<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-449111 " src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/iPad-Air-5-Geekbench.png?x23692" alt="" width="437" height="537" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/iPad-Air-5-Geekbench.png 676w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/iPad-Air-5-Geekbench-244x300.png 244w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/iPad-Air-5-Geekbench-342x420.png 342w" sizes="(max-width: 437px) 100vw, 437px" /></p>
<p>The M1 powered iPad Air 5, which is showing up as <a href="https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/13520836" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">iPad 13,17 on Geekbench</a> has managed a score of 1711 points on the single-core test and 7233 points on the multi-core test. The results are on par with the current 11-inch iPad Pro which also rocks the M1 chip and usually scores around 1718 in single-core tests and 7313 in multi-core tests.</p>
<p>The listing also reveals that the Cupertino giant has not downclocked the M1 chip on the iPad Air 5 which is showing a clock speed of 3.20 Ghz. This is the real surprise here as <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Apple</a> has not downclocked it as they did with the A15 Bionic chip on the sixth-gen <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-ipad-mini-2021/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">iPad mini</a>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-353316 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/apple-m1.png?x23692" alt="Apple m1 chip" width="715" height="402" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/apple-m1.png 715w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/apple-m1-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/apple-m1-696x391.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 715px) 100vw, 715px" /></p>
<p>For those unaware, the M1 chip is a powerful processor from Apple which was first introduced with the MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and Mac mini in November 2020. The chip consists of an 8‑core CPU, 8‑core GPU, and a 16‑core Neural Engine.</p>

<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-447936 size-large" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/iPad-AIr-5-1024x683.jpg?x23692" alt="iPad Air 5" width="1024" height="683" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/iPad-AIr-5-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/iPad-AIr-5-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/iPad-AIr-5-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/iPad-AIr-5-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/iPad-AIr-5-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/iPad-AIr-5-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/iPad-AIr-5.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p>The iPad Air features a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina Display with 1640 x 2360p resolution, a peak brightness of 500 nits, and HDR support. Apple has made no reference to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/promotion">ProMotion</a> so it has a standard 60Hz refresh rate. It also offers P3 wide color gamut, True Tone, and an anti-reflective screen coating.</p>
<p>Internally, the tablet is powered by Apple Silicon’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-m1">M1 processor</a> paired with 8GB unified memory. It also features 5G connectivity.</p>
<p>For photography, the device gets a 12-megapixel camera sensor on the back and a 12-megapixel sensor on the front, which supports the Centre Stage feature from Apple.</p>
<p>The power button on the tablet also includes a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/touch-id">Touch ID</a> sensor for biometric authentication, which is located at the top of the device. It also comes with landscape stereo speakers. There’s also a USB Type-C port with data transfers up to 10Gbps.</p>
<p>Similar to the previous-generation model of the iPad Air, this one too is compatible with accessories from the company, including <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-pencil">Apple Pencil</a>, Magic Keyboard, Smart Keyboard Folio, and Smart Folio covers.</p>
<p>The Apple iPad Air comes in five colors — Space Grey, Starlight, Pink, Blue, and Purple. It has a starting price of $599 for the base model with Wi-Fi-only connectivity and 64GB internal storage. The device is currently available for pre-order and will start retailing from March 18th.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.macotakara.jp/blog/rumor/entry-42391.html"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Macotakara</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, a Japanese tech platform with connections to Asian technology supply chain manufacturers, published a post that according to its reliable Chinese sources, the designs of the iPhone SE 3 and iPad Air 5 have been officially confirmed and both devices have now gone into mass production in the region. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Macotakara</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> also shared several upcoming details of the iPhone SE 3 in their posting as well. The iPhone SE 3 is said to sport the same compact housing as its predecessor, the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-se-2020/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">iPhone SE 2</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, and the glass and aluminium chassis is to remain unchanged from its predecessor as well. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Another surprising news is that the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Apple</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> iPhone SE 3 will not include support for MagSafe. Instead, the device will only support conventional Qi Wireless Charging introduced back on the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/iphone-8/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">iPhone 8</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. MagSafe was introduced back on the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-12/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">iPhone 12</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> series to provide faster and more reliable wireless charging for iPhone users and every iPhone announced since then has had this feature.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-441746" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/MagSafe-Charger-Promo-Image.jpg?x23692" alt="MagSafe-Charger-Promo-Image" width="800" height="800" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/MagSafe-Charger-Promo-Image.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/MagSafe-Charger-Promo-Image-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/MagSafe-Charger-Promo-Image-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/MagSafe-Charger-Promo-Image-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/MagSafe-Charger-Promo-Image-696x696.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/MagSafe-Charger-Promo-Image-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The main upgrade of the iPhone SE 3 will be the performance under the hood. The iPhone SE 3 is said to come with 5G connectivity support and will be equipped with the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Apple</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> A15 Bionic chip, the same one found on the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-13/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">iPhone 13</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> series. </span></p>
