We can consider it as the first real affordable flagship powered by the most powerful MediaTek mobile platform of this year and, thanks to this and other features, it is an amazing phone for all the gamers out there. But there is another device released by Vivo’s sub-brand perfect for gamers and with top-tier performance. We are talking about the iQOO 9T: while the Neo 7 is equipped with the most powerful MediaTek chipset, the 9T is fueled by the most advanced chipset released by Qualcomm this year, if we exclude the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Here is a comparison between the main specifications of the iQOO Neo7 and the iQOO 9T which will highlight the differences between these two phones.

Design

The iQOO Neo 7 and the iQOO 9T have original designs, with big camera modules and special color options. Among them, I personally prefer the iQOO 9T due to its rear cover made of two pieces of different colors, especially in the BMW M Motorsport-themed edition, also known as the Legend color option. It is also built with better materials, including glass for the back (the front glass is protected by Gorilla Glass 5) and aluminum for the frame. Further, the 9T adds something very interesting for gamers, which we will tell you about in the section of this comparison related to the display. Last but not least, this handset has the IP52 certification making it dust resistant and splash resistant, but note that it is not a waterproof phone.

Display

The iQOO Neo7 and the iQOO 9T have exactly the same display panel. It is an AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.78 inches able to show up to one billion colors with a Full HD Plus resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ certification. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and it includes an in-display fingerprint reader. Unlike the most advanced Vivo flagships, the in-display fingerprint reader in this case is optical and not ultrasonic. The iQOO 9T comes with an additional feature of the display: the Monster Touch. It is able to detect the pressure level of your finger in order to unlock more commands during gaming sessions. It is a very useful feature for pro gamers. Another important advantage of the 9T is the presence of stereo speakers, as the iQOO Neo 7 has just a mono speaker.

Specs & Software

The hardware department is the strongest point of these two phones. They are powered by the best processors by MediaTek and Qualcomm, respectively. The iQOO Neo7 sports the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ platform built with a 4 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture which includes a Cortex X2 CPU running at 3.2 GHz, two Cortex A710 CPUs running at 2.85 GHz, and four Cortex A510 CPUs running at 1.8 GHz, as well as a Mali G710 MC10 GPU. The RAM goes up to 12 GB, while the internal storage goes up to 512 GB. The highest-end memory configuration of the iQOO 9T has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, while the processor is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 built at 4 nm and with a max frequency of 3.19 GHz. Note that the Neo 7 runs Android 13 out of the box, while the 9T is based on Android 12.

Camera

The iQOO 9T wins the camera comparison thanks to the presence of better secondary sensors: we got a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 12 MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, and a 13 MP ultrawide shooter with a FOV of 120 degrees. The iQOO Neo7 has a triple rear camera including the same 50 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 2 MP macro shooter.

The design of the iQOO 9T is more original than the one of the OnePlus 10T, even though it is a bigger phone in terms of overall dimensions. Its rear side is made of two different textures and it is also bi-color. The display of the iQOO 9T is slightly wider with a diagonal of 6.78 inches, but these two panels have the same specifications. They come with the AMOLED technology guaranteeing brilliant colors and deep blacks, as well as a Full HD+ resolution of 1080p. They have a 120 Hz max refresh rate and the HDR10+ certification, as well as a very high peak brightness and an in-display fingerprint reader. Both the handsets come with a very advanced cooling system and Android 12 out of the box, as well as highly customized user interfaces on top.

Camera

If you are searching for the most advanced camera phone, you should opt for the iQOO 9T without thinking twice. It is equipped with a triple camera setup including a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main sensor supporting OIS, a 12 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 13 MP ultrawide camera with a FOV of 120 degrees. The OnePlus 10T has exactly the same main camera (and even the same 16 MP selfie shooter), but the secondary sensors are inferior: an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a useless 2 MP macro lens.

The OnePlus 10T has a slightly bigger battery with a capacity of 4800 mAh and it should last a bit more on a single charge, due to similar hardware components. It also features a faster charging technology, with a power of 150W. The iQOO 9T has a smaller 4700 mAh battery with 120W fast charging.

Price

The iQOO 9T carries a $630 or Rs. 49,999 starting price in the Indian market, and you need at least $630 or Rs. 49,999 even to purchase the OnePlus 10T in India (for the base configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage). The iQOO 9T looks a bit more interesting because of its premium design, Monster Touch, and better cameras, but the OnePlus 10T has more RAM, a bigger battery, and faster charging.

The iQOO 9T flagship smartphone model was just recently announced for the Indian market. Now, the new premium-grade handset has finally gone on sale for the first time ever on Amazon. So let’s have a look at its specs, pricing, and offers.

A few days back, iQOO announced the iQOO 9T in India. The smartphone is a rebranded iQOO 10 from China. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC and a triple camera system comprising wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses. 

This device is now finally up for sale in the country. Let’s take a look at its price and launch offers.

iQOO 9T India Price, Launch Offers

The iQOO 9T retails at the following price tags in India.

• 8GB + 128GB – ₹49,999 ($636)
• 12GB + 256GB – ₹54,999 ($700)

The handset can be purchased in either Alpha (Black) or Legend (BMW M Motorsport) color options from iQOO.com. It will be also available via Amazon India from 12 PM on August 4.

Buyers can avail of a ₹4,000 cashback on ICICI Bank credit/debit card transactions. They can also get an exchange bonus value of ₹5,000 (non-iQOO devices) or ₹7,000 (iQOO devices).

Additionally, customers ordering the phone from iQOO.com during August 2-10 will get an iQOO Gamepad worth ₹2,999 for free. 

Finally, both Amazon and iQOO.com buyers are eligible for a one-time screen replacement offer with a validity of 6 months. They have to order the smartphone by August 10 as well as activate it by August 31.

iQOO 9T Specifications

The iQOO 9T sports a 6.78-inch Samsung E5 AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The Schott Xensation UP glass-protected panel supports HDR10, 1500 nits peak brightness level, and 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset paired with LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a VC liquid cooling system. It also houses a Vivo V1+ chip for image processing and display optimizations. 

On the software front, the smartphone boots Funtouch OS 12.1 based on Android 12. It is guaranteed to receive 3 Android updates and 4 years of security updates.

Further, the triple camera system on the rear consists of an OIS-assisted 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN5 primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide + macro unit, and a 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor with a 2x optical lens. On the front, there’s a 16MP snapper inside the centered punch-hole.

The iQOO 9T was scheduled to launch in India on August 2. However, out of the blue, the brand announced the smartphone earlier today.

As expected, the iQOO 9T for India is a rebranded iQOO 10 from China. The main highlight of the handset is that it comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC.

iQOO 9T Specifications

The iQOO 9 sold in India differs from the original iQOO 9 from China. Whereas, the newly announced iQOO 9T in India is a rebranded iQOO 10 from China. 

Additionally, the original iQOO 9 and the iQOO 10 are almost identical, except for the chipset. Since the original iQOO 9 was never released in India, the iQOO 9T (aka iQOO 10) feels like a completely new device in the country.

The iQOO 9T India launch date has been confirmed. It will debut as India’s first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform on Aug. 2 in India. It will rival the OnePlus 10T, which will debut with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip onboard on Aug. 3. The iQOO 9T and OnePlus 10T are tipped to carry the same starting price.

iQOO has also already confirmed that one of the iQOO 9T 5G variants will offer 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 9T will be made available in white and black shades, and it will be sold through iQOO India’s website and Amazon India.

iQOO 9T price in India

According to Pricebaba, the iQOO 9T 5G will arrive in two variants, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. These variants are tipped to cost Rs 49,990 (~626) and Rs 54,990 (~$688). These prices may vary by Rs 1,000 (~$12). The leak also mentions that both models will be available at a discount of Rs 4,000 (~$50) through bank offers.

The same publication has also leaked that the OnePlus 10T 5G will also start at Rs 49,999 (~626).

The device is expected to come with a 6.78-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, SD8+G1, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4700mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. It will have a 16-megapixel front camera and 50-megapixel triple rear cameras. For security, it will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. The latest information regarding the upcoming handset comes from known tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore who shared the details on Twitter. Looking at his tweet, the Chinese smartphone maker is planning on announcing the iQOO 9T model (which is believed to be a rebadged iQOO 10 model), while the first sale will reportedly begin next month via Amazon starting from August 2.

Furthermore, the tipster revealed that this high end smartphone will launch in four storage configurations alongside their Indian pricing. The starting model is the 8GB + 128GB that will apparently cost around 43,820 INR (roughly 549 US Dollars), while the 8GB + 256GB model could cost around 47,380 INR (roughly 593 US Dollars). The higher end 12GB + 256GB variant may have a price tag of around 50,930 INR (roughly 637 US Dollars), meanwhile the top end 12GB + 512GB option might carry a 55,670 INR (roughly 696 US Dollars).

Ambhore also listed a couple of key specifications of the device as well. The iQOO 9T is set to sport a 6.78 inch E5 AMOLED display that has a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. iQOO is gearing up to soon launch the iQOO 10 series of flagship devices in China. While the Chinese launch event for the iQOO 10 and iQOO 10 Pro is set for July 19, India is expected to get the iQOO 9T by the end of this month. According to rumors so far, the device is likely a rebranded iQOO 10.

Now, ahead of its launch, the iQOO 9T has made an appearance on the benchmarking website Geekbench, revealing its performance and key specifications. So, let’s take a look.

The listing reveals that the smartphone has the model number I2201 and runs on an octa-core chipset with clock speeds ranging from 2.02GHz to 3.19GHz. The listing also reveals that the device has the Adreno 730 GPU which clarifies that the chipset is indeed the newly launched Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Other than that, the device has 12GB of RAM and runs on the Android 12-based operating system.

Coming to the benchmark results, the device gets 1317 points on the single-core test and 4082 points on the multi-core test of Geekbench 5. Going by these scores, the iQOO 9T will likely provide top-notch performance, whether it be multi-tasking or gaming scenarios.

Unfortunately, the listing does not reveal any further details, however, going by previous leaks, the smartphone is expected to launch with a 6.78-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a high touch sampling rate.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset of the smartphone will be paired with 8 GB / 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It is expected to have a 4,700mAh battery along with 120W fast charging. For optics, the device is expected to carry a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 triple camera unit and a 15-megapixel front camera unit. The device is also rumored to carry Vivo’s V1+ image processing chip.

At present, iQOO is teasing its upcoming flagship phone, the iQOO 9T 5G, in India. The device is rumored to go official by the end of this month. The Chinese manufacturer has already revealed the design of the white variant on its landing page, which is available on Amazon India. A recent tweet from the brand gives the first look at the black variant of the 9T.

As can be seen in the image, the top portion of the iQOO 9T 5G’s back panel has a glossy and textured appeal. It houses a camera module and the V1+ branding. The remaining back panel has a matte finish. The top portion of the phone has a microphone and another hole, which appears to be housing an IR blaster.

The bottom view of the device reveals a speaker grille, a USB Type-C port, and a SIM card slot. The left side of the phone appears to be barren, whereas its right side could be fitted with a volume rocker and a power key. The device is equipped with a metallic frame.

iQOO is yet to divulge the specifications of the phone. However, rumors surrounding the device suggest that it could be a rebranded version of the iQOO 10, which is set to launch tomorrow (July 19) in China.

Previous reports have revealed that the iQOO 9T 5G will be equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED FHD+ display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 8 GB / 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. iQOO 9T will be announced later this month in India. Leaked information surrounding the device has claimed that it could be a tweaked or rebadged version of the vanilla iQOO 10 5G, which will debut on July 19 in China. The Tech Burner YouTube channel has released a hands-on video of the iQOO 9T to not only reveal its design, but also some of its key features.

Here are some screengrabs from the iQOO 9T hands-on video. As can be seen, the handset will be arriving in white (with BMW M Motorsport tricolor stripes) and black shades. It will be a glass-bodied device with a dual-tone finish. The top portion of the back has a glossy look, while the remaining portion has a matte texture.

The camera setup of the device is headlined by a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 ultra-sensing camera, which promises to capture better shots in dim-light conditions. The iQOO 9T also has the V1+ chip, which is a chip made by Vivo that is only used to process images.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset will be present under the hood of the iQOO 9T. The SoC is coupled with an enhanced version of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. On the front of the device, there is a flat AMOLED display with a centrally postioned punch-hole.

iQOO 9T India launch has been confirmed. E-commerce portal Amazon has put up a microsite of the smartphone. The page gives us a first look at the upcoming offering as well as some key features.
