The upcoming P40 series of flagship phones from Huawei is rumored to include three phones such as Huawei P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro PE (Premium Edition). As the name suggests, the latter is expected to arrive as a more powerful version of the P40 Pro. A South Korean retailer seems to have listed the Huawei P40 Pro PE smartphone. The listing carried its image and specifications.

The listing revealed that the Huawei P40 Pro Premium Edition will be equipped with a dual punch-hole OLED curved display that offers 120Hz refresh rate. The 6.7-inch display supports high resolution of 1440 x 3160 pixels along with a pixel density of 518ppi. The OLED panel seems to be integrated with a fingerprint reader

The Kirin 990 5G chipset will be present under the hood of the Huawei P40 Pro PE. The SoC is supported by 12 GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device is 512 GB. The handset will come preloaded with Android 10 OS.

The P40 Pro PE is the first Huawei phone to sport a penta-lens camera setup. It includes a 52-megapixel main lens, a 40-megapixel secondary lens, an 8-megapixel third lens, a 3D ToF (Time of Flight) sensor and a periscope zoom camera. The front-facing dual camera setup of the phone has a 32-megapixel main lens and a 3D ToF lens coupled with EIS and OIS.

The Huawei P40 Pro PE is backed by a humungous 5,500mAh battery that supports 50W fast charging and 27W rapid wireless charging. The handset will be sporting an IP68 rated chassis and it will include other features like Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C and NFC. The retailer did not reveal the pricing of the phone. A recent leak had revealed that it could be priced between 1,199 euros (~$1,338) and 1,299 euros (~$1,450).

The Huawei Mate 30 series of smartphones have been available in China since the past few months. The Chinese manufacturer has been selling the Mate 30 Pro 5G in 256 GB and 512 GB storage models. Today, the Chinese manufacturer has started with the sales of the 128 GB variant of the phone.

Like the 256 GB and 512 GB storage variants of the Mate 30 Pro 5G, its 128 GB model is also equipped with 8 GB of RAM. The 128 GB Mate 30 Pro 5G can be availed with a price tag of 6,399 Yuan (~$915). It will co-exist with 256 GB and 512 GB variants that are respectively priced at 6,899 Yuan (~$986) and 7,899 Yuan (~$1,129). The new variant is available for purchase through Vmall in colors like Vegan Leather Forest Green and Vegan Leather Orange.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G Specifications and Features

The Mate 30 Pro 5G houses a 6.53-inch OLED display that offers full HD+ resolution of 1176 x 2400 pixels. With the wider notch on the screen that houses a front-facing of 32-mgeapixel and complex sensors for 3D face unlock, the smartphone offers an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The front and rear sides of the phone are shielded by Gorilla Glass 6.

The Kirin 990 5G chipset powers the smartphone. It ships with up 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.0 storage of up to 512 GB. There is a nanoSD card slot (shared SIM slot) for expanding its storage. The EMUI 10 based Android 10 OS runs on the device.

The Leica engineered quad camera setup resides on the backside of the phone. It includes an OIS assisted 40-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom support, a 40-megapixel ultrawide shooter and a 3D ToF lens. The phone features a front-facing camera of 32-megapixel.

The 4,500mAh battery of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G supports 40W fast charging, 27W fast wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. The handset is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint. It lacks support for 3.5mm audio jack. The phone comes with an IP68 rated dust and water-resistant body.

Huawei is scheduled to launch the Huawei Nova 6 at an event in China on Dec. 5. Apart from the 4G and 5G variants of the Nova 6, the company is also expected to unveil the Nova 6 SE. This is not the first time the Nova 6 SE has been mentioned in public. Popular tipster Evan Blass had mentioned about the existence of the device earlier in November. Initial renders of the Nova 6 SE surfaced over the past weekend, revealing quite a few features of the smartphone.

Android Headlines shared a couple of images of the Nova 6 SE yesterday. Although the green filter makes it impossible to identify the actual color variant, a quad-camera setup at the rear is prominent. The Nova 6 SE also gets a punch-hole display, instead of the Nova 6’s dual selfie camera setup. While initial rumors suggested that the rear camera layout would be vertically-aligned, the new images revealed a square layout, with an LED flash housed below the unit.

Huawei Nova 6 SE Specifications and Features (Rumored)

The Huawei Nova 6 SE is expected to flaunt Sony’s new 60-megapixel IMX686 sensor at the rear along with a 16-megapixel sensor and two 2-megapixel sensors. The smartphone could be similar to the Huawei Nova 5z that debuted last month. The Nova 6 SE is likely to draw power from the Kirin 810 SoC that debuted in the Huawei Nova 5 back in June this year. 

Powering the smartphone could be a 4,800mAh battery with 40W Huawei Supercharge. The smartphone flaunts a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for additional security along with the volume rocker on the right edge. The Nova 6 SE will likely retain an IPS LCD display considering its mid-range placement. There is no official confirmation on a launch date or price at the moment.

In related news, the Huawei Nova 6 is rumored to flaunt a 6.44-inch display along with the Kirin 990 SoC. The pill-shaped cutout on its screen will be equipped with 32-megapixel dual selfie snappers with 105-degree field-of-view. The rear-facing camera setup of the phone may feature the forthcoming Sony IMX686 lens. The smartphone may draw power from a 4,000mAh battery and may arrive with 40W fast charging charging technology support.
