The images of the company&#8217;s three upcoming smartphones &#8212; Y3, Y5 Prime and Y6 (2018) have surfaced online.</p>
<p>Evan Blass has posted images of the Huawei&#8217;s budget Y-series of smartphones, giving us a glimpse at the design of Huawei&#8217;s Y3, Y5 Prime, and Y6 (2018).</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-186686 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y3-2018.png?x44794" alt="" width="805" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y3-2018.png 805w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y3-2018-300x186.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y3-2018-768x477.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y3-2018-540x335.png 540w" sizes="(max-width: 805px) 100vw, 805px" /></p>
<p>In the leaked images, the Huawei Y3 2018 appears to have a metal finish design, but there&#8217;s a high possibility that the phone will have a plastic body. There are thick bezels surrounding the display, especially on the top and bottom and no fingerprint sensor appears on the device.</p>
<p>The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right side. On the back side, there&#8217;s a single camera, LED flash and a speaker grille. The leaked image doesn&#8217;t have capacitive navigation buttons, hinting that the phone will have on-screen buttons.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-186687 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y5-prime.png?x44794" alt="" width="805" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y5-prime.png 805w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y5-prime-300x186.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y5-prime-768x477.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y5-prime-540x335.png 540w" sizes="(max-width: 805px) 100vw, 805px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The Huawei Y5 Prime also appears to have been crafted out of metal. Compared to the Y3, the Y5 Prime seems to have a premium design language. There&#8217;s a single camera sensor on the back side, coupled with an LED flash.</p>
<p>Apart from these two, there&#8217;s Huawei <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/04/12/huawei-y6-2018-with-full-view-189-display-sd-450-android-oreo-unveiled/">Y6 (2018)</a>, which is expected to the premium device among the three. This device too could come with on-screen navigation buttons.</p>
<p>On the back side, the camera module is placed on the top-left corner. The camera sensor is placed along with an LED flash in a horizontal bar, giving it a look as if the phone carries a dual camera setup, although it doesn&#8217;t.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-186688 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y6-2018.png?x44794" alt="" width="805" height="456" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y6-2018.png 805w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y6-2018-300x170.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y6-2018-768x435.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 805px) 100vw, 805px" /></p>
<p>Surprisingly, there&#8217;s no fingerprint sensor on any of the three devices. However, there&#8217;s a possibility that the company could opt to offer a facial recognition feature. Even with face unlock support, the exclusion of a fingerprint sensor is an odd step.</p>
<p>While the specifications related to these devices have not been revealed in this new leak, previous leaked has revealed the specs of Huawei Y3. The phone is expected to carry a display with screen resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and powered by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mediatek/">MediaTek</a> MT6737 processor. It&#8217;ll have 1GB RAM and 8GB RAM, and will be running Android 8.1 Oreo and pack 2,200mAh battery.</p>
<p>The Huawei Y6 (2018) has already been announced by the company. However, the company has not yet revealed its pricing and availability details. The smartphone has a 5.7-inch HD+ display with 1440 x 720 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It comes equipped with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm/">Qualcomm</a> Snapdragon 425 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>There&#8217;s a microSD card support for up to 256GB. For the photography, it comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. Running on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android-oreo/">Android Oreo</a> out-of-the-box with EMUI 8.0 on top, the device is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.</p>

<figure id="attachment_131410" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-131410" style="width: 427px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-131410" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Huawei-Y3-2017-5.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei Y5 Lite" width="427" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Huawei-Y3-2017-5.jpg 427w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Huawei-Y3-2017-5-256x300.jpg 256w" sizes="(max-width: 427px) 100vw, 427px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-131410" class="wp-caption-text">Huawei Y5 Lite 2017/Huawei Y3 (2017)</figcaption></figure>
<p>The Huawei Y5 Lite will follow the steps of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/alcatel-1x-smartphone-full-specification-and-features/">Alcatel 1X</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nokia-1/">Nokia 1</a>, and ZTE Temp Go in providing a version of Android that runs on devices with 1GB RAM or less.</p>
<p>The Huawei Y5 Lite (2018) is most definitely the same device as the Huawei Y3 (2018) seen at the FCC yesterday. The Y3 (2017) is known as the Y5 Lite (2017) in Latin America, so it makes sense that Huawei will keep to the naming scheme this year too.</p>
<p>The phone is said to have an 854 x 480 display, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. It also has a dedicated MicroSD card slot and is powered by a MediaTek MT6737m processor. The rest of the specs are still a secret, so also is the launch date and price.</p>

<p>Android Go (Oreo Edition) comes with specially made versions of Google apps with the “Go” suffix. For other popular apps like Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Shazam and Messenger there are “Lite” versions that should work fine with the limited resources available.</p>

As the name suggests, this upcoming device is the successor of the Huawei Y3 2017 that was <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/05/15/huawei-y3-2017-backup-phone-need-summer-vacation/">launched last year</a>.</p>
<p>The phone has received the FCC certification and the alleged live image of the phone, along with its key specifications, has been leaked online. The FCC certification passing suggests that the launch of the phone is not far away.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-175603 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/huawei-y3-2018-leak.png?x44794" alt="Huawei Y3 (2018) Leak" width="1280" height="832" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/huawei-y3-2018-leak.png 1280w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/huawei-y3-2018-leak-300x195.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/huawei-y3-2018-leak-768x499.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/huawei-y3-2018-leak-1024x666.png 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /></p>
<p>The leaked images show that the device comes with a single camera, dedicated microSD card, and a single SIM slot. But we can&#8217;t make out much from the images. As for the specifications, it appears that the handset carries a model number CAG-L22.</p>
<p>Huawei Y3 (2018) seems to have been powered by an entry-level <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mediatek/">MediaTek</a> MT6737 processor paired along with 1GB RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal storage and as the phone also has a microSD card slot, users can use it to further expand the phone&#8217;s storage capacity.</p>
<p>The phone has also appeared on Geekbench and the listing reveals that the display carries a low resolution of 480 × 854 pixels. The device will be backed by a 2,200mAh battery. However, what&#8217;s interesting is the software on this device.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-131372 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Huawei-Y3-2017-2.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei Y3 2017" width="1920" height="800" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Huawei-Y3-2017-2.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Huawei-Y3-2017-2-300x125.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Huawei-Y3-2017-2-768x320.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Huawei-Y3-2017-2-1024x427.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></p>
<p>As per the leaks, the Huawei Y3 (2018) will be running <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android-oreo/">Android 8.1 Oreo</a> operating system out-of-the-box. There are also rumors suggesting that the budget device could be one of the few devices that will come with the support for Project Treble.</p>
<p>Considering this specs for a moment, it seems Huawei Y3 2018 won&#8217;t be a banger and there are better options available in the market. In any case, we believe that the price point could be a key factor in this case.</p>
<p style="text-align: center"><span style="color: #ff0000"><strong>Read More:</strong></span> <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/02/25/huawei-mediapad-m5-tablets-powered-kirin-960-processor-announced-mwc-2018/">Huawei MediaPad M5 Premium Android Tablets Powered by Kirin 960 Processor Announced At MWC 2018</a></p>
<p>Currently, there is no information available about the phone&#8217;s pricing or availability details. Given that the Huawei Y3 2017 edition was launched in the month of May for about $80, we are expecting similar pricing for this upcoming device as well.</p>

Since two of them have similar model number and appeal, they seem to be variants of an upcoming Huawei phone while the third one seems to be a different smartphone. It is speculated that these two phones may arrive in the market as Huawei Nova 3, Nova 3 Plus and Y3/Y5 2018.</p>
[envira-gallery id=&#8221;171857&#8243;]
[envira-gallery id=&#8221;171852&#8243;]
<p>The design of the Huawei FLA-AL00 and FLA-TL10 are quite similar. The appearance of the dual camera setup looks similar to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-nova-2/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Huawei Nova 2</a>Nova 2 series phones. Hence, these variants are speculated to debut as Nova 3 and Nova 3 Plus.  The AL00 Huawei phones are usually made available through China Unicom whereas the TL00 variants are sold through either China Mobile or China Telecom in the home country. Hence, the FLA-AL00 and FLA-TL10 could be the carrier variants of the Nova 3.</p>
<p>The Huawei LDN-TL00 is speculated to be the successor of Huawei Y3 or Y5 2017 smartphones from last year. Since the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/04/04/huawei-y5-2017-official-new-easy-key-feature-3000mah-battery-emui-4-1/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Huawei Y5 2017</a> was unveiled in April and the Nova 2, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-nova-2-plus/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nova 2 Plus</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/05/15/huawei-y3-2017-backup-phone-need-summer-vacation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Y3 2017</a> phones were launched in May, it is speculated that the their successor models may arrive early in the second quarter of this year.</p>

<p>All three upcoming Huawei phones seem to support 18:9 aspect ratio supporting screen. The rear sides of these phones are flanked with dual cameras and fingerprint reader. The appearance of the dual camera setup on the Y3/Y5 2018 looks different from Nova 3 and 3 Plus. The Y3/Y5 2018 seems to feature single front camera whereas the Nova 3 models have dual selfie snappers. These phones are likely to carry support to for dual-SIM and arrive preinstalled with Android 8.0 Oreo and EMUI 8.0.</p>
<p>We advise our readers to digest this report with a pinch of salt. The identify of the above phones can be guessed properly only when their TENAA listing are updated with specs.</p>
