Compared to its 23% market share in Q4 2020, the company now only holds 7% of the smartphone market in China, shrinking to three times smaller than the previous year. Despite this, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Huawei</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">’s value as a company as a whole did not decline. Instead, the company’s value has now grown into becoming the top 10 most valuable brands of 2022.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Twitter, Huawei recently </span><a href="https://twitter.com/Huawei/status/1486904663366836228"><span style="font-weight: 400;">retweeted</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> a report from Brand Finance, one of the world’s leading brand valuation consultancies headquartered in London. In the Twitter post, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Huawei</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> mentions that despite many unforeseen challenges faced by the company, it had managed to improve its rankings in the world’s most valuable in 2022. For reference, the company was ranked the 15th most valuable brand of 2021, however in 2022, the company managed to jumped 6 spots and became the 9th most valuable brand of 2022 among 500 other international brands. Huawei was to be valued at 71.2 billion USD.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As for the report from Brand Finance, it can be accessed via brandirectory.com. From the report, it was concluded that </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Apple</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> is the most valuable brand of 2022, with an estimated valuation of 355.1 billion USD. Coming in as runner ups are the 3 other US tech giants, namely </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/amazon/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Amazon</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> valued at 350.3 billion USD, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/google/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Google</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> at 263.4 billion USD and </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/microsoft/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Microsoft</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> at 111.9 billion USD. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As for other tech companies, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Samsung</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> is ranked 6th valued at 107.3 billion USD, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/facebook/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Facebook</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> is ranked 7th valued at 101.2 billion USD and </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/verizon/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Verizon</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> was ranked 10th most valuable brand of 2022 valued at 69.6 billion USD.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">So how did </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Huawei</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> manage to increase its brand value despite facing supply issues because of the US sanctions? Well, although </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Huawe</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">i’s smartphone market share fell drastically, Huawei’s other businesses are facing exponential growth. Ever since Huawei got restricted by the US sanctions, the company has been branching out into other businesses, such as Smart TVs, Smartwatches and Smart Electric Cars as well.</span></p>

So how much will the OnePlus smartphone sell overseas? Today, we will break it down for you.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-22311" alt="OnePlus smartphone" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/1_550_pic.jpg?x44794" width="393" height="412" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/1_550_pic.jpg 393w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/1_550_pic-286x300.jpg 286w" sizes="(max-width: 393px) 100vw, 393px" /></p>
<p>The OnePlus smartphone comes in 16 GB and 64GB storage models, and officially sold in China for CNY$1,999.99 (USD$320) and CNY$2,299.99 (USD$368) respectively.</p>
<p>The prices for the international versions are as follows (price of 16GB model listed first, followed by price of 64GB model):</p>
<p>United States:<br />
USD$299 (CNY$1,865), USD$349 (CNY$2,180)</p>
<p>Europe:<br />
EUR$269 (CNY$1,865/USD$299), EUR$299 (CNY$2,580/USD$413)</p>
<p>England:<br />
GBP$229 (CNY$2,400/USD$384), GBP$269 (CNY$2,815/USD$451)</p>
<p>Sweden:<br />
SEK$2,499 (CNY$2,370/USD$380), SEK$2,849 (CNY$2,700/USD$432)</p>
<p>Denmark:<br />
DKK$2,099 (CNY$2,425/USD$388), DKK$2,399 (CNY$2,770/USD$444)</p>
<p>Taiwan:<br />
TWD$9,999 (CNY$2,055/USD$329), TWD$11,599 (CNY$2,385/USD$382)</p>
<p>Hong Kong:<br />
HKD$2,599 (CNY$2,090/USD$335), HKD$2,999 (CNY$2,410/USD$386)</p>
<p>From the price breakdown the OnePlus smartphone is priced the lowest in the United States, even lower than China. Even after applying tax, prices will only be similar compared to China. The prices are only a fair bit higher in other countries, with the most expensive being Sweden and Denmark in Northern European regions.</p>

<p>As for the local distribution method, OnePlus borrows Apple’s sales plan, selling their device through queues and cash only. An invitational sale method is being used overseas, similar to using forum invitation codes.</p>
