However, even though the company had to shed some businesses, it has continued to blossom in other areas. <span style="font-weight: 400">The release today of the Huawei Sound X <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/smart-speaker">smart speaker</a> reflects the rapid expansion of the Chinese tech powerhouse. The speaker will be powered by Huawei&#8217;s HarmonyOS 2, the brand&#8217;s self-developed operating system.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-402849" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021.png?x10805" alt="Huawei Sound X smart Speaker" width="887" height="515" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021.png 887w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-300x174.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-768x446.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-696x404.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-723x420.png 723w" sizes="(max-width: 887px) 100vw, 887px" /></a>  </span><span style="font-weight: 400">The Huawei Sound X has added a lighting design for the first time. The fuselage is surrounded by 48 full-color LED lights in 360 degrees. The light and shadow follow the rhythm of the music. A variety of mixed light and color modes are available for users to choose from.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The Sound X 2021 has four 5W midrange speakers, a 50W subwoofer, a 3W tweeter, and two passive radiators. In contrast, the previous-generation Sound X speaker only packs two woofers and six full-range speakers.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-2.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-402850" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-2.png?x10805" alt="Sound X 2021 " width="905" height="526" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-2.png 905w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-2-300x174.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-2-768x446.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-2-696x405.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-2-723x420.png 723w" sizes="(max-width: 905px) 100vw, 905px" /></a></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Apart from the upgraded smart lighting effects, the new Sound X features a one-touch sound transmission, sound field modeling, voice interaction, smart sleep assistance, and different interactive lighting effects in different scenarios. The anthropomorphic response greatly enhances the sense of human-computer interaction. For example, when you are talking to a speaker, the speaker will emit four coherent lighting effects of sound source location, breathing listening, smart thinking, and anthropomorphic response to enhance the sense of interaction.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-3.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-402851" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-3.jpg?x10805" alt="HUAWEI Sound X 2021 Huawei " width="1024" height="473" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-3.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-3-300x139.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-3-768x355.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-3-696x321.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-3-909x420.jpg 909w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></a></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Based on the design inspiration of the tube amplifier, the new generation of Huawei Sound X is designed as a crystal clear gradual translucent body, which forms a strong contrast between the sense of transparency and the shocking sound effect, and brings a more technological and smart audio-visual experience for user interaction.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-4.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-402852" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-4.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="690" height="319" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-4.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-4-300x139.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The new-gen Sound X uses a 360° all-metal sound hole and a 3D surface seamless process with a thickness of only 0.8mm. Compared with the previous generation which fuses a plastic and mesh structure and has a thickness of 2.5mm, the key frequency band is 8-12kHz. The sound pressure level is increased by 3dB.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-5.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-402853" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-5.jpg?x10805" alt="huawei Sound X 2021 " width="1024" height="473" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-5.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-5-300x139.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-5-768x355.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-5-696x321.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/huawei-sound-x-2021-5-909x420.jpg 909w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></a></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">As Huawei&#8217;s first smart speaker equipped with HarmonyOS 2, smartphones, tablets, PCs, and smart screens can automatically be connected to the smart speaker.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Pricing information and global availability details are yet to be released by Huawei.</span></p>

This year, Huawei will launch its upgraded model with HarmonyOS and a transparent shell.  A teaser reveals that the new Huawei Sound X smart speaker will launch on July 29 alongside the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei-p50/">Huawei P50 series</a>.</p>
<p>The new Huawei Sound X smart speaker&#8217;s major highlight will be its design and the firmware it will run. According to the teaser video, the smart speaker has a transparent shell but does retain the old design. It seems to have RGB LED lights that reflect well, thanks to the transparent housing.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" title="Huawei Sound X Speaker Powered By HarmonyOS - Trailer" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ey_p0k40juk?start=15&#038;feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>Moreover, the speaker still has the Devialet branding confirming the collaboration between Huawei and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/devialet/">french audio giant Devialet</a>. Although it is not confirmed, the speaker is expected to boast a bass-boosted sound, just like the current Sound X speaker.</p>
<p>As said earlier, the new Huawei Sound X smart speaker will be powered by HarmonyOS. While the perks of having HarmonyOS on a speaker are yet to be known, we can at least expect convenient pairing with other Huawei phones that run on HarmonyOS.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-401797 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-Sound-X-1.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Sound X" width="1579" height="813" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-Sound-X-1.jpg 1579w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-Sound-X-1-300x154.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-Sound-X-1-768x395.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-Sound-X-1-1024x527.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-Sound-X-1-696x358.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-Sound-X-1-1068x550.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-Sound-X-1-816x420.jpg 816w" sizes="(max-width: 1579px) 100vw, 1579px" /></p>
<p>Also, it is expected that the speaker will bring sound improvements over the predecessor.</p>
<p>In related news, Huawei this year, launched <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/04/09/huawei-sound-x-platinum-edition-launched-china/">the Platinum Edition of the Sound X speaker</a> with EMUI and features like dual woofers, 60W peak power and vibration amplitude of up to 20mm.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The HUAWEI Sound X and HUAWEI Sound smart speakers are co-developed with Devialet, a French audio technology. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Huawei/">Huawei</a> Xiaoyi AI voice assistant powers these Hi-Res certified speakers,</span><span style="font-weight: 400"> and they also offer a stereo experience when two units are paired together. <p>Now, the company has announced a new variant of the device, called Huawei Sound X Platinum Edition. Instead of the black color option, this one comes with White and Grey outer casing with a Golden hue inside.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-315673 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Huawei-Sound-X-Platinum-Edition.jpeg?x10805" alt="Huawei Sound X Platinum Edition" width="640" height="247" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Huawei-Sound-X-Platinum-Edition.jpeg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Huawei-Sound-X-Platinum-Edition-300x116.jpeg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></p>
<p>It is said that the golden speakers produce a kaleidoscopic effect according to the rhythm of the notes, with brightness, texture and color saturation, while interpreting the eternal state of music.</p>
<p>The high-end Hi-Res smart speaker comes with two woofers which are equipped with 60W peak power and vibration amplitude of up to 20mm. The innovative, visible bass unit creates a lasting visual impression to pair with the resonance of the audio.</p>
<p>The speaker provides lossless, low-latency audio which can be further bolstered by a proprietary <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/emui">EMUI</a> 10.1 multi-device control panel. This is Huawei’s equivalent of Apple’s AirPlay and is only available on the Huawei P40 as it is the only model running EMUI 10.1.</p>

<p>It also comes with the Huawei Share function, saving users the hassle of waiting for a wireless or Bluetooth connection to establish. Users can simply tap their phone’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/nfc">NFC</a> area against the Sound X, and the speaker will begin to play without delay.</p>
<p>The device also comes with background noise suppression giving listeners a distortion-free sound even at maximum volume levels as well as low-pitched vibrations that can literally be felt in the listener’s bones. It packs Devialet‘s patented signal-processing SAM® (Speaker Active Matching) technology, and iconic Push-Push symmetrical structure.</p>
<p>Huawei Sound X Platinum Edition is currently up for pre-orders on Huawei Mall, Tmall, JD.com, and Suning Tesco. While it is priced at 1,999 yuan (~$283), the company is offering a 300 yuan (~$42) discount for those who pre-order.</p>

The design is one of the recipients of the 2020 German iF Design Award as a result of its stunning appearance.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-5.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-313006" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-5.png?x10805" alt="Huawei Sound X" width="925" height="614" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-5.png 925w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-5-300x199.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-5-768x510.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-5-696x462.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-5-633x420.png 633w" sizes="(max-width: 925px) 100vw, 925px" /></a></p>
<p>The smart speaker is designed to deliver seamless interaction with smart devices in the listener&#8217;s vicinity. Thus, if you gently tap your phone against the Sound X, it transmits audio to the speaker. The speaker also provides lossless, low-latency audio which can be further bolstered by a proprietary EMUI 10.1 multi-device control panel. This is Huawei&#8217;s equivalent of Apple&#8217;s AirPlay and is only available on the Huawei P40 since it is the only model running EMUI 10.1.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-2.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-312998" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-2.png?x10805" alt="Huawei Sound X" width="994" height="613" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-2.png 994w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-2-300x185.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-2-768x474.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-2-356x220.png 356w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-2-696x429.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-2-681x420.png 681w" sizes="(max-width: 994px) 100vw, 994px" /></a></p>
<p>It also comes with the Huawei Share function. This saves users the hassle of waiting for a wireless or Bluetooth connection to establish. Instead, you can simply tap your phone&#8217;s NFC area against the Sound X, and the speaker will begin to play without delay. In addition, with Huawei Share, you can use the Sound X to answer calls by simply switching on the call mode with a tap of your hand.</p>

<p>The Sound X sound output is equally impressive, thanks to the input of Devialet, a global audio brand that enjoys a unique reputation for its premium High-Fidelity products. The company has garnered 76 awards and 160 technology patents, and cemented its position as a leader in acoustics, with inventive products that boast thunderous power and unparalleled performance within a limited-sized body. The product also comes with background noise suppression giving listeners a distortion-free sound even at maximum volume levels as well as low-pitched vibrations that can literally be felt in the listener&#8217;s bones.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-4.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-313005" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-4.png?x10805" alt="Huawei Sound X" width="919" height="612" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-4.png 919w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-4-300x200.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-4-768x511.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-4-696x463.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-4-631x420.png 631w" sizes="(max-width: 919px) 100vw, 919px" /></a></p>
<p>The Huawei Sound X comes equipped with Devialet‘s patented signal-processing SAM® (Speaker Active Matching) technology, and iconic Push-Push symmetrical structure.</p>
<p>In terms of the exterior design, the main, glossy portion of the body is crafted from an advanced non-conductive vacuum electroplating process which allows for quality signal transmission and reception. The lower portion uses a seamless cover that further facilitates free, lossless transmission. The RGB tri-colour indicator light on the top surface seemingly blends the emitted light with its surroundings, for a kaleidoscopic display that is reminiscent of a glamorous music hall. The body is equally impact-resistant.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-7.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-313008" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-7.png?x10805" alt="Huawei Sound X" width="915" height="613" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-7.png 915w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-7-300x201.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-7-768x515.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-7-696x466.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/huawei-sound-x-7-627x420.png 627w" sizes="(max-width: 915px) 100vw, 915px" /></a></p>
<p>In addition, the speaker is equipped with dual subwoofers that deliver 60W of booming bass, while remaining compact and portable for every day, all-purpose use. The innovative, visible bass unit creates a lasting visual impression to pair with the resonance of the audio.</p>
<p>Huawei is yet to announce the pricing and availability details but promised to do that soon.</p>

The newly unveiled speakers are dubbed the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei-sound-x/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Sound X</a> and will rival <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-homepod/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Apple&#8217;s HomePods</a>.</p>
<h4>Sound X</h4>
<p>Huawei co-engineered the Sound X speakers with a French audio firm named Devialet. The latter is well known for its innovative and high end speaker systems. Thus, the Sound X arrives with a few of the features and technology behind Devialet&#8217;s other products. The Huawei Sound X has been designed with a 60W dual woofer system, which utilizes Devialet&#8217;s signature &#8220;Push-Push&#8221; technology that is capable of canceling out vibrations, while still offering powerful bass when music is being played.</p>
<figure id="attachment_306890" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-306890" style="width: 1600px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-306890 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/dims.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei" width="1600" height="916" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/dims.jpg 1600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/dims-300x172.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/dims-768x440.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/dims-1024x586.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/dims-696x398.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/dims-1068x611.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/dims-734x420.jpg 734w" sizes="(max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-306890" class="wp-caption-text">Huawei Sound X</figcaption></figure>
<p>Interestingly, Huawei has claimed that one can put a glass of water on top of the speakers and will remain perfectly still, even if you can see the woofers vibrate when music is being played. However, if at all it is possible remains to be actually seen, but buyers are advised against trying it out. The mesh grille surrounds the sides of the Sound X speakers are are &#8220;stain and splash resistant&#8221; according to official notes, although an official IPX rating has not been confirmed by Huawei.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>Editor&#8217;s Pick: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/02/24/huawei-mate-xd-launches-as-a-faster-and-more-powerful-version-of-the-mate-x-will-be-available-globally/">Huawei Mate Xs launches as a faster and more powerful version of the Mate X; will be available globally</a></strong></h6>
<h4>Design</h4>
<p>In terms of design, the Huawei Sound X resembles the Apple HomePod to a certain degree. It features a colorful LED display at the top and has a black circular/ovoid body with that is covered by the wraparound speaker grille. Furthermore, one can connect to the speaker with NFC OneHop audio sharing, which allows for pairing with a smartphone in just a single touch. Similarly, another notable feature is the gesture controls, enabling muting of the speaker by just holding your hand on top of the Sound X.</p>
<figure id="attachment_306891" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-306891" style="width: 694px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-306891 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Sound-X-Smart-Speaker.png?x10805" alt="Huawei" width="694" height="339" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Sound-X-Smart-Speaker.png 694w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Sound-X-Smart-Speaker-300x147.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Sound-X-Smart-Speaker-533x261.png 533w" sizes="(max-width: 694px) 100vw, 694px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-306891" class="wp-caption-text">Huawei Sound X features Devialet&#8217;s 60W dual woofers system</figcaption></figure>
<p>Huawei has stated that the new smart speaker is capable of delivering audio at 360 degree plane, meaning it delivers sound in every angle and is capable of adjusting the profile according to the position where it is placed. In other words, it can fine tune audio based on whether it is situated in the middle of the room or up against a wall and with a frequency range of up to 40kHz.</p>

The smart speaker from Huawei is currently up for pre-orders in the company&#8217;s home market with a deposit of 100 yuan and will start shipping from 5th December.</p>
<p>As for the features, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/11/25/huawei-unveils-sound-x-smart-speaker-co-developed-with-devialet/">Sound X</a> comes with two 3.5” subwoofers (60W in total) and uses SAM bass enhancement technology and is claimed to be the first smart speaker with a Hi-Res certification. As per the company, the bass can dive to an ultralow frequency of 40Hz, allowing you to feel the bass effect with your entire body.</p>
<p>It offer sound intensity of 93 decibels and Huawei says that even at such a high volume, sounds are not distorted because the speaker uses Devialet’s Push-Push acoustic design. The Push-Push design has two symmetrical woofers installed in a confined space and cancels out noise generated at a high volume by using the back-wave thrust.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>EDITOR&#8217;S PICK: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/11/26/redmi-k30-launch-10-december/">Redmi K30 5G smartphone officially confirmed to get launched in China on December 10th</a></strong></h6>
<p>The speaker also comes with six evenly distributed 1.5” 8W mid-range speakers alongside the subwoofers which are tuned using Huawei’s Histen sound algorithm. The Sound X also has spatial awareness, so it adjusts sound output depending on where it is placed.</p>
<p>The company has placed microphones around the speaker that can pick up your voice from up to 5 meters away. The combination of the 1.5GHz <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mediatek">MediaTek</a> MT8518 quad-core processor and anti-interference signal processing technology ensures that your commands are picked up even in a noisy environment. It comes with 512MB of RAM and 8GB of storage. It supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and has a power rating of 24V 2.7A.</p>
<p>The Huawei Sound X also has NFC support and if your phone too has NFC, all you have to do is touch it against the NFC icon on the speaker. The speaker can also be paired with another unit for a dual-speaker stereo mode. It can be used to control compatible smart home products. Huawei’s HiLink technology works with products from Midea, Gree, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/tcl">TCL</a>, Haier, Skyworth, Bosch, Siemens and more.</p>

Called the MatePad Pro, the tablet is also expected to pack some flagship specs. A new leak has revealed Huawei will also announce a new smart speaker called the Sound X on that day. We don&#8217;t have to wait till that day to know what the Sound X looks like or its specs as the leak includes a user manual that contains all these details.</p>
<p>The Huawei Sound X has a cylindrical design but looks nothing like its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/09/01/huawei-finally-launches-its-first-smart-speaker-ai-cube-alongside-a-gps-locator/">AI Cube</a> that launched last year. <p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-290041" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-Sound-X-b.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Sound X" width="1050" height="1227" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-Sound-X-b.jpg 1050w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-Sound-X-b-257x300.jpg 257w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-Sound-X-b-768x897.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-Sound-X-b-876x1024.jpg 876w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-Sound-X-b-696x813.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-Sound-X-b-359x420.jpg 359w" sizes="(max-width: 1050px) 100vw, 1050px" /></p>
<p>The manual reveals the smart speaker&#8217;s model number as AIS-BW80H-00. The Sound X will be powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and will have 512MB of RAM and 8GB of storage.</p>
<p>There are two 60W subwoofers and six 1.5W tweeters for a 360° 5.1 home theater surround sound experience. The Sound X connects via Bluetooth 5.0 to your phone and supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi networks.</p>
<p>This is a smart speaker, so it is no surprise that it will be able to control things such as your lights, robot vacuum cleaner, and smart plugs thanks to Huawei&#8217;s HiLink app. The manual also mentions the speaker has six microphones that can pick up your voice from up to 5 meters away.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-290042" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-Sound-X.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Sound X" width="996" height="1280" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-Sound-X.jpg 996w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-Sound-X-233x300.jpg 233w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-Sound-X-768x987.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-Sound-X-797x1024.jpg 797w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-Sound-X-696x894.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-Sound-X-327x420.jpg 327w" sizes="(max-width: 996px) 100vw, 996px" /></p>
<p>The manual says the Huawei Sound X is 165 millimeters tall and has a diameter of 203 millimeters. It weighs 3.5 kilograms and has a power input rating of 24V/2.7A. There is no info on the price but it may cost over $100.</p>
