Huawei’s new P60 series is near, with reports hinting at a launch sometime in March. The new lineup has been the subject of various leaks and rumors recently and it should include the standard P60 and higher-end P60 Pro. While we wait for an official announcement, some live images of the P60 Pro’s test device have surfaced online. Let’s have a look.

A tipster has shared the live image of the upcoming Huawei P60 Pro’s test device. The handset can be seen with a rectangular camera island that houses two large rings in the center. There are slightly curved sides with the volume and power button on the left. On the bottom, there’s a speaker grille and the USB-C port charging.

Notably, the design of the smartphone is different from what we’ve seen in previously leaked renders. We may get more details in the coming days. According to a recent report, the Huawei P60 Pro features a 6.6-inch OLED display that will offer a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1440p resolution. It will pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Under the hood, it may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC capped to 4G only.

The P60 Pro is reported to have a triple camera setup on the rear with a main 50MP Sony IMX888 camera. There may also be a 50MP ultrawide unit on the smartphone with a Sony IMX858 sensor. A 64MP telephoto shooter with OmniVision OV64B may also be present. The handset is said to boast LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It could come with an IP68 rating and run HarmonyOS 3.0 out of the box.

Huawei’s new P60 lineup is expected to arrive sometime in March. The series has been leaking a lot recently, with recent reports revealing its design and appearance. The new lineup is expected to include the standard P60 and higher-end P60 Pro. While we wait for an official announcement, the Pro phone’s detailed specifications have emerged online, suggesting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. Here are the details.

A Chinese leakster claims the upcoming Huawei P60 Pro will arrive with a 6.6-inch OLED display that will produce a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1440p resolution. Packing a 5,000mAh battery, the smartphone will support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 but it will be capped to 4G only.

The leakster corroborates that the P60 Pro will have a triple camera setup on the rear with a main 50MP Sony IMX888 camera. The 50MP ultrawide unit on the smartphone will feature the Sony IMX858 sensor while the 64MP telephoto shooter will have OmniVision OV64B. The handset could have LPDDR5X storage and UFS 4.0 storage. An IP68 rating and HarmonyOS 3.0 are also tipped.

Judging from the specs, the handset looks like a feature-packed flagship. But we are not sure how many consumers it will attract since the smartphone will not support 5G connectivity and Google services. P60 Pro’s pricing will likely determine its fate. A competitive price may attract some buyers.

While there’s no official confirmation from the brand about the P60 series’ launch, reports suggest it will debut in March. However, that’s likely China’s timeline. It could arrive on the international market later this year.
