<p><a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/hyundai">Hyundai</a> is making bold strides with its <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/ioniq-6-n">Ioniq 6</a> N, rumored to be the most powerful model in its N series. Expected to debut by 2025, this electric anomaly is set to redefine boundaries in the segment.</p>

<h3>The car will hit 0 to 60 mph in a staggering 3.2 seconds</h3>

<p>Hyundai&#8217;s journey towards electrification gained momentum with the Ioniq 5 N, but the Ioniq 6 N is set to surpass its predecessor. Equipped with a dual-motor setup, it&#8217;s anticipated to deliver a staggering 641 horsepower. Though its torque remains under wraps, it&#8217;s speculated to exceed the 545 lb-ft offered by the Ioniq 5 N. These figures suggest a vehicle capable of extraordinary acceleration, likely outperforming the Ioniq 5 N&#8217;s 3.2-second sprint to 60 mph.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/hyundai-rn22e-concept-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="hyundai" class="wp-image-585274" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/hyundai-rn22e-concept-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/hyundai-rn22e-concept-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/hyundai-rn22e-concept-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/hyundai-rn22e-concept-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/hyundai-rn22e-concept-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/hyundai-rn22e-concept-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/hyundai-rn22e-concept-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/hyundai-rn22e-concept.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The Ioniq 6 N&#8217;s design borrows insights from the RN22e concept, unveiled last year as a precursor to Hyundai&#8217;s electric N models. The RN22e, with its 577 horsepower, not only matched the Kia EV6 GT but also served as a testing ground for the E-GMP platform, crucial for high-performance <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/electric-vehicles">electric vehicles.</a></p>

<p>Despite this electric focus, Hyundai hasn&#8217;t abandoned gasoline-powered cars. The upcoming Elantra N is expected to feature an even more robust gasoline engine. However, the emphasis on electric N models is unmistakable, driven by tightening global emissions regulations.</p>

<p>This move isn&#8217;t just about compliance. Hyundai is committed to keeping the thrill of driving alive, even in an electric future. The Ioniq 6 N stands as a testament to this commitment, blending environmental responsibility with the exhilaration of high performance.</p>

<p>Production will begin this year in the third quarter. Sales in the United States will begin in early 2023, with a larger rollout to follow.</p>
<p>Hyundai is to invest 95.5 trillion won ($73 billion) on electrification this decade, launching at least 17 new models between now and 2030 and aiming for annual sales of 1.87 million EVs by the end of the decade. The company aims for a 7% share of the global EV market by 2030 and an 11% share in the US. The Ioniq 6 arrives around seven and a half months after Hyundai Motor Group subsidiary Kia introduced its latest Niro electric SUV.</p>
<p>According to BloombergNEF data, Hyundai and Kia sold approximately 123,000 battery-powered and plug-in hybrid EVs in the first half of this year, putting them third on the world&#8217;s top EV-maker list behind Tesla and BYD Co. The region of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa accounted for approximately 60% of their sales, while Kia has become the second-most popular EV brand in the United States this year.</p>

The company is now providing an early look-in for the Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV. The Ioniq 6 EV is an all-electric sedan that follows the Ioniq 5 crossover SUV of 2021. Bloomberg reports that Hyundai’s EV market share is rising in both Europe and the United States.<img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-468120" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-3-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="Hyundai Ioniq 6" width="696" height="464" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-3-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-3-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-3-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-3-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-3-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-3-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-3.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>The Hyundai Ioniq 6 draws some inspiration from vehicles from the 1920s. It is streamlined similar to the Hyundai Prophecy concept car introduced two years ago. Hyundai has kept the technical specifications of the Ioniq 6 under wraps. The battery capacity and range of the Ioniq 6 are not yet known. The Ioniq 6 uses the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) which can deliver a range of about 315 miles (515 km) as seen in the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/06/12/hyundai-launches-driverless-ride-hailing-service-in-seoul-south-korea/">Ioniq 5</a>. However, the streamlined design of the Ioniq 6 could deliver a much bigger range than its predecessor.<img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-468119" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-4-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="Hyundai Ioniq 6" width="696" height="464" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-4-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-4-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-4-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-4-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-4-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-4-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-4-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-4.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>The interior of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 includes two 12-inch touchscreens and an array of infotainment and features. There is an infotainment display, a digital cluster, and physical buttons for control. The choice of this hardware is driven by safety considerations, says Hyundai. There are also interior lights, a flat floor, and optimized leg room. Camera door mirrors are optional replacements for the regular wing mirrors in the Ioniq 6.<img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-468122" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="Hyundai Ioniq 6" width="696" height="464" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/hyundai-ioniq-6.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>The Ioniq 6 will go into production in July with the first deliveries in 2023. There are no pricing details yet, but it is expected to be cheaper than the $46,650 price tag for the Ioniq 5.</p>
