<p>Huawei has officially launched the Huawei Vision Smart Screen 6 SE, a new smart TV aimed at delivering a premium viewing and connected home experience. The device went on sale on April 7 at 14:08 China time, with a starting price of 3899 Yuan (approximately $540 USD). It is available through Huawei Mall, authorized e-commerce platforms, and offline experience stores.</p>

<p>The Smart Screen 6 SE features a sixth-generation Super Mini LED LCD panel with 4K Ultra HD resolution. A key highlight is its 288Hz refresh rate, which ensures ultra-smooth motion, especially beneficial for fast-moving content and gaming. The display also offers a wide 178-degree viewing angle, along with improved brightness and contrast, with peak brightness increased by around 50% for more detailed visuals.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="834" height="753" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-43.png?x23692" alt="" class="wp-image-733602" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-43.png 834w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-43-300x271.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-43-768x693.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-43-696x628.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-43-465x420.png 465w" sizes="(max-width: 834px) 100vw, 834px" /></figure></div>

<p>Powering the device is Huawei’s self-developed Honghu chipset, built on a dual-core A73 and dual-core A53 architecture. It comes with 3GB RAM, expandable with an additional 1GB of virtual memory, and 64GB of internal storage. Huawei claims the new model delivers about 15% better responsiveness than its predecessor.</p>

<p>In terms of connectivity, the TV includes dual HDMI 2.1 ports, enabling support for high-bandwidth gaming and smooth 4K content playback. It runs on HarmonyOS, allowing seamless integration with Huawei’s ecosystem. The built-in AI camera supports video calls, home monitoring, and fitness tracking.</p>

<p>Additional features include AI-powered picture enhancement, eye protection mode, children mode, and cross-device interaction, making it a well-rounded smart TV available in 55, 65, 75, and 85-inch variants.</p>

<p>Yu Chengdong, the CEO of Consumer BG at Huawei, had initially mentioned an important launch event on 8th April back on 27th March. This was also shared by the President of Consumer BG, Zhihao as well on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website. According to the senior executives, the new expensive product is going to become a central product after its smartphone offerings.</p>

<p>In other words, Huawei is taking the launch very seriously. Even going as far as giving it importance almost as high as its popular smartphone lineup. Unfortunately, the company has not revealed any specifics or the name of this new product. However, going by what has been teased so far, it is most likely a new flagship series of smart TVs.</p>

Furthermore, the TV is said to house a custom designed chipset that will enable all f the various different smart functions it will offer and we are eagerly looking forward to it. The announcement for this event was shared on Weibo, the Chinese microblogging website, where new leaks have revealed certain details regarding the upcoming products that will be announced.</p>
<p>One of the products that are expected to be announced on 8th April includes the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei-smart-screen-x65/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Huawei X65 Smart Vision TV</a>. Now, a recent report online has revealed leaked image posters of the TV. According to the image, the X65 Smart Vision TV will feature a 24 megapixel AI assisted image sensor alongside an OLED display and a 14 speakers sound field system.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-315058 " src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/s_7ef89feca7eb4be9a0b6a9d3fa16c656.png?x23692" alt="Huawei" width="482" height="643" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/s_7ef89feca7eb4be9a0b6a9d3fa16c656.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/s_7ef89feca7eb4be9a0b6a9d3fa16c656-225x300.png 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/s_7ef89feca7eb4be9a0b6a9d3fa16c656-315x420.png 315w" sizes="(max-width: 482px) 100vw, 482px" /></p>
<p>Looking at the poster, a popup mechanism can be observed to rise from the TV&#8217;s body and will house the wide angle lens. Previously, Huawei had stated that the Smart Vision TV can be controlled without a remote or even voice control. This leaves the area of gestures to fill in the gaps. In other words, the Huawei X65 Smart Vision TV could support Air Gesture functionality.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>Editor&#8217;s Pick: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/04/06/huawei-to-launch-a-matebook-x-pro-2020-in-a-premium-emerald-green-color-on-april-8/">Huawei to launch Matebook X Pro 2020 in a premium Emerald Green Color on April 8</a></strong></h6>
<p>The gadget is touted to feature AI powered lens, so it doesn&#8217;t seem to far fetched to assume that gesture control is difficult. Unfortunately, this has yet to be officially confirmed. But it can be noted that the technology does exist since Huawei&#8217;s NPU AI can detect pupillary distance, bone, and joint recognition, face tracking recognition, and other functions as well.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-315059" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/s_037964c837794c36afe412640a48684d.png?x23692" alt="Huawei" width="484" height="610" /></p>
<p>In terms of other features, the X65 Smart Screen TV is said to arrive with HongMengOS (HarmonyOS) preinstalled alongside a well optimized adaptive OLED display. The 14 speaker system will replicate a complete sound field for a better immersive and audio experience. Although, take this report with a grain of salt and stay tuned for the 8th April 2020 launch event for official coverage.</p>

<p>The Huawei Vision Smart TV Premium Edition comes with a 65-inch display but the upgrade is in the addition of some new smart interaction features. One of the top features of the Huawei Vision is the AI smart eye auto-pop-up camera which the smart TV has. The camera can be used for multi-party video calls. The pop-up camera is a high-quality one.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-vision-smart-screen-pe-2.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-310887" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-vision-smart-screen-pe-2.jpg?x23692" alt="Huawei Vision Smart TV Premium Edition" width="945" height="532" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-vision-smart-screen-pe-2.jpg 945w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-vision-smart-screen-pe-2-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-vision-smart-screen-pe-2-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-vision-smart-screen-pe-2-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-vision-smart-screen-pe-2-746x420.jpg 746w" sizes="(max-width: 945px) 100vw, 945px" /></a></p>
<p>In addition, the Huawei Vision Smart Screen Premium Edition features a built-in AI fitness 2.0 function. When users use fitness functions, AI Smart Eye will recognize human bones and joints in real-time and provide actionable guidance. At the same time, parents can also turn on the adult monitoring function.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-vision-smart-screen-pe-4.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-310889" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-vision-smart-screen-pe-4.jpg?x23692" alt="" width="945" height="532" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-vision-smart-screen-pe-4.jpg 945w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-vision-smart-screen-pe-4-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-vision-smart-screen-pe-4-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-vision-smart-screen-pe-4-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-vision-smart-screen-pe-4-746x420.jpg 746w" sizes="(max-width: 945px) 100vw, 945px" /></a></p>

And the company confirmed today that it will add a new Enterprise-grade Smart Display to the lineup at its<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/02/17/huawei-will-announce-a-new-foldable-at-its-virtual-press-conference-in-barcelona-on-feb-24/"> Feb. 24 virtual press conference in Barcelona</a>, Spain. This move would put it in competition with the likes of Microsoft&#8217;s Surface Hub 2S Whiteboard for enterprise users.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/007oEHRRly1gc40wsm77lj30fn0rsgnv.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-306399 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/007oEHRRly1gc40wsm77lj30fn0rsgnv-e1582272586605.jpg?x23692" alt="Huawei Enterprise Smart Display " width="437" height="717" /></a></p>
<p>The company&#8217;s teaser video confirms some of the features on the device. First, the smart display will be portable as <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Huawei">Huawei</a> is offering a rollable stand for the display. This enterprise-grade Vision TV will focus on four core features: Team Ideas, Remote Collaboration, Smart Interaction, &amp; Enterprise Applications. So this means the smart display will offer features like teleconferencing between teams and probably touch screen interactions too. The display will be powered by the company&#8217;s own <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Harmonyos">HarmonyOS</a>, the same platform that runs on its other consumer-grade Vision TVs in China.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/85497a59ly1gc3yd0or6nj20k80drab4.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-306398 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/85497a59ly1gc3yd0or6nj20k80drab4-e1582272445964.jpg?x23692" alt="Huawei enterprise Smart TV collab" width="440" height="268" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/85497a59ly1gc3yd0or6nj20k80drab4-e1582272445964.jpg 440w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/85497a59ly1gc3yd0or6nj20k80drab4-e1582272445964-300x183.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px" /></a></p>
<p>In the teaser video, Huawei also confirms seamless collaboration between laptops and mobile devices. Given that this is an enterprise-grade solution, we may expect support for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/5g">5G</a> too. However, it&#8217;s yet to be confirmed. The video also confirms a camera on board, which is also found on its consumer-grade Vision TV models in China.</p>

<p>The JD product page includes a timetable of the product release including the launch date. From the page, we can grab that Huawei will hold a global launch conference on September 19 where the TV dubbed Huawei Smart Screen will be unveiled. According to an official poster released by Huawei on <a href="https://www.weibo.com/2557129567/I66x78XLV?reason=&amp;retcode=&amp;type=comment#_rnd1568039634208" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Weibo</a>, the launch event will hold in Munich, Germany. The smart TV will go on pre-order on September 20 but the release date wasn&#8217;t stated. The part that was supposed to contain the date contains the words &#8220;Stay tuned&#8221;. However, we expect the device to go on sale in no distant time after the launch.</p>
<p style="text-align: center"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000">EDITOR&#8217;S PICK:</span> <a title="Huawei’s Global Product Manager says HarmonyOS is coming to watches, laptops" href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/09/04/huaweis-global-product-manager-says-harmonyos-is-coming-to-watches-laptops/" rel="bookmark">Huawei’s Global Product Manager says HarmonyOS is coming to watches, laptops</a></strong></p>
<p>The new smart device will become the second device from Huawei to feature Harmony OS after the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/08/10/honor-smart-screen-and-smart-screen-pro-officially-launched/">Honor Smart Screen</a> that was launched packing The new OS. Little is known about the Huawei Smart Screen but it was recently certified at China’s <span class="notranslate">National Quality Certification Center. The certification page shows the smart TV will have a 55-inch model and a 65-inch model, and both are from <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/profile/company/0389162D:CH" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>Hefei BOE Video Technology Co., Ltd,</strong></a> one of China’s leading LCD makers. Huawei&#8217;s CEO Richard Yu later disclosed that there is also a 75-inch model. </span>The new smart device is also expected to feature a pop-up camera, AI technology, powerful sound systems, cloud services and others, in addition to the new operating system. It will equally become a new control centre for Huawei&#8217;s Internet of Things (IoT), providing artificial intelligence-powered interactive user experiences.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/huawei-tv.png?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-275155" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/huawei-tv.png?x23692" alt="Huawei Smart Screen" width="751" height="426" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/huawei-tv.png 751w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/huawei-tv-300x170.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/huawei-tv-696x395.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/huawei-tv-740x420.png 740w" sizes="(max-width: 751px) 100vw, 751px" /></a></p>
<p>The launch of the smart TV, which is expected to ship globally, is a superb opportunity for the Chinese tech giant to showcase the capabilities of Harmony OS. This has become even more imperative considering that the company is positioning the OS as an alternative to Android OS on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/09/09/huawei-p40-harmonyos/">Huawei P40 next year</a> if it remains on the US government blacklist and unable to access Google&#8217;s Android service. The self-developed OS is also <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/09/04/huaweis-global-product-manager-says-harmonyos-is-coming-to-watches-laptops/">expected to find its way to Huawei smartwatches and laptops</a> in the near future.</p>
