Infinix might be planning on entering the gaming tablet segment soon. A new sighting has revealed an upcoming Infinix XPAD GT model, which could feature specs and features that target the gaming audience. So here’s everything we know.

The Infinix XPAD GT was spotted on the Carlcare Service platform, which is the official after sale service company that is employed by Infinix, Tecno, and other brands (Via Raihanhan121 on X).

The platform confirms the Infinix XPAD GT moniker and reveals the X1301 model number. Apart from the name, the listing also confirmed 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. This also marks the brand’s entry into the gaming tablet market. Considering how the original XPAD had a 4G chipset, we can expect an upgraded processors that cater to gamers along with 5G support as well. Other guaranteed features should be a high refresh rate display and a large battery for an uninterrupted gaming experience.

For those unaware, the Infinix XPAD launched with an 11-inch IPS LCD screen that had a FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The front and rear packed an 8MP camera and this model ran on the ANdroid 14 OS based XOS 14 custom skin out of the box. A massive 7,000mAh battery pack powered this model, which supported 18W wired fast charging. So we can also expect upgrades in its hardware as well.

Infinix has expanded its product portfolio in India today with the launch of its first tablet, the Infinix XPad. The XPad targets the budget segment and offers a large display, capable processor, and long battery life at a competitive price point. 

Infinix XPad Specifications 

The XPad boasts a sleek design with a metal unibody construction that’s both lightweight (496g) and thin (7.6mm). It is built around an 11-inch FHD+ (1200 x 1920) display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a screen-to-body ratio of 83%.

Under the hood, the XPad utilizes a MediaTek Helio G99 processor built on a 6nm process. Users can choose between 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, paired with either 128GB or 256GB of expandable storage (up to 1TB via microSD). Powering the device is a sizable 7000mAh battery which supports 18W wired charging.

For capturing photos and videos, the XPad features an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera, suitable for basic needs. The audio experience is enhanced by a four-speaker stereo system with DTS and WIDVINE L1+ certification.

A unique feature of the tablet is its Folax Voice Assistant. The assistant is integrated with ChatGPT technology and allows users to interact with the device more naturally and receive assistance with daily tasks.  

The XPad runs on XOS 14 based on Android 14. Connectivity options are well-rounded, including Dual Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, 4G LTE for on-the-go connectivity, a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, FM Radio, and OTG support.

Price and Availability

The Infinix XPad LTE comes in three color options – Titan Gold, Steller Grey, and Frost Blue. It will be available for purchase starting September 26th, 2024, at 12 PM IST on Flipkart and select retail stores. 

The starting price is set at Rs. 10,999 (around USD 134) for the 4GB + 128GB variant. Whereas, the higher-tier 8/256GB model is priced at Rs 13,999 (around USD 167) in India.

The Infinix XPad, as seen above, will officially launch in India on Sept. 13. According to the microsite, the device has a metal unibody design and will be available in three colours: Stellar Grey, Frost Blue, and Titan Gold.

The XPad features an 11-inch LCD screen with an FHD+ resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, a refresh rate of 90Hz, and an 83 percent screen-to-body ratio. But in this category, there is another worthy contender, which is the Redmi Pad SE 4G. So here’s a head-to-head comparison of these two tablets.

Infinix Xpad vs Redmi Pad SE 4G: Design & Display

Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Pad SE 4G with a compact body that measures just 8.8 mm in thickness and weighs 370 grams. On the other hand, the Infinix Xpad was announced with a flat frame with a metal unibody. This adds to its premium feel. Both models have a flat panel that is surrounded by sizeable bezels, although these are uniform in size on the Xpad.

This will land it smack dab in the middle of tablets like the Redmi Pad SE and the OnePlus Pad Go. In this article, we will discuss how the Infinix XPad compares to the OnePlus Pad Go.

Design & display

Design-wise, there are some similarities between the two tablets. They both come with a boxy design with flat edges and feature a metal unibody design. The Infinix tablet has its camera island tucked away in the top corner, while the OnePlus Pad comes with a more centered rear camera.

Up-front, the Pad Go offers a slightly larger 11.35-inch LCD display, while the XPad has an 11-inch LCD screen. Both these displays have large bezels around them, however, their resolutions are a different story. Since both the Infinix XPad and the OnePlus Pad Go use the MediaTek Helio G99, it would be easy to assume that they both offer similar performance. Infinix has recently launched the Note 40X smartphone in India. Now the company is working on releasing its XBuds 3 TWS earphone, which has been spotted by MySmartPrice on the TDRA and BIS certification platforms.

Launch date of XBuds 3 TWS appears to be imminent

According to the TDRA certification listing, the XBuds 3 is a Bluetooth earphone that comes with the model number XE31. The application was issued on 3rd August 2024. It hints that the product is going to launch soon in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Unfortunately, the listing does not reveal any more information about the earphones.

The XBuds 3 (with the model number XE31) has also been spotted on India’s BIS certification platform, confirming the device’s imminent launch in India.

It has also been spotted on Indonesia’s SDPPI and the TUV certification platform, which confirmed that it is going to be a TWS earphone.

Infinix is also working on X series smartwatches and a tablet for the Indian market

The company is also gearing up to launch its first smartwatch series in India. The series includes a total of three models – Xwatch 3, Xwatch 3 Plus, and Xwatch 3 Classic. The watches have also appeared on several certification platforms. The company is going to launch its X series products in India, which will also include the Infinix XPad.

According to previous reports, the Infinix XPad will come in three colors – Frost Blue, Stellar Grey, and Titan Gold. The tablet will offer a dual-tone finish on the plastic back. In the top left corner, a square module with rounded edges appears to house a dual camera unit on the back as well as an LED flash.

It will reportedly house an 11-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 239 ppi pixel density. The device will be running on the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate 4G chipset and will be paired with 4GB of RAM. It will likely be based on the company’s XOS based on Android 12.

Last month, we exclusively confirmed that Infinix is entering the tablet market with a device called the XPad. Today, those rumors have been confirmed with a full-blown leak, including official-looking renders and a look at the XPad’s specifications.

The leaked images show a fairly standard tablet design in three color options: blue, gray, and gold. The display is expected to be an 11-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate.

Inside, the Xpad will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chipset. This SoC is typically found in budget smartphones, suggesting the tablet isn’t designed for demanding tasks. 

Additionally, the tablet will have 4GB of RAM, which seems insufficient for multitasking on a 2024 tablet. The software side will see Infinix XOS skin on top of Android 14. However, it does offer expandable storage up to 256GB.

The rear camera system features a dual setup with a 12-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, while the front-facing camera is 8 megapixels.

The tablet will have a 7000mAh battery and will only be available in a WiFi-only model, with no cellular connectivity.

A crucial missing detail from the leak is the price. Given the Xpad’s modest specs, its success will likely depend on its affordability.
