Popular tipster Mukul Sharma <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BG9x3a9b39E&amp;ab_channel=stufflistings">has revealed</a> that a Snapdragon 870 powered iQOO phone is in the works for India. At the same time, the iQOO U1x smartphone which was announced <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/10/21/iqoo-u1x-with-snapdragon-662-5000mah-battery-and-13mp-triple-cameras-launched-in-china/">back in October 2020</a> in China has received approval from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).</p>
<p>Last month, iQOO announced the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-870">Snapdragon 870</a> mobile platform powered iQOO Neo5 in China. The tipster did not share any other information on the iQOO phone with SD870 that has been planned for India. Since the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/04/07/iqoo-neo5-bags-bis-certification-launching-with-iqoo-7-legend-this-month/">BIS authority has already certified the Neo5</a>, this phone is likely to debut soon in the country. The Indian variant of the phone has also <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/30/alleged-iqoo-neo5s-indian-variant-spotted-at-google-play-console-launch-seems-imminent/">appeared at the Google Play Console</a>. Hence, there is a possibility that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-iqoo-neo-5">iQOO Neo5</a> may get rebranded as an <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-iqoo-7">iQOO 7</a> series smartphone.</p>

<p>The iQOO Neo5 sports a 6.62-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is loaded with Android 11 OS and iQOO UI.
