<p>According to an <a href="https://www.eenewseurope.com/news/intel-TSMC-5nm" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>EENewsEuropre</em> </a>report, a market analysis from Trendforce revealed that the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company is set to start production of the Intel Core i3 processors in the second half of 2021. This arrives as Intel still struggles with its leading edge process technology with 10nm and 7nm processes. After the Core i3, Intel is expected to also outsource the production of its mid range and high end CPUs to TSMC as well, through its 3nm process in the second half of 2022.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>UP NEXT: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/01/21/apple-shifts-production-iphone-12-mini-to-iphone-12-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Apple shifts some production from iPhone 12 mini to iPhone 12 Pro to meet high demand: Report</a></strong></h6>
<p>Intel has already been outsourcing the production of a significant part of its non CPU based chips to TSMC and UMC. Notably, the shift to TSMC also follows <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/amd/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">AMD</a>, which has taken advantage of the chipmakers 7nm process and has improved its standing in the PC market. At the moment, team red holds a superior position thanks to TSMC&#8217;s 7nm process. So, the move from team blue could have it also rival AMD better in the desktop PC market and regain lost market share.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-348915 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Intel-Logo.jpg?x10805" alt="Intel" width="1268" height="664" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Intel-Logo.jpg 1268w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Intel-Logo-300x157.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Intel-Logo-768x402.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Intel-Logo-1024x536.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Intel-Logo-696x364.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Intel-Logo-1068x559.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Intel-Logo-802x420.jpg 802w" sizes="(max-width: 1268px) 100vw, 1268px" /></p>
<p>Unfortunately, Trendforce did not mention the source of this claim and the report arrives as a result of its investigation. In other words, this is still an unconfirmed report so take it with a pinch of salt for now. So stay tuned, as we will be providing more updates when additional information is available.</p>

<p>The new version features the eighth-generation Core i3-8145U, paired with 4G memory, and 256GB SSD. Apart from these modifications, the Core i3 version adopts the same design and hardware with the other versions.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/redmibook.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-266163" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/redmibook.png?x10805" alt="RedmiBook 14" width="776" height="418" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/redmibook.png 776w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/redmibook-300x162.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/redmibook-768x414.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/redmibook-696x375.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 776px) 100vw, 776px" /></a></p>
<p>As a reminder, the RedmiBook 14 packs a 14-inch full HD screen, which explains the number 14 attached to the moniker. The display comes with narrow 5.75mm bezels and a solid 81.2% screen to body ratio. The screen equally comes with an anti-glare matte coating to ensure good display visibility in the daytime. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/redmi">Redmi</a> notebook is relatively lightweight at 1.5Kgs and comes with a 19mm full-sized keyboard. Unlike the new MacBooks, the RedmiBook boasts a number of ports like HDMI, 2 x USB 3.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB 2.0 port.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/redmibook-14.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-266168" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/redmibook-14.png?x10805" alt="redmibook 14" width="772" height="413" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/redmibook-14.png 772w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/redmibook-14-300x160.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/redmibook-14-768x411.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/redmibook-14-696x372.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 772px) 100vw, 772px" /></a></p>
