AnTuTu has a long tradition of sieving the thousands of models that run through the app monthly to pick out the best-performing Android phones each month. Recall that in January 2020, the iQOO Neo was the best-performing phone. The benchmark outfit has released its ranking for February and this time around, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro held sway.

The ranking is based on data collated between the period of February 1 and February 29, 2020. It also takes into account the fact that the models must have appeared on the app more than 1000 times. So, the ranking is based on the average AnTuTu score of each model and not just the single highest score. In addition, this month’s list is based on models that ran on AnTuTu V8 public beta version released on August 1, 2019.

With an average score of 594069 points and 564327 points respectively, the Mi 10 Pro and Mi 10 emerge as the first and second best-performing models in February. Both models pack a Snapdragon 865 chipset. We must add that this ranking basically concerns models that went on sale in February. The iQOO 3 was announced in February and the peak score floors the Mi 10 Pro’s but it fails to meet the AnTuTu criteria for this ranking as stated above.

Another aspect worthy of note is the dominance of models running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855+ chipset. A total of seven models powered by a Snapdragon 855+ chipset made it into the list. This includes the iQOO Neo, iQOO Pro, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro and Vivo Nex 3 ranked as the third to seventh position. Huawei’s V30 Pro with a Kirin 990 chipset comes in at number 8. The Snapdragon 855+-powered ASUS ROG 2 and Realme X2 Pro complete the top 10.

On the whole, the February 2020 AnTuTu best-performing flagship phone ranking affords us yet another opportunity to see the massive performance increase brought about by the Snapdragon 865. The difference in the average score between the Mi 10 Pro and the iQOO Neo in third place is more than 90,000 points. We expect the list to experience a massive change in March as more and more Snapdragon 865 phones go on sale.

Suning mobile phone has come out to announce that the pre-order exercise was done and dusted in just 1 second! iQOO also confirmed this but we can’t figure out how that could happen. It is possible, though, that the company was only open to accepting pre-orders based on the number of units expected for the first batch of sales. As usual, the number of pre-orders wasn’t revealed. So, it is safe to accept this as one of the regular marketing gimmicks. Make no mistake, though, the iQOO Pro 5G will be a hot-selling phone.

The iQOO Pro has a 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display just like the original Vivo iQOO. There is an in-display fingerprint scanner but with double the scanning area and improved accuracy.

The iQOO Pro is powered by the 7nm Snapdragon 855 Plus clocked at 2.6GHz with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage.

There is a Sony IMX582 48MP primary camera on the back along with a 13MP 120° ultrawide angle camera and a 2.0MP depth sensor. It comes with features like AI Scene 2.0, 2.5CM macro photography and AI Portrait.

Vivo has included a 4500mAh battery with support for Vivo’s 44W Super FlashCharge technology. This allows you to charge the phone up to 50% in 17 minutes, up to 80% in 30 minutes, and up to 100% in 50 minutes.

Based on the specifications of the smartphone, it can be safely concluded that it is the non-5G version of the upcoming iQOO Pro smartphone.

The Vivo V1922A/T TENAA appearance reveals that its dimensions are 158.77 x 75.73 x 9.325mm. Weighing 9.325mm, the Vivo V1922A/T features a 6.41-inch AMOLED display that produces 1080 x 2340 pixels full HD+ resolution and offers an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The Vivo iQOO Pro 5G that has a model number of V1916A has recently bagged certifications from 3C and TENAA authorities of China. The smartphone measures 158.77 x 75.73 x 9.325mm and it weighs 217 grams. It is equipped with a 6.41-inch AMOLED display that supports full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

The Android 9 Pie OS runs on the iQOO Pro 5G smartphone. It comes in multiple storage editions such as 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. The 8 GB RAM and 12 GB RAM variants of the phone will be fueled by SD855+ SoC. The handset does not feature a storage expansion slot.

Recent reports have revealed that Vivo will be launching the iQOO Pro 5G smartphone on Aug. 22 as its first 5G smartphone. Being a Pro model, it is expected to come with enhanced specifications. Last month, the Vivo iQOO Pro 5G that has a model number of V1916A was spotted on the database of 3C authority in China. Now, the V1916A has appeared on TENAA with its full specifications. The only issue with the listing is that it does not include any images of the phone.

Vivo iQOO Pro 5G (V1916A) Specifications

The Vivo V1916A has a 6.41-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It suggests that it could be equipped with waterdrop-style notch screen that is embedded with a fingerprint scanner like the Vivo iQOO smartphone. The dimensions of V1916A are 158.7 x 75.73 x 9.325mm and it weighs 217 grams. In comparison, the iQOO smartphone measures 157.7 x 75.2 x 8.5mm and weighs 196 grams.
