The option to expand the RAM up to 16GB (8GB physical + 8GB virtual) provides ample headroom for multitasking, which is handy if you frequently switch between apps or run demanding applications.

With 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, there’s plenty of space for apps, photos, and videos. According to Infinix, with the TUV SUD A-Level certification, the Hot 50 5G will offer five years of smooth operation. This assurance is comforting, knowing that the phone is built to last and maintain its performance over time.

The 5,000mAh battery is another highlight of the Infinix Hot 50 5G. It easily lasts through a full day of heavy usage, including streaming, gaming, and browsing. The phone supports 18W fast charging, which takes over 2+ hours to achieve a full charge. The AI Charge Protection feature further extends battery life by optimising charging cycles and protecting battery health over time. The Hot 50 5G runs on XOS 14-based Android 14. There’s no confirmation whether it will be treated with any Android OS upgrade. What’s certain is that the device will be treated with two years of security updates. The UI is clean, and the integration of Infinix AI enhances its functionality with features like AI Wallpaper Generator, AI Cam, and AI Battery Optimisation. Also, the Dynamic Bar, reminiscent of iPhone’s Dynamic Island, works efficiently for showing alerts for face unlock, music player, voice recorder, background call, charging animation, charging complete reminder, and low battery reminder.

Cameras and Other Features

The camera system on the Infinix Hot 50 5G is quite impressive for its segment. The 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 main camera captures detailed and vibrant images. The same camera has been previously seen on high-end phones, such as the Poco F3, Poco X3 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A34, Redmi Note 10 5G, and iQOO 3. Whether you’re shooting close-ups or landscapes, the camera produces clear and sharp photos. The range of camera modes, including AI Cam, Dual Video, Film Mode, and Pro Mode, adds versatility to your photography, allowing you to experiment with different styles and settings.

A good thing about the portrait mode is that it offers 1x and 2x options. When it comes to video shooting, it supports up to 2K 30fps through the rear and front cameras. However, there is no support for stabilized video recording.

Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. This will be paired with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. 

It is also said to be rated TUV SUD A-Level 60-month fluency assurance, which certifies that the phone can operate smoothly for up to 5 years. 

In terms of optics, the Infinix Hot 50 5G will feature a dual-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 48MP primary sensor and an additional AI camera. The device will also offer a variety of camera modes to enhance your photography experience.

Infinix has confirmed that it will announce the Infinix Hot 50 5G in India on Sept. 6. The official microsite, which confirms the launch date, has also revealed the design and key specifications of the device. Here’s a look at what’s known about the device.

Infinix Hot 50 5G design

The Infinix Hot 40 series featured an iPhone-like camera module, but the upcoming Hot 50 has a completely different design with a vertically arranged camera island. The front of the device features a punch-hole display that supports wet-touch functionality, making it suitable for use with damp fingers.

The top side of the phone appears to be barren, while the left edge houses a SIM slot. The device seems to feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The bottom edge of the phone has not been revealed yet. With an IP54 rating, the device will be available in three colors: black, blue, and green.

Infinix Hot 50 5G specifications

It is officially confirmed that the Infinix Hot 50 5G will come equipped with the Dimensity 6300. This indicates that it will have an affordable price tag and could be priced at around Rs 12,000.
