The images of the company&#8217;s three upcoming smartphones &#8212; Y3, Y5 Prime and Y6 (2018) have surfaced online.</p>
<p>Evan Blass has posted images of the Huawei&#8217;s budget Y-series of smartphones, giving us a glimpse at the design of Huawei&#8217;s Y3, Y5 Prime, and Y6 (2018).</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-186686 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y3-2018.png?x44794" alt="" width="805" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y3-2018.png 805w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y3-2018-300x186.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y3-2018-768x477.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y3-2018-540x335.png 540w" sizes="(max-width: 805px) 100vw, 805px" /></p>
<p>In the leaked images, the Huawei Y3 2018 appears to have a metal finish design, but there&#8217;s a high possibility that the phone will have a plastic body. There are thick bezels surrounding the display, especially on the top and bottom and no fingerprint sensor appears on the device.</p>
<p>The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right side. On the back side, there&#8217;s a single camera, LED flash and a speaker grille. The leaked image doesn&#8217;t have capacitive navigation buttons, hinting that the phone will have on-screen buttons.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-186687 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y5-prime.png?x44794" alt="" width="805" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y5-prime.png 805w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y5-prime-300x186.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y5-prime-768x477.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y5-prime-540x335.png 540w" sizes="(max-width: 805px) 100vw, 805px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The Huawei Y5 Prime also appears to have been crafted out of metal. Compared to the Y3, the Y5 Prime seems to have a premium design language. There&#8217;s a single camera sensor on the back side, coupled with an LED flash.</p>
<p>Apart from these two, there&#8217;s Huawei <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/04/12/huawei-y6-2018-with-full-view-189-display-sd-450-android-oreo-unveiled/">Y6 (2018)</a>, which is expected to the premium device among the three. This device too could come with on-screen navigation buttons.</p>
<p>On the back side, the camera module is placed on the top-left corner. The camera sensor is placed along with an LED flash in a horizontal bar, giving it a look as if the phone carries a dual camera setup, although it doesn&#8217;t.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-186688 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y6-2018.png?x44794" alt="" width="805" height="456" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y6-2018.png 805w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y6-2018-300x170.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y6-2018-768x435.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 805px) 100vw, 805px" /></p>
<p>Surprisingly, there&#8217;s no fingerprint sensor on any of the three devices. However, there&#8217;s a possibility that the company could opt to offer a facial recognition feature. Even with face unlock support, the exclusion of a fingerprint sensor is an odd step.</p>
<p>While the specifications related to these devices have not been revealed in this new leak, previous leaked has revealed the specs of Huawei Y3. The phone is expected to carry a display with screen resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and powered by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mediatek/">MediaTek</a> MT6737 processor. It&#8217;ll have 1GB RAM and 8GB RAM, and will be running Android 8.1 Oreo and pack 2,200mAh battery.</p>
<p>The Huawei Y6 (2018) has already been announced by the company. However, the company has not yet revealed its pricing and availability details. The smartphone has a 5.7-inch HD+ display with 1440 x 720 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It comes equipped with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm/">Qualcomm</a> Snapdragon 425 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>There&#8217;s a microSD card support for up to 256GB. For the photography, it comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. Running on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android-oreo/">Android Oreo</a> out-of-the-box with EMUI 8.0 on top, the device is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.</p>

The latest addition is a Y-series device dubbed Huawei Y6 (2018).  The device is already arriving in markets like the Philippines and Russia. The stand out feature on the Y6 (2018) is definitely the full-view display screen which its packs.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y6-2018.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-184889" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y6-2018.png?x44794" alt="Huawei Y6 (2018)" width="769" height="501" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y6-2018.png 769w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y6-2018-300x195.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y6-2018-768x500.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 769px) 100vw, 769px" /></a></p>
<p>The Huawei Y6 (2018) is no doubt a budget device but then, it is one which gives you value for your money and perhaps, even more. The device packs a 5.7-inch display with a tall 18:9 aspect ratio. The display has aa HD+ resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. The Y6 (2018) is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset which is with an Octa-core CPU clocked at 1.8GHz and the graphic is powered by the Adreno 506 GPU. Thus the HD+ display might actually perform like an FHD+ display as a result of the efficient GPU. The processor is backed by 2GB of RAM and there is 16GB of storage onboard. The storage can be expanded via a microSD slot which is located on the left side of the phone.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y6-2018-3.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-184891" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y6-2018-3.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei Y6 2018" width="617" height="689" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y6-2018-3.jpg 688w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y6-2018-3-269x300.jpg 269w" sizes="(max-width: 617px) 100vw, 617px" /></a></p>
<p>On the camera aspect, the Huawei budget smartphone packs a 13MP rear sensor which is located at the top left corner. The rear camera actually looks like it is a dual lens setup but there is only one sensor with an LED flash by the side.  The Huawei logo is located at the bottom and there is no fingerprint sensor. The absence of a home button at the front effectively means the device doesn&#8217;t come with a fingerprint sensor. You don&#8217;t need to fret even though this is a budget model. Huawei hints the device packs the Face unlock technology. There is also a 5MP selfie camera onboard with some AR features for tweaking the photos.</p>
