iQOO has been gearing to launch the iQOO 9T in India. However, the company has yet to announce the official launch date for this device as well as any other details regarding its pricing or sales. But prior to its release, a new leak has offered us all of these details. So let’s have a look.

The latest information regarding the upcoming handset comes from known tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore who shared the details on Twitter. Looking at his tweet, the Chinese smartphone maker is planning on announcing the iQOO 9T model (which is believed to be a rebadged iQOO 10 model), while the first sale will reportedly begin next month via Amazon starting from August 2.

Furthermore, the tipster revealed that this high end smartphone will launch in four storage configurations alongside their Indian pricing. The starting model is the 8GB + 128GB that will apparently cost around 43,820 INR (roughly 549 US Dollars), while the 8GB + 256GB model could cost around 47,380 INR (roughly 593 US Dollars). The higher end 12GB + 256GB variant may have a price tag of around 50,930 INR (roughly 637 US Dollars), meanwhile the top end 12GB + 512GB option might carry a 55,670 INR (roughly 696 US Dollars).

Ambhore also listed a couple of key specifications of the device as well. The iQOO 9T is set to sport a 6.78 inch E5 AMOLED display that has a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC will power the device, which also packs a 4,700mAh battery pack with 120W fast charging support. The rear features a 50 megapixel triple camera setup, while the front has a 16 megapixel selfie shooter.

iQOO is gearing up to soon launch the iQOO 10 series of flagship devices in China. While the Chinese launch event for the iQOO 10 and iQOO 10 Pro is set for July 19, India is expected to get the iQOO 9T by the end of this month. According to rumors so far, the device is likely a rebranded iQOO 10.

Now, ahead of its launch, the iQOO 9T has made an appearance on the benchmarking website Geekbench, revealing its performance and key specifications. So, let’s take a look.

The listing reveals that the smartphone has the model number I2201 and runs on an octa-core chipset with clock speeds ranging from 2.02GHz to 3.19GHz. The listing also reveals that the device has the Adreno 730 GPU which clarifies that the chipset is indeed the newly launched Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Other than that, the device has 12GB of RAM and runs on the Android 12-based operating system.

Coming to the benchmark results, the device gets 1317 points on the single-core test and 4082 points on the multi-core test of Geekbench 5. Going by these scores, the iQOO 9T will likely provide top-notch performance, whether it be multi-tasking or gaming scenarios.

Unfortunately, the listing does not reveal any further details, however, going by previous leaks, the smartphone is expected to launch with a 6.78-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a high touch sampling rate.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset of the smartphone will be paired with 8 GB / 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It is expected to have a 4,700mAh battery along with 120W fast charging. For optics, the device is expected to carry a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 triple camera unit and a 15-megapixel front camera unit. The device is also rumored to carry Vivo’s V1+ image processing chip.

iQOO 9T confirmed to launch in India as per Amazon microsite

iQOO 9T India launch has been confirmed. E-commerce portal Amazon has put up a microsite of the smartphone. The page gives us a first look at the upcoming offering as well as some key features. However, it’s worth noting that neither iQOO nor Amazon India has revealed the launch date of the iQOO 9T. As per numerous past reports, the iQOO 9T is expected to debut by the end of this month. Today’s Amazon teaser just confirms the same.

As per the Amazon microsite, the iQOO 9T will feature a dual-toned back panel like the upcoming iQOO 10 Pro in China with the top portion in Black colour with a kevlar-like design and the bottom section having a leather finish. The upcoming offering is seen in BMW Legend edition with the automakers Red-Blue-Black stripes running vertically. We can also expect more colour options at launch. The iQOO 9T is confirmed to feature triple rear cameras with 20x zoom support. It will also come with Vivo’s V1+ imaging chip.
