Sony’s next generation of premium headphones could be getting a global launch announcement soon. The brand unveiled its last flagship WH-1000XM5 model back in 2022, and now it appears a successor is right around the corner. The Sony WH-1000XM6 has just surfaced in another certification platform, so here’s what we know.

Sony WH-1000XM6 spotted on Singapore’s IMDA

The Japanese tech giant’s upcoming high end headphones jut recently visited the IMDA database, which is a Singaporean certification (via 91Mobiles). The Sony WH-1000XM6 carried the YY2984 model number. While this listing does not reveal any finer details like its specifications, design, or other notable details, it does confirm that it is a “Wireless Noise Cancelling Stereo Headset”, which supports Bluetooth.

To recall, this is the same model number as the one spotted on the FCC certification last month, which had revealed a lot more details regarding the WH-1000XM6. The brand is apparently planning a design overhaul with a new hinge. Removable earpads were also confirmed along with its general design. Sony’s WH-1000XM6 is expected to launch with support for Bluetooth 5.3 and support for Bluetooth LE Audio. Under the hood, a chipset from MediaTek might power these premium headphones and it will likely support fast charging support as well.

Sony might unveil the WH-1000XM6 headphones in the second quarter of this year (between April and May). Sources have claimed that it will be available in three color options, namely river, blue, and black. Apart from this, the listing hints that the POCO F7 series of smartphones are set to launch in the global market soon.

The POCO F7 and POCO F7 Ultra monikers were previously revealed in the IMEI database, with the latter being the first ever “Ultra” branded phone. Based on what we know so far, the POCO F7 Ultra might be a rebranded version of the Redmi K80 Pro. For those unaware, the K80 Pro model will be launching in the Chinese market soon, and it features some top notch specs and features. To recall, the Redmi K80 Pro is rumored to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC under the hood. On the front, it will sport a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Chinese tech giant’s Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G was certified on the IMDA platform, carrying the 24116RACCG model number (Via MySmartPrice). Unfortunately, the database did not reveal any finer details regarding the smartphone like its specs, features, and design. But it does confirm that the Note 14 Pro 4G will support 4G networking, WiFi, NFC, and Bluetooth for connectivity.

Just last week, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G had also surfaced on the FCC database. It listed the device with 24116RACCG model number, but more details were confirmed. The Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G sports a tall 6.67-inch pOLED display that has an FHD+ resolution. It would likely support a high refresh rate as well. This smartphone can be seen in the database in multiple storage configurations. This includes 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB options.

A massive 5,500mAh battery pack is expected to power this smartphone. This is larger than its predecessor which had a 5,000mAh cell. However, the fast charging speeds are still unclear. While the chipset details are still unclear, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G will reportedly feature a MediaTek processor. However, the exact name of this processor is still unclear. HONOR is preparing to launch its Magic V3 foldable smartphone globally. Originally released in China, the global variant has now emerged on Geekbench, revealing some key details.

The HONOR Magic V3 global model, identified by the model number FCP-N49, has been spotted on Geekbench listing confirms that it will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, an octa-core processor with a peak clock speed of 3.30GHz. The device will feature 12GB of RAM and an Adreno 750 GPU. The HONOR Magic V3 will come with Magic OS 8.0, based on Android 14.

The smartphone has scored 1914 points in single-core and 5354 points in multi-core tests. The device has also grabbed IMDA and TDRA certifications, which indicate that the brand plans to debut it in Singapore and the UAE. We already know that the brand has plans to launch the device in the European markets as well.

Honor Magic V3 specs:

The Honor Magic V3 Chinese model comes with a 6.43-inch main display with curved edges and FHD+ resolution, as well as a 7.92-inch internal display with a resolution of 2,344 x 2,156 pixels. Both screens support a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR Vivid, and are compatible with stylus input. The peak brightness reaches 5,000 nits, though it’s uncertain if this applies to both displays. It has an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button and features a 7-series aluminum alloy frame. It’s IPX8-certified, offering water resistance up to 2.5 meters.

Huawei‘s upcoming smartwatches, the Watch GT 5 and Watch GT 5 Pro, are inching closer to release. Both models have secured certifications in multiple regions, indicating an imminent launch.

Identified by model numbers VLI-B19 and VLI-B29 respectively, the watches have been spotted in China, Indonesia, and now Singapore. These certifications confirm basic features like activity tracking, Bluetooth connectivity, and notification display.

A previous report has revealed that the Watch GT 5 will boast IP68 water resistance and support 18W charging. While specific details remain scarce, the consistent appearance in regulatory databases suggests a global rollout is in the pipeline. Meanwhile, here are the specifications of its predecessor.

The latest certification in Thailand for the Reno 12 model, numbered CPH2625, suggests that the smartphone is ready for its worldwide debut. The phone has also passed regulatory standards in Singapore, which supports various network technologies such as WCDMA, LTE, 5G, and more.

Details on the Reno 12 remain limited, but Geekbench listings suggest it will include an octa-core processor, potentially the Dimensity 8300 SoC, with the Mali G615 MC2 GPU for the global version, and the Dimensity 8250 SoC for China. The IMEI listing confirmed the Redmi 13 moniker while the FCC certification confirmed the HyperOS 1.0 custom skin, which is based on Android 14. The latter also revealed that it will be powered by a 4,930mAh rated battery capacity that will likely have a 5,000mAh typical capacity. This battery supports up to 33W wired fast charging as well. Just a week ago, a fresh report confirmed some exclusive info about the Redmi 13.

Xiaomi is apparently referring to the handset with the codename “moon” and model numbers “N19A/C/E/L.” Some versions of this device will support NFC while others will ship without it. Unfortunately, finer details regarding this device like its specs, features, design, and more are still unclear.

The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 and Smart Band 9 NFC were spotted in China, getting the radio certification as well last month. Back in February 2024, the previous-gen Smart Band 8 Pro finally went on sale in Europe, despite it first arriving in China in August 2023. There is essentially nothing here that would reveal any hardware or features onboard the upcoming earbuds, however, it does reveal that the device is essentially greenlit to launch in Singapore and the UAE by respective authorities. Since these earbuds will be the successors of the Xiaomi Buds 4, we can get an idea of what we can expect by looking at the Buds 4.

Xiaomi 15 leaks are around, but the Xiaomi 14 Ultra awaits its global launch. However, it is reported to debut by the end of this month, as the Xiaomi Group President posted a teaser that hints at the phone’s upcoming launch. Even Xiaomi India teased Leica and Xiaomi branding teasers a few days ago. The global variant is also doing the rounds on public certifications, including BIS India, 3C and now it has surfaced on Singapore’s IMDA certification.

The listing doesn’t reveal anything evident but confirms the upcoming launch in Singapore. Even a Chinese leaker who has a decent history claims the smartphone’s launch this month. So, concluding from different sources, it is highly likely that the Xiaomi 14 Utra will be launched soon.

Recent reports indicate that the primary camera of the device will boast a variable aperture range from f/1.63 to f/4.0. The main camera is expected to be the Sony LYT-900 50-megapixel camera with a one-inch sensor. Additionally, the 14 Ultra is anticipated to sport a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera offering up to 120 mm of focal length. The quad-camera system may also include a 50-megapixel IMX8-series ultra-wide lens and another 50-megapixel telephoto camera.

It would feature a similar design and is expected to launch in blue, orange, and black. There have already been rumors regarding cutting-edge features and even an under-display camera for selfies as well. 

While there have been leaks hinting at the presence of an under-display camera, precise details about the additional cameras are yet to be confirmed. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset under the hood of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will enable two-way satellite connectivity. The device is expected to house a 5,180mAh battery that supports 50W wireless charging and 90W wired charging.

The smartphone could debut during the MWC 2024 tech exhibition alongside the Xiaomi Pad 7 by the end of February.

Starlink WiFi 6 Router certified on FCC and IMDA

SpaceX’s Starlink is apparently working on a new WiFi 6 router, which was spotted on the IMDA and FCC database. The IMDA certification revealed that it carries the UTR-232 model number and was listed as a low power WLAN device. On the other hand, the FCC listing confirmed that it will utilize the same wireless bands as other WiFi 6 routers.

It also adds that the upcoming router features two built in LAN ports and will house two power adapters, namely UTP-231L and UTP-232C. The UTR-232 Wi-Fi 6 router is likely a finalized version of the UTR-231 Wi-Fi 6 router, which is a Gen 3 mesh router. To recall, the UTR-231 is expected to be an accessory for existing Starlink customers to boost their connectivity with Starlink’s coverage.

In the past, Starlink’s dish came bundled with the Gen 1 and Gen 2 WiFi routers that only supported the WiFi 5 standard. The upcoming Gen 3 mesh router supporting WiFi 6 means that users can expect much faster broadband speeds. The Chinese smartphone maker’s latest tablet model was spotted on the IMDA certification. It was certified in Singapore carrying the HEY2-W09 model number. The platform lists the Honor Pad 9 as a low power tablet device that supports Wi-Fi connectivity. Back in November 2023, the upcoming tablet also surfaced on UAE’s TDRA database with the same model number as well.

Honor unveiled the Magic V2 foldable smartphone back in July 2023 in China. The device is among the bestselling foldables in the Chinese market as it managed to sell around 8 million units in about 3 months. The brand has already announced its plans to launch the smartphone in the global market in 2024.

Ahead of its launch, the foldable has appeared on the IMDA certification website with the model number VER-N49. While its IMDA listing hints at a potential launch in Singapore, the exact date remains undisclosed. That being said, the brand previously announced that the Magic V2 will be launching in regions like Germany, Italy, Spain, Ireland, the UK, and Some Latin American markets. The phone might also launch in some South East Asian markets.

The smartphone today has surfaced on multiple certifications, including the Bluetooth SIG, Singapore’s IMDA, and Thailand’s NBTC. All the certifications confirm its imminent launch. Amid the leaks and public certifications, the device is already up on Walmart in the US.

The smartphone however, already appeared on Walmart confirming most of the specifications. It is listed depicting the presence of 6.5-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display, a 13MP front camera, and a 50MP primary rear sensor. The 5G variant is powered with MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC. It bundles a 5000 mAh battery and measures 6.30 x 3.00 x 0.33inches in size.

The 4GB + 128GB storage variant is listed for the price of $139 which roughly translates to Rs 11,600. It is only available in Blue Black color option.

As per leaks, the smartphone primary-rear sensor is accompanied with a 5MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP depth sensor.

There might be slight change in the SoC for the Galaxy A15 4G variant.

Xiaomi unveiled the Smart Band 8 Pro wearable model earlier this year in its home market of China. Now, it appears that the global roll out of this device is near, as it was recently sighted in a Singaporean certification platform.

Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro Visits IMDA

The Chinese tech giant’s latest Smart Band model was spotted on the IMDA database. Looking at the online listing, the device was spotted along with the POCO M6 Pro 4G and the Redmi Note 13 4G. Previously, the Smart Band 8 Pro was spotted on Malaysia’s SIRIM certification, carrying the model number M2333B1. The IMDA certification labels the smart wearable as a low power consumption product with Bleutooth connectivity.

Unfortunately, no finer details like pricing and specs regarding the band was revealed. However, since the device has already been released in China, we can expect the global variant to be similar if not identical. The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro was released for a starting price tag of 399 Yuan (roughly 56 US Dollars) in China. It sports a 1.74-inch AMOLED display that has a 336 x 480 pixel resolution. The display has 600 nits of peak brightness and offers over 100 watch faces.

This model number matches an earlier leak claiming that it belongs to the POCO F6 Pro global model. Although the listing does not reveal any specification details, it does confirm that the phone will be launched in Singapore.

Redmi Recently launched the Redmi Note 13 lineup in China, and now, the brand is expected to launch these devices in the global market. A recent report revealed that the brand is planning to launch the Redmi Note 13 Pro (Chinese model) as the Poco X6 5G in the global market. Now, the device has picked up the IMDA certification.

The IMDA certification of the Poco X6 5G features model number 23122PCD1G. The certification confirms that the device will feature 5G, Bluetooth, WiFi, and NFC capabilities. In addition to that, it is also kind of a green light to launch in Singapore. Previously, the device emerged on BIS certification, greenlighting a potential Indian launch in the coming days. Although not much has been confirmed in the specs department, we can go by the spec sheet of the Redmi Note 13 Pro (Chinese model) to get an idea of what to expect from the Poco X6 5G.

Poco X6 5G specs (expected)

Based on the specs of the Redmi Note 13 Pro, we expect the Poco X6 5G to feature a large 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. If we get one-to-one specs, the device could also come with Gorilla Glass Victus protection, which is quite rare to see in the lower end of the mid-range.

Under the hood, the device is likely to feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip. The battery could be a 5,100mAh pack with 67W fast charging. Nothing is clear about RAM and storage at this point, however, the global variants will likely not be getting crazy specs like its Chinese counterpart which features up to 6 GB of RAM and 512 GB. A more modest 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage is likely to be the available options outside of China.

Coming to the cameras, the device could feature a 200-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. There could also be a 16-megapixel front camera. That being said, rumors suggest that the global model could be nerfed down with a 64-megapixel primary camera replacing the 200-megapixel sensor.

Qualcomm has recently announced a new Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip, which we could expect to see on upcoming mid-range phones.

After the Honor X9B’s launch a few hours ago, a new Honor smartphone – the Honor X7B appeared on Singapore’s IMDA certification website. It looks like a successor to the Honor X7A which was launched earlier this year with some entry-level specifications.

With model code CLX-X2, the smartphone that appeared on the listing, and will support Bluetooth and WLAN connectivity. Apart from the minor specification information, there’s hardly any evident information coming out of the certification.

Considering the series name, the Honor X7B could launch along with the Honor X9B which was recently spotted on some certification websites.

The new smartphone will succeed the Honor X7A which was launched earlier this year with a large 5330 mAh battery and 22.5W fast charging support. It is quoted to offer 42 hours of battery backup. Measuring 8.3mm in thickness, the smartphone houses a 6.75-inch LCD display with 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. A quad-camera sensor sits on the rear side with a 50MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. There’s an 8MP front sensor for selfies.

At the start of 2023, Motorola introduced the ThinkPhone at CES. The device was later launched in the US under the Lenovo ThinkPhone moniker. It appears the brand is gearing up for a wider global launch as the ThinkPhone has now been spotted on the IMDA certification website.

According to the initial sighting reported by TheTechGoing, the ThinkPhone has been identified with the model number XT2309-2 in Singapore. Unfortunately, the listing does not provide any specific details regarding the device’s specifications. However, prior to its release in Singapore, the ThinkPhone had already been launched in the United States, and we are already familiar with all its features and specifications.

Lenovo ThinkPhone specs

The Lenovo ThinkPhone boasts a 6.6-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support for vibrant visuals. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, it offers smooth multitasking with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

In terms of photography, the ThinkPhone features a 50MP main camera with PDAF and OIS, a 13MP ultrawide camera with Macro Vision, and a 32MP autofocus selfie camera. It is also MIL-STD 810H and IP68 certified, providing water resistance and durability against extreme conditions.

The device houses a 5,000mAh battery that supports 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. It comes with a wired charger included. With its generous specifications and robust features, the Lenovo ThinkPhone offers a reliable and immersive smartphone experience.

Back in March, the Oppo Pad 2 was launched in China featuring a metallic unibody design, a QHD+ display, and the Dimsnity 9000 SoC. The same device was launched in the global market under the OnePlus banner called the OnePlus Pad. Now, it appears that Oppo is gearing up to launch the Oppo Pad 2 for the global market as well as it has appeared on the IMDA certification website.

The OPPO Pad 2, identified by the model number OPD2202, has recently surfaced on the IMDA certification platform. This model number coincides with its previous appearance on the SIRIM certification platform. Although the certification does not mention any details about the specifications, it indicates that the tablet could debut in Singapore soon.
