Chinee smartphone brand iQOO made its debut in India in early 2020. Since then, the company has released five handsets. Yesterday, the firm revealed that all these phones are eligible for the Android 12 update. It even shared a beta rollout timeline.

Smartphone brand iQOO says that it will upgrade its entire portfolio sold in India to Android 12. This means even the affordable iQOO 3 and the expensive iQOO 7 Legend will get the tases of the latest version of Android.

As per the schedule shared by the company, the devices released in 2021 will start receiving beta builds from the end of December. On the other hand, the iQOO 3 launched in 2020 will get the beta update by the end of March 2022.

The iQOO 3 was the first smartphone from the brand to launch in India. It made its way to the country in early 2020. Unlike other handsets with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, it comes in both 4G and 5G variants. Over a year from its release, the device is now selling at an insanely low price in the region.

The iQOO 3 comes in three storage configurations in India. The first two variants are limited to 4G, whereas the top-end model supports 5G connectivity. They debuted for the following price tags.

Back in February 2021, iQOO, the sub-brand of vivo, dropped the price of the smartphone to ₹24,990, ₹27,990, and ₹34,990 respectively. This occurred ahead of the release of iQOO 7 series.

Now, nearly four months later, the price of this handset has been dropped again. The new price cut brings the phone’s price below ₹20,000. Looks like the company is trying to clear the stock.

The new price is only valid on the iQOO online store. As per the listing, only the ‘Quantum Silver’ color version of the 4G variant is in stock. On the other hand, the 5G variant can be ordered in either ‘Quantum Silver’ or ‘Tornado Black’ color options. The special ‘Volcano Orange’ version is no longer on sale.

Having said that, it is worth noting that the phone has some software issues after the Android 11 update.

Last year, iQOO entered India with a single smartphone called iQOO 3. Despite being powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, the handset was announced in both 4G and 5G versions. It has been a year since this device’s debut in the country but the brand has not announced any other model so far. However, it has dropped the price of the iQOO 3 several times. In fact, the phone now starts at only ₹24,990 ($340).

For those unaware, iQOO is an independent brand, which was formerly a series of performance-focused smartphones by vivo. Hence, just like POCO and Xiaomi, vivo shares its resources with iQOO.

The brand entered India without any ties with vivo India, which has been operating in the country for years. Hence, iQOO India being a new player could not market its device well enough on its own.

Additionally, the phone is plagued by poor software, as per critics and users. Also, though it was part of the Android 11 Beta program, it is yet to receive the stable update.

Further, as most of the smartphone sales in India happen under the $250 segment, it was hard for a newcomer like iQOO to sell a $500+ handset. As a result, it had to cut down the price many times. 

Hence, the device is currently selling for the below-listed prices on its official online retail partner Flipkart.

We don’t know how long the phone will be selling for these price tags. Hence, if you are interested in getting this handset, make sure to place an order as quickly as possible. Also, make use of bank offers to further lower the cost.

iQOO flagship devices have finally received the GPU driver update. According to a report, users in China have downloaded the GPU drivers via the official app store.

A report by ITHome says that iQOO 3 and iQOO 5 now support GPU driver update via the respective App Store. With this, the company follows Xioami, and OPPO who have already delivered the feature to their flagships earlier. That said, the report also quotes iQOO product manager Ge Lan V saying the updates are supported only from Snapdragon 865/865+ and 765/765G. And not 855 from 2018.

This is true, as Qualcomm announced the feature during the launch of Snapdragon 865 flagship SoC. It basically follows Google’s Project Mainline like process where Users can update their GPU drivers via the official App Store. Previously, GPU drivers were patched along with System files that gets routed via carriers.

However, you can now download the GPU drivers separately and update them. This quickly enables games to adapt to the latest driver features thereby improving performance, and stability. As you can see in the screenshot below, the version is currently spotted by Chinese users. And hence, we will have to wait and see if it arrives in the other regions as well.

Simply put, updateable GPU drivers opens a new world where features of OpenGL or Vulkan API can be delivered swiftly to users. Apart from Qualcomm, ARM is another company who also announced GPU drivers support.

After Qualcomm announced the feature, Xiaomi was the first company to bring the feature to Adreno 650 GPU present on its flagships like Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Redmi K30 Pro, and more. Following this, OPPO brought it to devices like Find X2 and Find X2 Pro.

Like fellow Chinese OEMs, vivo was also part of Android 11 Beta program. The company delivered two builds each for two of its smartphones – vivo NEX 3S 5G and iQOO 3 4G/5G. Now, the firm has released the third beta build with Funtouch OS 11 based on Android 11 stable codebase.

Chinese smartphone makers like OnePlus, OPPO, and Xiaomi have already released the 2020 version of their mobile operating system. These companies have also begun to roll out beta builds to a large number of users.

On the other hand, vivo is yet to announce its latest Android skin Funtouch OS 11. However, the company did tease it at the vivo V20 series launch event in Thailand. Interestingly, the company had also quietly released a beta build of the same for vivo NEX 3S 5G and iQOO 3 4G/5G on September 20 going by their build numbers.

The first-ever Funtouch OS 11 beta build based on Android 11 stable codebase for the above-mentioned vivo smartphones comes after Android 11 Beta 1 in June and Android 11 Beta 2 in July.

Just like the previous two builds, the latest one is also only meant for developers. But anyone can try it, however, we would recommend not to.

That said, we expect vivo to soon announce Funtouch OS 11 officially in the coming days.

Vivo is one of the few OEMs to partner with Google to offer its users the latest version of Android before release. Though it is primarily meant for developers to test their app, any user can install it if they want to. The company released Android 11 Beta 1 for iQOO 3 4G/5G and Vivo Nex 3S in June. Now, after two months, the company releases Beta 2 for these devices.

Going by the build number of the update files, the Android 11 Beta 2 for the supported Vivo handsets were released in late July after OnePlus 8/8 Pro got them. Since Vivo is not popular among tech enthusiasts, the update remained under the hill until PiunikaWeb spotted it.

The installation procedure is simple as users don’t need PC or any knowledge of flash tools. All they have to do is download the update package from the link provided from the below on their phone.

Then, simply open any file manager app and tap on the downloaded file to initiate the installation procedure. This will factory reset the phone and therefore, make sure to create a backup of important files beforehand.

In a similar manner, users can return back to the stable Android 10 build by downloading and installing the rollback package provided below.

As for bugs, the company says that the battery level indicator is blocked by the punch hole camera on iQOO 3. Whereas, on Nex 3S, users cannot use Vivo Wallet feature.

AnTuTu has published the list of top 10 smartphones in July in China that offer the best value for money experience in different price segments. The list mainly includes phones released in the first half of the year and some of them are phones from last year. Google officially released Android 11 Beta 1 for Pixels a couple of days back. As expected, some of the partner OEMs also announced their involvement in the program. Oppo was the first company to reveal, followed by OnePlus, Xiaomi, Poco, and Realme. Now, Vivo and iQOO have also declared their association in the beta program with their Nex 3S and iQOO 3 handsets.

Google began to involve partner OEMs in the Android Beta program from Android Pie. Most of the companies released AOSP build for its users. But from last year, almost all of them delivered builds with their own skin like MIUI, OxygenOS, etc. The trend continues this year as well.

Hence, the Android 11 Beta 1 for Vivo Nex 3S and iQOO 3 is available as FuntouchOS and iQOO UI. Also, the update is available for both 4G and 5G variants of iQOO 3 that are sold in India.

Vivo says it will be releasing the second build in late July, which will be soon followed by stable release once Google officially launches Android 11 in August.

The currently available builds are not suitable for all users as they have some major bugs like the in-display fingerprint sensor. Anyway, if you are still interested, you can download them from the link provided below.

Once downloaded, copy the file to your device and navigate to Settings > System Update > Local Update. Do note that this will reset your phone and hence make sure to create a backup of your data before proceeding.

Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO had debuted the iQOO 3 smartphone in 4G and 5G variants in February in India. The 5G-enabled performance-centric phone is fueled by Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. In April, the Chinese firm introduced a big price cut of Rs. 4,000 (~$53) for its 4G variants and a Rs. 2,000 (~$26) discount for its 5G edition. Customers with ICICI bank cards in India can take advantage of an additional price cut of Rs. 3,000 (~$40) on the existing pricing of the iQOO 3.

The iQOO 3 4G variants such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage were introduced with respective price tags of Rs. 36,990 (~$489) and Rs. 39,990 (~$529). Due to a hike in GST rates, their costs increased to Rs. 38,990 (~$516) and Rs. 41,990 (~$556). In April, their prices were reduced to Rs, 34,990 (~$463), and Rs. 37,990 (~$503), respectively. On Flipkart, ICICI Bank Credit Card, Credit Card EMI, or Debit Card EMI transactions can bring an additional discount of Rs. 3,000 (~$40). The offer effectively reduces the pricing of both models to Rs. 31,990 (~$424) and Rs. 34,990 (~$463).

The iQOO 3 5G that has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage had debuted with Rs. 44,990 (~$598) price tag in India. The GST hike in the country increased the cost of this variant to Rs. 46,990 (~$622). However, in April, it was brought back to Rs. 44,990. The new offer on Flipkart makes it possible to avail the 5G variant with a pricing of Rs. 41,990 (~$556).

iQOO 3 specifications

The iQOO 3 has a Full HD+ 6.44-inch S-AMOLED punch-hole screen. It has Gorilla Glass 6 protection on the front and rear. The punch-hole display supports only a 60Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The iQOO UI 1.0 based Android 10 OS runs on the device. The SD865 phone has LPPDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

A couple of days back, iQOO 3 5G Transformers Limited Edition was revealed by the brand. Now, the company has announced its price as well. This version of the handset only comes in 12GB + 128GB variant and costs 3,998 Yuan ($561). It is already up for pre-order on Jingdong with sale slated to commence from June 1.

The new iQOO 3 5G Transformers Limited Edition features kevlar matte texture at the back (glass) with gold accent on sides and camera bump. The handset also has the classic ‘Autobots logo’ imprinted on the rear panel along with iQOO branding and ‘Monster Inside’ slogan.

The device also has an orange-colored power key and comes with Transformers theme out of the box. As for internals, it features the same specs as the regular iQOO 3 5G.

iQOO, the sub-brand of Vivo for premium gaming-focused smartphones, is all set to launch a limited edition smartphone — iQOO 3 5G Transformers Edition. After a few leaks, the company has now officially confirmed that the phone will be launched on 1st June.

Apart from confirming the launch date, the company has also released an image of the smartphone, showcasing the upcoming model’s design. As we can see in the image, there’s a Transformers logo on the phone’s back panel along with iQOO branding.

A vertical line with text “Monster Inside” is in the top-half of the phone. It seems that the company has adopted to offer a carbon-fibre texture on the smartphone but looking at the image, there could a glass layer on top.

For this new iQOO 3 5G Transformers Edition, we expect the company to include a custom-branded accessories in the box as well as a custom theme for the smartphone. However, its just a speculation from our side and to know for sure, we’ll have to wait for the official launch event on 1st June.

There’s carbon fibre VC liquid cooling technology onboard that can effectively reduce surface temperature by 3.5-degree Celsius and CPU temperature by 12-degree Celsius. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, along with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The device also has “Monster Touch” buttons that can be used to map gaming functions such as shoot, jump, fly, etc. In the camera department, the smartphone features a quad-camera setup that consists of a 48-megapixel main shooter, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. On the front side, the device features a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

There’s also Multi-Turbo technology for boosting the phone’s performance while gaming. It also offers other gaming friendly features such as 180Hz touch response rate, 4D in-game vibrations, and Ultra Game Mode.

One factor buyers now take into consideration when purchasing a phone is software support. The tweet also revealed the iQOO 3 will get security and OTA updates for 3 years. So, software support until 2023. Not bad at all.

This sure is good news for owners of the phone. And for those who have set their eyes on the device but are yet to purchase, this announcement might just be the push they’ve been waiting for.

The iQOO 3 has a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display with a punch-hole at the top right corner of the screen and Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It has a Snapdragon 865 processor inside and comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The Vivo sub-brand iQOO launched its iQOO 3 smartphone a couple of months back in India. The phone comes in both 4G and 5G variants though they are powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. The handset started at ₹36,990 but it was increased to ₹38,990 earlier this month due to new GST (Goods & Services Tax) by the Indian government. And now, the company has announced a permanent price cut of ₹4,000 and ₹2,000 on the 4G and 5G versions of the device respectively.

The price cut for iQOO 3 in India was already teased by the company on Twitter. It is a bold move by the new player in one of the most competitive smartphone markets in the world. We are uncertain how the brand is pulling this off as it was only able to sell the phone in March before the country went on lockdown last month and the scenario is still the same due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

At the moment, e-commerce companies in India are only allowed to sell essential goods and since phones are non-essential goods as per the government, their sales are expected to begin only after lockdown. And thus, the price cut of iQOO 3 will be effective from then.

The iQOO 3 actually had a starting launch price of INR 36,990 but the manufacturer was forced to raise the price to INR 38,990 when the tax on mobile phones was raised in India. The manufacturer is now asking fans to guess the new price tag for the phone.

It makes sense as to why iQOO is announcing a price cut now. The new OnePlus 8 start at INR 41,999 and is definitely on the radar of a number of people looking to get a new phone. The manufacturer has also slashed the price of the OnePlus 7T series, making them even more appealing to anyone whose budget is below INR 40,999. A few weeks ago, Vivo’s sub-brand launched its next-generation flagship smartphone — iQOO 3 and the phone was made available for purchase in China. The device was available in Quantum Silver and Tornado Black color so far.

Now, the company has officially started pre-sale activities for the Orange color model of the iQOO 3 5G flagship smartphone in China through major online retailers in the country. The dazzling color option is said to have been inspired from speed.

Coming to the specifications, the iQOO 3 5G smartphone features a 6.44-inch HDR10+ complaint S-AMOLED display that offers Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and 20:9 aspect ratio, 800nits of full screen brightness and 100 percent P3 color gamut.

The device also has an under-display fingerprint sensor which the company claims can unlock the device in just 0.31 seconds. There’s carbon fiber VC liquid cooling technology onboard that can effectively reduce surface temperature by 3.5-degree Celsius and CPU temperature by 12-degree Celsius.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, along with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The device also has “Monster Touch” buttons that can be used to map gaming functions such as shoot, jump, fly, etc.

In the camera department, the smartphone features a quad-camera setup that consists of a 48-megapixel main shooter, a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. On the front side, the device features a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

For enhanced audio experience, the iQOO 3 is equipped with AK4377A Hi-Fi audio chipset and Hi-Res audio certification. The Android 10 OS is pre-loaded on the device along with iQOO UI 1.0 custom skin.

There’s also Multi-Turbo technology for boosting the phone’s performance while gaming. It also offers other gaming friendly features such as 180Hz touch response rate, 4D in-game vibrations, and Ultra Game Mode.

The iQOO 3 smartphone is fuelled by a 4,400mAh battery that supports 55W Super FlashCharge technology and the company says that it takes only 15 minutes the phone to reach 50 percent battery juice from scratch.

Asus ROG Phone II is the king of battery life and it is one of the flagships with the longest lasting battery, so it wins the battery comparison. It sports a huge 6000 mAh battery with the support to reverse charging. iQOO 3 has the fastest charging technology and still a great battery with a 4400 mAh capacity, while OnePlus 7T has just an average 3800 mAh unit. Until today, we did not see any last-generation flagship offering a superior battery life to the Asus ROG Phone II.

Price

In India, you can currently grab a unit of the ROG Phone II for about Rs. 37,999 in the base variant. OnePlus 7T costs about Rs. 34,090, while iQOO 3 is coming soon in India with a starting price of about Rs. 36,990. OnePlus 7T and Asus ROG Phone II can be found globally with street prices inferior to €500/$550, while iQOO 3 is not available in the global market. If cameras are not your priority and you do not care about 5G, we believe Asus ROG Phone II is still able to offer something more compared to its opponents. But OnePlus 7T comes with a really good camera and a very affordable price, while iQOO 3 has definitely the best hardware. Vivo’s brand iQOO just announced the iQOO 3, its latest affordable flagship especially meant for gamers. In this article, we compared its specifications to the ones of the best Chinese affordable flagships launched in 2020: Realme X50 Pro 5G and Xiaomi Mi 10, both announced a few days ago with the support to 5G connectivity.

Design

After the notch, punch-hole displays are becoming the trend in the smartphones market. iQOO 3, Realme X50 Pro 5G and Xiaomi Mi 10 do not need a notch to minimize the bezels since they are equipped with punch-hole displays. The front panel of iQOO 3 and Xiaomi Mi 10 come with a better look because they have a single punch-hole display, while Realme X50 Pro 5G is less minimalistic due to its dual punch-hole, but it offers one more sensor on the front. Overall, Xiaomi Mi 10 has a more attractive design due to its curved screen with the highest screen-to-body ratio, but iQOO 3 should be more sturdy due to Gorilla Glass 6 (front and back). Further, iQOO 3 has shoulder buttons (an interesting feature for gamers), and it is even more compact.

Display

When it comes to the quality of displays, Realme X50 Pro 5G and Xiaomi Mi 10 should be very close. The most advanced camera is mounted on the Xiaomi Mi 10: it has a quad camera setup with a 108 MP main sensor, OIS, an ultrawide sensor, a classic depth sensor, and a dedicated macro camera. Unfortunately, Xiaomi Mi 10 does not have a telephoto sensor (unlike Realme X50 Pro 5G and iQOO 3), but it should provide overall better photo quality. Realme X50 Pro 5G wins the selfie comparison with a dual front camera including an ultrawide lens.

Battery

The battery champion here is the Xiaomi Mi 10 thanks to its huge 4780 mAh battery. It is also the only to feature wireless charging (and it is very fast thanks to a 30W power) and reverse wireless charging.

Price

iQOO 3 starts at €475/$517 in China (the base variant has no 5G), Realme X50 Pro 5G will sell for €599/$652 globally in its base variant, and Xiaomi Mi 10 has a €526/$572 starting price in China, but it will likely cost a lot more globally. Due to its great cameras, bigger battery, wireless charging and more interesting feature, Xiaomi Mi 10 looks like a more complete device. iQOO 3 is the best for gamers, but overall, Realme X50 Pro 5G is more valid and we think it even provides the highest value for money.

Today, the company took off covers from the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform powered iQOO 3 smartphone. After the Realme X50 Pro 5G that debuted yesterday, it is the second smartphone to arrive with 5G support in India even though 5G connections haven’t started in the country. The iQOO 3 phone that is packed with some exciting features like punch-hole display, 48-megapixel triple cameras and 55W fast charging for its large-sized battery can be bought in 4G and 5G flavors.

iQOO 3 specifications and features

The iQOO 3 smartphone measures 158.51 x 74.88 x 9.16mm and it weighs 214.5 grams. The smartphone flaunts an HDR10+ complaint S-AMOLED display of 6.44 inches that features a punch-hole at the top-right corner. iQOO has announced that its upcoming phone, the iQOO 3 will launch in 4G and 5G models. Earlier today, the manufacturer had an “immersion event” where it invited members of the press to come and have a hands-on experience of the device.

Some invited guests that got review units of the phone have been sharing photos on social media. While some got the 5G version others got the 4G version. We are sure a lot of our readers have been wondering what chipset powers the 4G version just like we have. It turns out the iQOO 3 4G is also powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor. We are pretty surprised too since Qualcomm is only selling the Snapdragon 865 to manufacturers along with the Snapdragon X55 5G modem. So how is iQOO able to sell a 4G version of the phone with the SD865 processor?

The plausible explanation is that 5G support is deactivated on the device and since the modem supports multiple network types including 4G and 3G, everything is fine. That makes sense since manufacturers do this all the time especially with band support for phones launched in different regions.

Vivo’s sub-brand for premium smartphones iQOO is debuting in the Indian market with the launch of iQOO 3 5G smartphone on 25th February. Ahead of the phone’s launch, the company has shared several key features and specs of the device.

Now, a new report claims that the iQOO 3 5G will be priced under ₹45,000 in India, which roughly converts to $629 while the 4G variant of the same phone will cost around ₹35,000 which is roughly $489.

As for the smartphone’s availability, it is reported that both the variants of the iQOO 3 smartphone will be available through online marketplace Flipkart as well as through offline stores across the country.

Earlier, it was said that when iQOO launches in India, it will initially sell devices through online channel and later make its way to offline market but looks like the company has reworked its strategy for the Indian market.

Vivo‘s subsidiary, iQOO, has just released the sample images from its upcoming flagship smartphone, the iQOO 3. Earlier today (19th February 2020), the company revealed that the handset’s rear camera setup and has now also unveiled a few sample images for the public online.

The images were posted by the company’s official Weibo account, a Chinese microblogging website, and were shared to offer a glimpse of the iQOO 3’s photographic prowess. According to the post, the images were captured using the 50mm professional portrait lens that is featured on the iQOO 3 smartphone. The new portrait lens will enable users to take more natural looking portrait shots and will have noticeably less distortion compared to the previous iterations.

Furthermore, the sample images revealed have also been captured using the ultra wide angle lens, macro and other modes of the iQOO 3. It has been claimed that the images shared are untouched and have not been edited in any form or manner. Looking at the images, it is clear that iQOO, which is an abbreviation for I Quest On and On, is aiming to further advance in the smartphone photography department.

The information arrives after a post was shared on the company’s official Weibo account, a Chinese microblogging website.

iQOO has recently released a poster that carried information regarding the upcoming handset’s internal specifications. On the rear, iQOO 3 features a quad camera setup with its primary lens being a 48 megapixel sensor. The device also features a 50mm professional portrait lens and one of its unique features is the support for an AI eye tracking technology.

In other words, the AI human eye tracker can take images with the focus being on the eyes of the person in front of the lens. This allows for better clarity on the subject and supplements the auto focusing ability of a smartphone’s camera. Unfortunately, finer details and exact specifications regarding the smartphone are currently unknown. So we will have to wait and see what iQOO has in store for us.

Vivo‘s sub-brand for premium smartphones, iQOO, which has already launched a few devices in the market, is all set to launch its next-generation flagship smartphone named iQOO 3 on 25th February in China as well as in India.

Ahead of the phone’s official launch, several key specifications and features of the smartphone have been confirmed by the company. Now, in the latest development, the device has appeared on AnTuTu benchmark, registering the highest ever score.

The iQOO 3 has scored 597,583 points on AnTuTu, making it the highest scoring smartphone on the benchmarking platform so far. Currently, ASUS ROG Phone 2 has been ranked at the top in terms of performance with a score of 507,051.

Along with that, a new leak related to the device also confirms the battery specifications of the upcoming flagship smartphone. It has been confirmed to come with 4,440mAh battery along with 55W ultra-fast flash charge technology. It is claimed to charge the phone up to 50 percent in just 15 minutes.

While the company has not yet revealed the full specifications of iQOO 3, the TENAA listing of the phone has revealed almost everything. iQOO is gearing up to launch its first smartphone in China and India. Yesterday, the company confirmed that its first phone for China will be dubbed as iQOO 3. A poster released by the company revealed that it will be sporting a punch-hole screen and a 48-megapixel quad camera setup. Today, the company confirmed that it will be holding an unveil event for announcing the iQOO 3 in China on Feb. 25.

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, smartphone OEMs in China have decided to hold online-only launch event to announce their new devices. The iQOO 3 flagship phone will be announced through a livestream launch event on Feb.25 starting at 2:30 PM (local time). iQOO is reportedly planning to launch an unveil event in India on the same date. While the iQOO brand has been existing since last year in China, it will be launching its first smartphone on the said date in India. iQOO started off as a subbrand of Vivo when it was announced last year. Its first smartphone was a gaming phone called the iQOO, though some did refer to it as the Vivo iQOO. It followed it up with the iQOO Neo, a super affordable phone with a Snapdragon 845 processor. It also announced the iQOO Pro, and its first 5G smartphone, the iQOO Pro 5G. Afterward came the iQOO Neo 855 and the iQOO Neo 855 Racing.

It has been confirmed that iQOO will begin selling its phones in India this year but as a standalone brand and not a line of smartphones owned by Vivo. In an official press statement, the new company revealed it will launch a flagship phone in India in February. A new leak has revealed what may be the official name of the phone.

Going by the Weibo post, the iQOO 3 will have a 6.44-inch 2400 x 1080 Samsung OLED display with a small punch hole at the top right corner. While most manufacturers are going for a higher refresh rate, the phone will have a 60Hz refresh rate.

Inside the device is the Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform which will be paired with a 5G modem. Based on this, the iQOO 3 will be the manufacturer’s second 5G device. The leaker says the phone will have 48MP quad cameras on the rear arranged in a grid matrix (rectangular housing) and positioned on the left side of the phone.

The iQOO 3 will have a 4410mAh battery capacity, which should be marketed as 4500mAh. Last year, Vivo had introduced iQOO sub-brand in China by launching the Vivo iQOO phone in April. It was previously believed that the iQOO brand will include gaming-centric phones that will take on the likes of Xiaomi Black Shark, ASUS ROG and Nubia Red Magic. However, iQOO phones that were unveiled last year all featured flagship chipsets and they were made available at affordable pricing. Hence, the iQOO brand is all about selling performance focused phones with some gaming capabilities. A recent report had claimed that iQOO brand will be introduced in India in March. Today, another report courtesy of India Tech Today has revealed that the first iQOO phone for India will be powered by Snapdragon 865 mobile platform.

The new report claims that India will be receiving the new iQOO phone soon. However, the name of the device is not known yet and the only thing known about it is that it has Snapdragon 865 onboard.

The first iQOO phone that was unveiled last year had a top variant called Monster Inside Edition. It had a sportier appeal with halo lights. However, a Chinese tipster has claimed that iQOO is no longer a gaming-focused brand. The company has cancelled the Monster Inside lighting and design an engineering machine of the next generation iQOO. He could be talking about the pre-production unit of the upcoming iQOO 3.

Rumors have revealed that the upcoming iQOO 3 for China will be the company’s first phone with Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. The SoC tags along X55 modem which enables support for NSA and SA 5G networks in the home market. The same iQOO phone could be also coming to India. Based on the recent reports, it can be said that the Vivo iQOO 3 will be arriving with a punch-hole S-AMOLED display that offers full HD+ resolution, an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a refresh rate of 60Hz. It could be featuring the same display that’s available on the Vivo X30 series, Vivo S5 and Vivo V17 India version.

He seems to have leaked the specifications of the upcoming iQOO 3 gaming smartphone.

The leaked reveals that the mysterious smartphone has a display of 6.44 inches. It is a Samsung OLED panel with a punch-hole at its upper right corner. The display supports 1080 x 2400 pixels which indicates it offers a tall aspect ratio of 20:9.
