<p>Yesterday, tipster Mukul Sharma revealed that <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/infinix">Infinix</a> is planning to launch the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/09/12/infinix-note-30-vip-racing-edition-renders-leaked/">Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition</a> in the global market. The tipster also shared a couple of renders of the device. Now, the brand has itself released a new teaser to hint at the arrival of what appears to be a special edition version of the existing Infinix Note 30 VIP.</p>

<h3><strong>Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition coming soon</strong></h3>

<p>According to Sharma, the Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition will come with a distinctive design element—a black leather-grain back cover embellished with tri-color LED lights in blue, green, and red hues. This design distinguishes it from other high-priced BMW-branded smartphones, such as the iQOO 11 Legend BMW Edition and the Galaxy S23 Ultra BMW Edition.</p>

<p>While specific information about the release date remains limited, it appears probable that this exclusive edition device will be unveiled on the global market in the near future.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/09/11/infinix-new-3d-lighting-leather-tech-note-30-vip/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The LED design was teased by Infinix recently</a> (via GSMArena) and according to the company, this tech combines LED lights with translucent TPU leather in multiple layers to create a unique visual experience on the back of the phone. It can be used to display dynamic notifications and alerts, possibly with sound effects, making it an innovative feature in the smartphone industry. While similar to Nothing&#8217;s approach, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/infinix/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Infinix</a>&#8216;s implementation appears distinctive and futuristic.</p>

Here is all the information on the specifications, features, and price of the device.</p>

<h3><strong>Infinix Note 30 VIP specifications and features</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Infinix-Note-30-VIP-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Infinix Note 30 VIP" class="wp-image-543790" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Infinix-Note-30-VIP-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Infinix-Note-30-VIP-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Infinix-Note-30-VIP-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Infinix-Note-30-VIP-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Infinix-Note-30-VIP-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Infinix-Note-30-VIP-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Infinix-Note-30-VIP.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Infinix Note 30 VIP</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The month of May will be as busy as April if not more in terms of smartphone launches. Only 3 events are officially confirmed so far. But there are multiple other expected conferences, the dates for which should be revealed in the coming days.</p>

<p>We are looking forward to new product releases from a whopping 12 brands. Apple and Samsung are the only major companies that might not debut new phones. Though the latter may introduce certain already announced handsets in newer markets.</p>

<p>These forthcoming devices will be spread across different price segments. Most of the phones on the list are being launched ahead of the 618 shopping festival in China, which annually occurs during mid to late June.</p>

<p>That does not mean there won’t be any global releases. In fact, we will be witnessing the debut of some of the most anticipated smartphones of 2023.</p>

<p>With that out of the way, let’s go through all the handouts that are about to launch in May.</p>

<h2><strong>Upcoming Smartphones in May 2023</strong></h2>

<h3><strong>Poco F5 Series</strong></h3>

<p>The Poco F5 series <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/04/26/poco-f5-f5-pro-global-launch-date-announced-pro-model-wont-launch-in-india/">will be unveiled</a> on May 9 at 8 PM GMT+8. The lineup will include two devices, namely Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/POCO-F5-Pro-render-black-and-white-1024x576-1.png?x44794" alt="Poco" class="wp-image-533467" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/POCO-F5-Pro-render-black-and-white-1024x576-1.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/POCO-F5-Pro-render-black-and-white-1024x576-1-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/POCO-F5-Pro-render-black-and-white-1024x576-1-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/POCO-F5-Pro-render-black-and-white-1024x576-1-696x392.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/POCO-F5-Pro-render-black-and-white-1024x576-1-747x420.png 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Poco F5 Pro</figcaption></figure>

<p>The standard and pro variants will be rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo and Redmi K60, respectively. They will be even sold in original Redmi colors instead of the usual Poco color schemes.</p>

<p>Just like the last Poco F Pro model (Poco F2 Pro), the Poco F5 Pro will not be sold in India. The vanilla F5 will come with 256GB as standard and is tipped to cost below ₹30,000 in India and $500 in other regions.</p>

<p>The month of March was <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/11/upcoming-smartphones-march-2023/">full of smartphone launches</a>. We witnessed the release of many most-anticipated handsets like the Oppo Find X6 series, Huawei P60 series, Redmi Note Turbo, and more.</p>

<p>April won’t be different either. Multiple big-name brands have already confirmed to debut several high-profile devices.</p>

<p>For example, Vivo will be launching its new-gen foldables, including its first clamshell foldable. Also, Xiaomi will release its new Ultra smartphone, while Asus will debut its latest ROG gaming smartphone.</p>

<p>Apart from the aforementioned premium handsets, we are also looking forward to mid-rangers and budget models, like the much-awaited flagship-killer Poco F5. All in all, there will be new phone releases this month spread across different price segments.</p>

<p>With that out of the way, let’s have a look at these handsets one by one.</p>

<p>The product will offer a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera, a 12MP Sony IMX373 ultra-wide unit, a 16MP front-facing camera, a 4,110mAh battery, and an IP68 rating for dust as well as water resistance.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3><strong>Vivo X Fold 2 and Vivo X Flip</strong></h3>

<p>The Vivo X Fold 2 and Vivo X Flip are expected to launch this month. The former will go official as the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 foldable, while the latter is the company’s first clamshell foldable.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Vivo-X-Fold-2-live-image-1024x576.png?x44794" alt="Vivo X Fold 2" class="wp-image-527823" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Vivo-X-Fold-2-live-image-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Vivo-X-Fold-2-live-image-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Vivo-X-Fold-2-live-image-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Vivo-X-Fold-2-live-image-696x392.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Vivo-X-Fold-2-live-image-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Vivo-X-Fold-2-live-image-747x420.png 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Vivo-X-Fold-2-live-image.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The X Fold 2 is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/04/06/vivo-x-fold-2-specifications-leaked/">said to come</a> with an 8.03-inch 120Hz main display and a 6.03-inch 120Hz secondary screen. It will sport a Zeiss-powered triple camera setup head by a 50MP Sony IMX866 sensor. These cameras will use Vivo V2 ISP for image processing.</p>

<p>On the other hand, the X Flip will feature a large cover display on its back. But the screen <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/04/03/vivo-x-flip-live-image/">appears to be inconvenient</a>. This device is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip instead.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3><strong>Poco F5 Series</strong></h3>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Poco-F5/">Poco F5</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Poco-F5-Pro/">Poco F5 Pro</a> might release by the end of April. These handsets will go official as rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo and Redmi K60.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Redmi-Note-12-Turbo-Featured-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi Note 12 Turbo" class="wp-image-526070" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Redmi-Note-12-Turbo-Featured-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Redmi-Note-12-Turbo-Featured-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Redmi-Note-12-Turbo-Featured-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Redmi-Note-12-Turbo-Featured-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Redmi-Note-12-Turbo-Featured-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Redmi-Note-12-Turbo-Featured-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Redmi-Note-12-Turbo-Featured.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Therefore, the vanilla model will house the new Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 chipset, whereas the pro variant will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. But both will arrive with an OIS-assisted 64MP main camera, MIUI 14 based on Android 13, and 67W wired charging support.</p>

<p>Since both are rebadged versions of different phone lineups, their design will differ. Thus, the regular variant will sport a 3.5mm headphone jack, unlike the pro.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p>The Note 30 VIP has emerged on Bluetooth SIG bearing the model number X6710. It is likely that this device is the successor of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/infinix-note-12-vip/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Infinix Note 12 VIP</a>. Other than confirming the moniker, the listing also confirms that the Note 30 VIP will feature Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. With this certification in hand, we can expect the Note 30 VIP to make its debut in March or April of 2023.</p>

<p>Infinix&#8217;s website has listed a device on its &#8220;Declaration of Conformity&#8221; page, revealing that it will be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and 68W fast charging support. Compared to last year, the brand appears to be favoring battery life over fast charging as the Note 12 VIP featured a 4,500mAh battery and 120W fast charging. Let&#8217;s take a look at the other features of the Note 12 VIP to get an idea of what to expect from the successor.</p>
