartphone, there’s a small possibility that the real phone packs three sensors at the back. Evan Blass had released a few advertisements for the Huawei PCE P11 series earlier in December which talked about the phone’s 40MP triple camera lens with 5X hybrid zoom. While this video is just a concept, now you know from where the triple lens design gets its inspiration.

Other features of the Huawei P11 X Concept phone are pretty standard: headphone jack, speakers at the bottom, and red and black color options.

Huawei had announced the P10 series flagship phones at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 event. Hence, it is speculated that Huawei P11 series will get official at MWC 2018 event that will be held between Feb. 26 to March 1 in Barcelona, Spain.

Well-known tipster Evan Blass has recently shared on his Twitter handle that the next P-series phones from Huawei will be an imaging powerhouse. It is speculated that its appearance will be quite different from the predecessor Huawei P10 phone. The alleged P11 is rumored to arrive with a bezel-less design as well as a notch that can be found on the iPhone X or Essential Phone.

XDA Developers has come across some firmware files for an upcoming Huawei flagship. One of the configuration files shows that the area surrounding the iPhone X-like notch portion as “RoundCornerDisplay.” It claims that there is another configuration file that specifically indicates the existence of a notch on the alleged P11.

It has been also found that through a configuration file that the smartphone features a 6.01-inch Samsung EA8074 CMD TFT LCD panel that carries support for Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. However, some other evidences indicate that it supports 2244 x 1080 pixels resolution. The publication claims that the alleged Huawei P11 could be having such a resolution because of the presence of a notch.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is expected to announce the Huawei P11 phone at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) event that will be held in February 2018. It is speculated that the P11 would be powered by the Kirin 970 chipset that fuels other flagship phones like Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and Honor V10. These phones feature EMUI 8.0.0, but the alleged Huawei P11 is running on Android 8.0 Oreo that is overlaid with a newer edition of EMUI 8.0.1. The handset also seems to support Huawei’s Easy Projection which indicates that it will also feature USB 3.1 port.

Both companies have released amazing devices that have helped propel them to the top of the list. In spite of the success, Huawei won’t be resting on its oars next year, as a new leak has revealed key info about the next gen P-series.

For the Huawei P11 series, the camera might just be the selling point since most of the other key features it will have are already present in the Mate 10 series and Honor V10 such as a full-screen display and the Kirin 970 processor.

Is the next Huawei P-series going to be an imaging powerhouse? A digital artist at one of the company's creative agencies added these "PCE Series" ads to their portfolio — claiming 40MP, 3 lens rear (5x hybrid zoom) + 24MP selfie, all Leica-co-developed. pic.twitter.com/t8w3VlL55L

According to an image posted by Evan Blass (@evleaks) on Twitter, the next gen Huawei P-series will come with Pro triple-lens Leica cameras with 40MP and 5x hybrid zoom. It will also have a 24MP Pro Selfie Camera with low light enhancement for clearer and sharper details.

Huawei will also be taking a focus at low-light imaging as the picture also mentions a Pro Night Mode. Using new sensors and optics, the cameras will be able to take in 100% more light for better night photos.

The cameras will also take advantage of the AI Camera Assist feature that helps with scene recognition, auto framing, and mode suggestions for the best results.

According to Evan Blass, the image was added to Huawei’s “PCE Series” portfolio by an artist from one of Huawei’s creative agencies. While there is no confirmation yet about the details, the info does look legit.

The Huawei P11 isn’t expected anytime soon, at least not this year, but we have a concept video which gives an idea of how the P11 may look like.

The video suggests the P11 will come with a titanium body which would be tougher and stronger than aluminum. The next-gen flagship will also come with a water resistant body and a full-screen display with a high screen to body ratio. The device is also listed as having an 18:9 aspect ratio. There is no physical home button but the device is said to come with an under-glass fingerprint sensor. The display is expected to be a QHD display and the P11 will come with a deca-core processor which from precedence, will be the Kirin 970 chip.
