Meizu has recently sent out an invitation letter to media agencies to officially announce its new sub brand Lipro, which will focus on smart home products. The invitation is for the conference on 5th January 2021.

According to a TechSina report, the invitation letter carried an acrylic board and paper invitation card. The name of the brand ‘Lipro’ was hollowed out on to the board. The invitation letter itself carried the word ‘welcome’ in Chinese, which is likely to introduce the new sub brand as well. ‘Inspired by J. Wong’ the founder of the Chinese tech giant can be seen etched on the back of this letter a well.

With this invitation, Meizu is finally entering the smart home industry and will be launching products and services within this market. Lipro is a new brand, which will focus on interconnected IoT products from homes. As per the report, Lipro is a combination of the words ‘life’ and ‘pro.’ This is to imply that the products from the company are intended to make life better.

Unfortunately, finer details regarding the brand and its products are currently unknown. Apart from the name, the company has yet to unveil various other details either. But we can expect to hear more from the company on 5th January 2020. So stay tuned for more, as we will be providing updates when additional information is available.

Xiaomi will launch the Mi 10 Youth Edition in the afternoon of 27th April 2020. The launch conference will see the Chinese tech giant also unveiled the latest MIUI 12 and the company has already started handing out the invitations, which feature a Doraemon Mini-Claw machine.

Looking at the Mini-Claw machine, the Doraemon themes toy arrives with 5 mall plastic balls that can contain different props or gadgets, from the popular children’s show. This is also reflected by the smartphone’s name itself, named Youth Edition, and targets the new generation demographic. Some of the aforementioned gadgets include a camera, a candy, a door, and even a magnifying glass. These all tie in with the animated cartoon’s in-universe story and add to the nostalgia for many.

On 9th December 2019, Vivo went on Weibo to officially reveal the invitation for the announcement conference of the Vivo X30 series. The upcoming smartphone is equipped with a periscopic telephoto lens which is capable of an impressive of 60x magnification.

According to the images shared on the Chinese microblogging site, Vivo revealed the invitation letters with multiple telescopes and even a magnifying glass. It is a creative yet subtle way of implying of the upcoming smartphones’ zoom-in capabilities. ‘See Farther and Clearer’ was also a prominent catchphrase used and further signifies the importance of the handset’s camera.

Vivo’s X30 series is a 5G smartphone from the company and is stated to be the flagship handset for photography. The magnifying glass and telescopes on the Weibo post hint at the smartphones’ periscopic ultra-telephoto lens which is the primary focus of the device. Through these specialized lenses, it is capable of achieving 60 times super zoom to look far into the distance. Hence, the upcoming smartphone already seems to be a great recommendation for serious mobile phone photographers.

The Vivo X30 Pro’s 60x super zoom is made possible due to a square pericopic lens which is aided by a dedicated algorithm. Furthermore, the smartphone will also be equipped with a 50mm professional portrait lens which will enable higher picture quality during the zoom process.
