As a makeshift solution, the company is refreshing its 2019 lineup. To this effect, the Huawei P30 Lite New Edition has just been silently launched and it features Google apps!

The new edition P30 Lite is a slight refresh of the P30 Lite which was first launched in early 2019. Design-wise, this new edition is entirely similar to the P30 Lite 2019 and even comes in the same colors: Midnight Black, Pearl White, Peacock Blue, and Breathing Crystal. The major differences between this New Edition and the old model are the RAM and internal storage configurations. Previously, the base variant of the P30 Lite had just 4GB of RAM, but the New Edition comes with 6GB. Likewise, the internal storage also got bumped up to 256GB from 128GB which was on both memory versions of the original P30 Lite.

Aside from these few differences, the new edition is similar to the original P30 Lite. As a reminder, the Huawei P30 Lite features a 6.15-inch IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch and full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2312 pixels. It is powered by a Hisilicon Kirin 710 SoC. There is a shared SIM slot on the device for adding a microSD card.

For photography, the P30 Lite packs a triple camera setup made up of a 24-megapixel selfie camera and a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (depth) triple rear cameras. The device packs a 3,340mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Huawei P30 Lite New Edition will be available in the United Kingdom starting on January 15, 2020. It comes with a price tag of £299 (~$389). We expect Huawei to release the device in other markets soon.

[envira-gallery id=”287847″]

According to Winfuture.de, the Honor 20S arriving in Europe is nothing like the one that launched in China in September. Instead, it can be called a rebranded Huawei P30 Lite.

The Honor 20S for Europe will soon launch in Russia and will have model number MAR-LX1H. The phone will come with a 6.15-inch FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch. Powering it is the Kirin 710 processor and not the Kirin 810. It should have 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage but Honor may change the configuration to differentiate it from the Huawei P30 Lite.

The phone will have triple rear cameras with a 48MP primary camera. The secondary cameras are not stated but it is reported that they too may be changed. The P30 Lite has an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP depth sensor. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and Huawei’s logo has been replaced with Honor’s at the bottom.

There is no news on the availability of the new color variant yet.

The Huawei P30 Lite was announced in March. It has a 6.15-inch display with a 1020 x 2312 resolution and a waterdrop notch at the top of the screen. It is powered by the Kirin 710 processor with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.

There is a fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone and a 3340mAh battery under the hood. It also has support for 18W fast charging.

The P30 Lite has an audio jack, a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, and an FM radio and NFC in certain markets. It runs EMUI 9.1 Pie based on Android Pie and is scheduled to get an update to EMUI 10 based on Android 10 in March 2020. When it launched early this year, it was available in Peacock Blue, Midnight Black, and Pearl White.

After making the Honor 9X series official, the Chinese giant announced the Nova 5i Pro which is supposed to hit the global market as the Mate 30 Lite. The cute handset has a lot of internal rivals this year, so many devices that it is worth comparing the most valid ones in order to clear your ideas in case you are looking for a new Huawei handset. So, we decided to compare the Nova 5i Pro with the latest mid-ranger from Huawei’s sub-brand which carries a similar price tag: the Honor 9X Pro. But given that this should be the Mate 30 Lite, we also decided to include the P30 Lite in the comparison, as it makes sense to include both the Mate and the P series since they are the most important Huawei line-ups. Below you can read our findings and our opinion about them.

Design

If you do not care about having the most compact dimensions, the perfect choice in terms of design is the Honor 9X Pro. There is really nothing better than its amazing pop-up camera and the attractive X pattern on its rear side, at least according to my tastes. Despite it comes with a punch-hole display, I do not like the Huawei Nova 5i Pro so much because of its anonymous rear side with a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. If you need a compact, thin and lightweight smartphone, then you should choose the Huawei P30 Lite as it is just 7.4 mm thin, it weighs just 159 grams and it is very small thanks to its 6.15-inch display.

Display

As I am usually a productivity user, I personally prefer wider displays, just like most of the users out there. That is why I would go for the Honor 9X Pro and its huge 6.59-inch screen. I even think that this device will offer better quality compared to the Huawei Nova 5i Pro, but I still can not test it thoroughly as I am waiting for it to go on sale. The Huawei P30 has a very nice display as well, but it is small: just 6.15 inches, so it is not comfortable for everyone. But if you usually are a one-handed user, then you will like it.

Specs & Software

Given that it is equipped with a lower-end and older chipset, Huawei P30 Lite loses this comparison. Huawei Nova 5i Pro and Honor 9X Pro are a lot better thanks to their amazing Kirin 810 SoC which was announced recently with a 7 nm production process. They even offer great memory configurations: up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. Performance apart, Honor 9X Pro is more suitable for advanced users due to its bigger screen, so I would go for it. Note that Huawei Nova 5i Pro and Honor 9X Pro ship with EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie, while Huawei P30 Lite comes with EMUI 9.0. But you can update it.

Camera

The Huawei Nova 5i Pro wins the camera comparison because it offers a more versatile rear camera department. It is equipped with a quad rear camera with a main 48 MP sensor, an ultrawide sensor, a 2 MP dedicated macro camera and even a depth sensor. Both Honor 9X Pro and Huawei P30 Lite have the same setup but they lack the dedicated macro camera. Last but not least, Huawei Nova 5i Pro has a better front camera with a higher 32 MP resolution.

Battery

The bigger batteries found on the Huawei Nova 5i Pro and Honor 9X Pro will make them last more than Huawei P30 Lite, and I believe that the Nova 5i Pro will last even more than Honor 9X Pro due to its smaller and more efficient display.

Price

€290/$325 starting price for both the Huawei Nova 5i Pro and Honor 9X Pro, while Huawei P30 Lite starts from €280/$312. Honor 9X Pro wins for its better design, wider display, the P30 Lite is inferior to both, while Huawei Nova 5i Pro comes with the best cameras.

The uncertainty among Huawei users over future updates and after-sales service is further deflecting the company’s reputation. Unfortunately, Huawei has hit another hurdle in Japan. Ymobile – SoftBank Corp’s low-cost mobile carrier has delayed the launch of Huawei P30 Lite, amid the US trade restrictions. To safeguard itself from any loss, the company needs time to assess the impact of the US trade ban. Hiroyuki Mizukami, Ymobile spokesperson said, “we are currently trying to confirm if our customers will be able to use the equipment with a sense of safety.”

Ymobile is unsure about the launch of Huawei P30 Pro. Similarly, another Japanese carrier – KDDI has held the handset sale since Wednesday. The spokeswoman of KDDI, Reiko Nakamura said: “We’re checking the facts on how (the US decision) was made and its impact.”

Whereas, Japan’s largest telecom operator, NTT Docomo is currently evaluating the situation and is supposed to hold reservations for the Huawei P30 Pro smartphone. The company cites they are “studying possibility of stopping the receiving of sales orders of HUAWEI P30 Pro that we are planning to release this summer.”

Last week the US president – Donald Trump blacklisted Huawei and terms it as posing “an unacceptable risk to the national security of the United States”. It barred all the US companies from supplying equipment and other services to Huawei. Google particularly banned Android support for Huawei devices, however, later it was delayed for 90 days. Various companies including ARM (Arm Holdings), Qualcomm and Intel terminated ties with Huawei.

Design

The design is undoubtedly the main focus of the Huawei P Smart Z. As said above, it is the first Huawei’s phone with a pop-up front camera, which allows the display to reach a screen-to-body ratio close to 100 percent without the need of a notch, neither a punch-hole display. A trend launched by Vivo with the NEX, and it is becoming one of the most used solutions to get rid of bezels around the display. Further, the Huawei P Smart Z comes with a very attractive Google Pixel-like back cover composed of two pieces of different colors. Huawei P30 Lite and Honor 20 Lite are still very beautiful with their waterdrop display and their stunning glass backs available in gradient hues, but Huawei P Smart Z is definitely more original and innovative.

Display

Even when it comes to the display, Huawei P Smart Z is my favorite one. It has a wider 6.59-inch panel which is more comfortable for multimedia and productivity, as well as high brightness, good viewing angles, and no notch. It is still a midrange-class panel, but it is definitely more interesting than Huawei P30 Lite and Honor 20 Lite. On the other hand, Huawei P30 Lite offers a smaller and more compact display (easy to use with one hand) with similar quality.

Specs & Software

Huawei P Smart Z is powered by the new Kirin 710F chipset, while Huawei P30 Lite and Honor 20 Lite are equipped with the Kirin 710. According to Huawei, these two processors offer the same performance but different packaging processes. So, what really makes the difference is the memory configuration. And under this point of view, Huawei P Smart Z loses the comparison. Indeed, Huawei P30 Lite and Honor 20 Lite (Chinese version only for the latter) come with up to 6 GB of RAM, while Huawei P Smart Z stops at 4 GB. In each case, you get Android Pie out of the box customized by EMUI.

Camera

Again, Huawei P Smart Z is the loser here. It has an average dual camera and it is far from being a true camera phone. In its most expensive variant, with its triple camera setup composed of a main 48 MP sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP depth sensor, Huawei P30 Lite wins the camera comparison. But if we consider front cameras, then Honor 20 Lite is better with its astonishing 32 MP selfie snapper.

Battery

Alongside its innovative design, the battery is the strongest point of the Huawei P Smart Z. It wins the battery life comparison thanks to a big 4000 mAh unit, while Huawei P30 Lite and Honor 20 Lite are equipped with average 3400 and 3350 mAh batteries.

Price

Honor 20 Lite costs €299/$335 in the global market (4/128 GB), Huawei P Smart Z costs €280/$315 (4/64 GB) and Huawei P30 Lite starts from €290/$325 (4/128 GB). Overall, Huawei P Smart Z looks better due to its big battery, bigger display, and more innovative design. But if you want higher-end cameras, then go for the Huawei P30 Lite.

The P30 Lite is currently the most famous one, but is it also the best Huawei mid-ranger you can buy? Let’s discover it together with an in-depth specs comparison.

Design

All of these phones come with stunning but also very similar bodies. They have wonderful glass backs as well as displays with an incredibly high screen-to-body ratio, thanks to their waterdrop notches. And the differences between them are very marginal. My favorite one is the Huawei P30 Lite because it offers a more compact and thinner body, so it is easier to use with one hand and to keep in a pocket. I think this is the most important thing when it comes to three phones with similar aesthetics.

Display

IPS panel are nothing impressive nowadays, given that AMOLED panels are the trend and they also offer more brilliant colors. These three devices all come with an average IPS panel, but the Huawei P Smart+ 2019 looks slightly better as it offers the more advanced LTPS technology. Both Honor 20 Lite and Huawei P Smart+ 2019 have the same display size and resolution, while the Huawei P30 Lite has a slightly smaller panel.

Specs & Software

Even if we talk about hardware, these handsets do not differ so much. All of them are powered by the midrange Kirin 710 chipset built at 12 nm with a max clock frequency of 2.2 GHz. It can handle almost every app with more than sufficient performances. What makes the difference are the memory configuration: Huawei P Smart+ 2019 is the weakest as it only comes with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The best one is the Huawei P30 Lite because it sports up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage in every variant.

Camera

Huawei P30 Lite is the best camera phone, but only in its most expensive variant. Indeed, in the costlier one, it has a main 48 MP sensor that enhances the level of detail captured in every light condition. Honor 20 Lite and Huawei P Smart+ 2019 have a 24 MP main sensor in each and every variant. Huawei P30 Lite and Honor 20 Lite are the best ones when it comes to selfie cameras as they both have a 32 MP snapper, while Huawei P Smart+ 2019 stops at just 8 MP.

Battery

The battery life of Huawei P30 Lite, P Smart+ 2019 and Honor 20 Lite is average. They all can reach one day on a single charge with moderate use, but they won’t go so farther than that. Huawei P Smart 2019 and Honor 20 Lite have a slightly longer battery life because they come with 50 mAh more than Huawei P30 Lite, but in most of the scenarios, it is not a noticeable difference. On the other hand, Huawei P30 Lite has a way faster charging technology with its 18W power.

Price

Honor 20 Lite is yet to hit the shelves, while Huawei P30 Lite and Huawei P Smart+ 2019 are already available with prices starting from €290/$325 and €350/$390 respectively. Overall, Huawei P30 Lite looks like a more interesting phone due to its better camera department (in the costlier variant), faster charging technology and a more compact design.

The latest one and also one of the most impressive ones is the Samsung Galaxy A60, which may become one of the most wanted devices in the upper midrange segment. But it has a lot of rivals in its price range. Among them, there are the new Nokia X71 and the Huawei P30 Lite, which have a high chance of cannibalizing each other’s sales. Through this specs comparison, you may be able to discover which one fits your needs

Design

A lot of people think that punch-hole displays are the future, as they do not need the hated notch, neither a complex slider mechanism to minimize the bezels around the display without getting rid of the front camera. And both Samsung Galaxy A60 and Nokia X71 come with impressive punch-hole displays. They are almost full borderless thanks to this solution, without needing a notch or a slider. Huawei P30 Lite has a classic waterdrop notch, so it is nothing so special. I mostly like the Samsung Galaxy A60 because of both its punch-hole front camera and its elegant gradient colors on the back, as well as a more compact design than Nokia X71.

Display

In each case you get a classic IPS LCD display, so do not expect big changes between the image quality. There will surely be minor differences in brightness, contrast, viewing angles etc, but probably they will not be very noticeable. There is just a slight difference even in the form factors and the dimensions of these displays. As said above, Samsung Galaxy A60 and Nokia X71 come with punch-hole displays as well as a similar diagonal. Huawei P30 Lite has a way smaller panel and a waterdrop notch, but it is also a more compact device, easier to use with one hand and to keep in a pocket.

Specs & Software

There is no challenge here, the Samsung Galaxy A60 is the winner. The Samsung’s midrange takes the performance award thanks to its powerful Snapdragon 675 chipset, that is more or less at the same level as the Snapdragon 710 (slightly better CPU, but inferior GPU). Nokia X71 and Huawei P30 Lite are not so different when it comes to the hardware side, but I personally prefer the Nokia X71 for its better GPU and Android One installed. However, we are not talking about relevant performance improvements in any case, especially because all of these devices come in the same memory configuration: 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

Camera

Here it will be a hard fight, and we can not give you a definitive opinion until we test the camera department of the Samsung Galaxy A60. Indeed, on the paper, the Galaxy A60 seems impressive with its 32 MP main sensor on the back, but the Nokia X71 may still be better with its even more impressive 48 MP camera, Carl Zeiss optics and the capability to record 4K videos. On the other hand, both Samsung Galaxy A60 and Huawei P30 Lite seem to sport a better front camera with a high 32 MP resolution. So, judging from the specs on the paper, Nokia X71 looks like the one which could offer more, with the Samsung Galaxy A60 right behind it.

Battery

Samsung Galaxy A60 and Nokia X71 come with the biggest battery thanks to a capacity of 3500 mAh. We still do not know which one will last more on a single charge, but given that Nokia X71 has the bloatware-free Android One, it might have longer battery life. However, we will be able to give a definitive verdict only after testing the software optimization.

Price

While Nokia X71 and Huawei P30 Lite debuted with a €290 price tag, Samsung Galaxy A60 costs €270. At the end of the day, the price does not make the difference, but on the paper, the better processor and the well-balanced specs of the Samsung Galaxy A60 do, at least in my opinion. However, some may prefer the faster and more constant updates of the Nokia X71, as well as its amazing rear cameras. Which one would you pick?

Design

When it comes to the look it is all about tastes, but I personally prefer the most innovative designs made with the best material. And that is why I would go for the Nokia X71. It is the first Nokia phone to come with a punch-hole display, something that Xiaomi still did not try. It boasts a glass back and a solid aluminum frame. But someone may prefer the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE due to its clean and reflective glass back, as it comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner and wonderful gradient colors. Even Huawei P30 Lite is all but an ugly phone with its amazing glass back and a high screen-to-body ratio. But the punch-hole display makes me go for the Nokia X71.

Display

While Nokia X71 provides the most gorgeous front panel thanks to the punch-hole display, the phone with the best display quality is definitely the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE. It is the only to boast a Super AMOLED panel made by Samsung which provides more vivid colors as well as deeper blacks. This display is even HDR-compliant, so it comes with outstanding color reproduction, especially in video contents. Nokia X71 and Huawei P30 Lite are more or less at the same level when it comes to the display quality, but the Huawei P30 Lite comes with a smaller display that may be less comfortable for productivity but it is also easier to use with one hand.

Specs & Software

Besides being the clear winner of this comparison, Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is also one of the most performing midrange smartphones in the whole market. It is equipped with the best midrange chipset by Qualcomm, which is also the best San Diego giant’s chipset if we exclude the 800 series. That is the reason why Xiaomi Mi 9 SE will be faster and smoother than Nokia X71 and Huawei P30 Lite in most of the scenarios, including gaming. I want to give the second place to the Nokia X71 because, even though the Snapdragon 660 chipset is more or less at the same level as the Kirin 710, it comes with a better GPU. Further, Nokia X71 comes with a stock Android version which is lighter than Huawei’s and Xiaomi’s customized user interfaces.

Camera

Unfortunately, we still did not test the impressive triple camera of the Nokia X71 equipped with Carl Zeiss lenses, but on the paper, Xiaomi Mi 9 SE seems to be a most convincing camera phone. It boasts a main 48 MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, a 13 MP ultrawide sensor and a telephoto lens for optical zoom. Nokia X71 is not so different as it comes with a similar setup but it has a lower resolution for the ultrawide lens, as well as a lower resolution for the front camera (16 MP vs 20 MP). Huawei P30 Lite may be a better phone for selfies given its whopping 32 MP front camera, but its rear camera should be inferior to both Xiaomi Mi 9 SE and Nokia X71.

Battery

With its bigger 3500 mAh battery, Nokia X71 should be able to last more. Huawei P30 Lite stops at the average capacity of 3340 mAh, while Xiaomi Mi 9 SE’s battery is definitely its weakest point with just 3070 mAh.

Price

Nokia X71 debuted in Taiwan with a price tag of about €350/$392, Huawei P30 Lite costs just €290/$325 globally and Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is available in China for about €300/$335. Overall, Xiaomi Mi 9 SE wins the comparison with a better display, a higher-end chipset and an amazing camera department.

While several people skip such devices, this does not mean they are not interesting smartphones or outdated handsets; that is just marketing. Indeed, they represent two of the most interesting mid-rangers out there in the €300 price range, just like the Samsung Galaxy A70. But which one should you go for? This comparison will clear your ideas.

Design

If you want the most stunning and futuristic design, do not hesitate and go for the Vivo S1. Despite it does not have a notch or a punch-hole display, this handset rocks an incredibly screen-to-body ratio, thanks to the selfie pop-up camera which is placed on a motorized mechanism. That is mainly what makes this phone incredibly innovative and flagship-like. Huawei P30 Lite and Samsung Galaxy A70 come with standard midrange-class designs consisting of a traditional waterdrop display and gradient colors.

Display

Samsung Galaxy A70 is one step forward when it comes to the display quality thanks to its Super AMOLED display. The display has always been an advantage for Samsung as the Korean giant produces AMOLED panels and it can integrate them on most of its devices without bearing high costs. Further, the Samsung Galaxy A70 comes with a taller 20:9 aspect ratio and a larger 6.7-inch diagonal, so it more suitable for multimedia uses. The second place goes to the great borderless display of the Vivo S1 which has narrow bezels but gets rid of notches thanks to the pop-up camera. And it comes with a satisfying 6.53-inch diagonal. Huawei P30 Lite is the most compact device of the trio but it also comes with the smallest display.

Specs & Software

If you had all of these devices, you would not find significative differences between their speed and performance. Even though they boast different chipsets, all of them are at the same level. I would go for the Samsung Galaxy A70 for a simple reason: it comes in a variant with more RAM: up to 8 GB. Further, it has a micro SD dedicated slot allowing to expand the internal storage without renouncing to the dual SIM slot. All the phones are based on Android Pie with a highly customized fork.

Camera

Even when it comes to the camera department, Samsung Galaxy A70 is a winner, at least on the paper. It sports an amazing 32 MP main sensor with a bright f/1.7 aperture, an 8 MP ultrawide lens and even a 5 MP depth sensor. Just in case it is not enough, on the back, there is a stunning 32 MP camera for selfies. You can find a front camera with the same resolution on the Huawei P30 Lite as well as a triple camera setup, but the main sensor and the depth sensor come with lower resolutions and less bright focal apertures.

Battery

The mammoth battery of the Samsung Galaxy A70 makes it a king even when it comes to battery life. The device rocks a huge 4500 mAh battery which is able to last more than two working days even with intensive use. Further, it has the fastest charging technology with a power of 25W.

Price

We still do not know how much Samsung Galaxy A70 will cost, while Huawei P30 Lite and Vivo S1 hitten the shelves with price tags of about €290 and €300 respectively. Coming to an end, Samsung Galaxy A70 looks like a definitely better device thanks to its great cameras and bigger battery, as well as a satisfying display and a better memory configuration.

Apart from other tech gadgets, no other phone was announced during the event. But barely 24 hours after the event, the Huawei P30 Lite has gone official in the Philippines and is now on pre-order. The Lite model has been a part of Huawei’s P series offering each year.

Huawei P30 Lite is a premium midrange smartphone with a sleek design and classy finish. It features the U-shaped (water drop) notch at the top of the display which houses the selfie camera. The device seems to have an all-glass body but it could be plastic, we can’t say for sure. The back adorns triple cameras anchored at the top left corner in a vertical arrangement.

The P30 Lite sports a 6.15-inch LCD screen with a Full HD+ resolution and tall 19.5:9 ratio. The phone is powered by what looks like the Kirin 710 chipset going by the listed CPU configuration of four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and four Cortex-A53 units clocked at 1.7 GHz. The SoC comes with the Mali-G51 GPU. It features 6GB of RAM while there is 128GB of storage but we can’t say if the storage is expandable.

On the camera end, the Huawei P30 Lite packs a 24MP main camera sensor which teams up with an 8MP Ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, Huawei tweaked things up by cramming a 32MP sensor on the notch for obviously stunning selfies and portraits. The device will run EMUI 9.0.1 based on Android Pie and a 3,340 mAh battery with 18W fast-charging will keep the lights on. The phone equally packs a USB-C port and 3.5 mm audio jack. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac standards, Bluetooth 4.2 but there’s no NFC.

The phone comes in White, Black, and Blue. It is presently available to pre-order from online stores Abenson and Shopee for PHP16,990 ($320/€290). It will be on pre-order until April 4 on Shopee when it will start shipping while Abenson will terminate its own on April 12 but will start shipping the model on April 10. Images of the phone on TENAA have revealed it will come with a triple rear camera setup. Now there is info that the base model will have plenty of storage.

According to Roland Quandt of Winfuture.de, the base model of the Huawei P30 Lite will have 128GB of storage, double that of its predecessor, the P20 Lite. But that’s not the best part.

tidbit: Huawei P30 Lite gets 128 GB base model, so 2x the memory for the same price as last year (369 Euro MSRP)

— Roland Quandt (@rquandt) March 5, 2019

Even with the double storage, the Huawei P30 Lite will sell for the same price as its predecessor. This means you get overall better specs for the same price as last year’s model which sold for €369 (~$417). No extra charges, no hidden fees. Sounds great, right?

The P30 Lite will have a 6.15-inch Dewdrop display and pack a 3240mAh battery. It is expected to be powered by the Kirin 710 processor but for that price, we wouldn’t mind a more powerful chipset from Qualcomm.

The Huawei P30 Lite has been spotted on TENAA and there are a few specs along with the certification. The phone has the model number MAR-TL00. Its display is 6.15-inches which is a tad bigger than the 5.84-inch display of the P20 Lite. Case renders already revealed the display has a waterdrop notch.

The P30 Lite measures 152.9 x 72.7 x 7.4 mm. While the height and width have changed, the P30 Lite is still the same thickness as its predecessor. Under the hood of the P30 Lite is a 3,240mAh battery.

The P20 Lite launched in China as the Nova 3e, so there is a chance the P30 Lite will launch as the Nova 4e in Huawei’s home country. It has been reported it has a triple camera setup and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and we expect it to launch with Android Pie out of the box.

A case maker named Spigen has also shared P30 Lite case renders. The new images corroborate that it will be sporting a waterdrop-style notch screen like the P30 and P30 Pro flagship phones. Also, it will be equipped with triple rear cameras.

The case renders reveal that the P30 Lite is equipped with a waterdrop notch enabled display. Rumors have it that it could be featuring an IPS LCD panel of 6 inches. Its flagship siblings such as P30 and P30 Pro are rumored to arrive OLED panels embedded with in-screen fingerprint reader.

There is a triple camera setup placed on the backside of the phone. Rumors have it that it will include a 20-megapixel main sensor, a 16-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel lens. An LED flash can be seen in between the last two sensors. A fingerprint scanner is also fitted on the rear of the P30 Lite. The smartphone is expected to carry support for fast charging since it is equipped with a USB-C port. Also, the bottom edge of the phone has a 3.5mm audio jack.

The rumor mill is yet to reveal the other specifications of the Huawei P30 Lite. However, the smartphone is expected to be fueled by the home-brewed Kirin 710 chipset that has been designed to power mid-range phones.

The launch of the Huawei P30 Lite seems to be close at hand since its model number MAR-AL00 has been approved by 3C authority in China. Its European variant with model number MAR-LX1M has bagged approval from EEC in Russia.
