After a long walk in the rumor mill, Transsion Holdings subsidiary Infinix has gone official with the Infinix Hot 10S. The device is the brand’s latest mid-range model under the prolific Hot series and it will be available in India from May 27.

The Infinix Hot 10S utilizes a waterdrop notch design on top of the screen which is a 6.82-inch display with an HD+ resolution of 1640 x 720 pixels. The display features a 20.5:9 aspect ratio and has a 90.6% screen-to-body ratio. The display comes with support for a 90Hz refresh rate, 440 nits brightness, and 180Hz touch sampling rate.

Under the hood, the Hot 10S is fired up by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with up to 4GB/ 6GB LPDDR4X RAM. The phone is available in a sole 64GB storage option with support for storage expansion up to 256GB via microSD.

For optics, the device crams a triple camera setup at the rear comprising a 48-megapixel main shooter with f/1.79 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an AI lens. There is also a Quad-LED flash for clearer captures. At the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash. The back panel has a diamond-patterned design and equally packs a fingerprint sensor.

The Infinix Hot 10S runs on Android 11-based XOS 7.6 and keeping the lights on is a mammoth 6,000mAh battery. The phone comes with support for 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/GLONASS, and Beidou. There is equally a 3.5mm jack onboard as well as FM radio.

In terms of the price, the Infinix Hot 10S 4GB+64GB version is priced at Rs 9999 (~$137) while the 6GB+64GB version will retail for Rs 10,999 (~$150). The phone comes in Morandi Green, 7° Purple, Heart of Ocean, and 95° Black colors. It will go on sale in India from May 27 12 noon via Flipkart. Buyers will receive an Rs. 500 discount across the board during the first sales.

Transsion Holdings subsidiary Infinix Mobile recently launched the Infinix Note 10 series comprising the Infinix Note 10, Note 10 Pro, and Note 10 Pro NFC. Infinix is now set to update its Hot series for the Indian market. The company has disclosed that it will launch the Hot 10S on May 20.

The Infinix Hot 10S is a budget smartphone that has already been launched in other markets. The smartphone will be sold exclusively on the popular e-commerce platform Flipkart in India. The device will fall under the Rs 10,000 price point and will arrive with some impressive features.

Infinix has promised to list the specifications of the Hot 10 S on the Flipkart product page on May 16. However, we’ll look up the recent launch in Indonesia to refresh your memory of the specs. The model features a 6.82-inch HD+ TFT LCD panel with a resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels. The panel utilizes a 20:5:9 aspect ratio and a dewdrop notch at the top. The display also has support for a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate.

The Infinix Hot 10 S is fired up by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with up to 6GB RAM and there is up to 128GB of expandable storage onboard. The phone runs on the custom XOS 7.6 based on Android 11 while the lights are kept on by a mammoth 6,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging. The phone uses a MicroUSB port.

On the camera end, the Hot 10 S packs a triple camera setup at the rear and these include a 48MP main sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and the third camera is an AI lens. At the front, there is a decent 8MP selfie shooter. You also get a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack among other features

Last month, Infinix announced the Infinix HOT 10S in Indonesia. This smartphone was unveiled alongside the Infinix HOT 10S NFC. A couple of weeks later, the company has officially revealed when this phone will be hitting the Indian shores.

According to a report by 91Mobiles, the Infinix HOT 10S will be launching in India in the second week of May. This piece of information comes directly from Infinix. According to the company, this smartphone will arrive with “a smooth display, classy design, high gaming performance, and superior camera.”

For those unaware, the Infinix HOT 10S flaunts a 6.82-inch HD+ TFT LCD panel with a resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, a 20:5:9 aspect ratio, and a dewdrop notch. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The handset house a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and an AI lens. Whereas, on the front, the phone features an 8MP selfie camera.

It runs XOS 7.6 based on Android 11 and is backed by a 6,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging via a MicroUSB port. Other features of this handset include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a MicroSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, and essential sensors (proximity sensor, accelerometer, compass, ambient light sensor).

Last but not least, the Infinix HOT 10S measures 171.5 x 77.5 x 9.2mm in dimensions.
