AnTuTu has released its Android sub-flagship phone performance rankings for July, and the iQOO Z10 Turbo sits comfortably at the top. The device scored an impressive 1,739,524 points in AnTuTu’s v10 benchmark run.

At the heart of the Z10 Turbo is MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 chip, built on TSMC’s 4nm process. iQOO pairs this with iQOO’s in-house gaming chip, the Q1, which helps the phone deliver more consistent frame rates and improved power efficiency. Backing all that performance is a massive 7,620mAh battery, which is one of the largest in the segment. 

MediaTek Dimensity 8400 dominates AnTuTu’s sub-flagship phone ranking in July

Coming in second is the Realme Neo7 SE, which scored 1,708,892 on AnTuTu. It runs on a slightly tweaked Dimensity 8400-Max and features a massive 7,700mm² vapor chamber cooling system.

The third spot goes to Redmi’s Turbo 4 with a score of 1,699,698. It also debuts with a customized version of Dimensity 8400, called the Dimensity 8400-Ultra. 

Surprisingly, both the fourth and fifth phones in the ranking are also powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 series. The Oppo Reno 14 Pro, equipped with the Dimensity 8450, lands in fourth place with 1,559,095 points. Meanwhile, the Vivo Y300 GT, running the standard Dimensity 8400, follows closely with a score of 1,532,677.

Snapdragon chips make only a brief appearance on the list. The OnePlus Ace 3V, powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, ranks sixth with 1,397,322 points. At tenth, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo comes in with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 and a score of 1,134,754.

In total, 8 out of the top 10 sub-flagship phones are running on MediaTek silicon. It’s clear that MediaTek is dominating the sub-flagship performance space for now. Qualcomm still has competitive offerings, but adoption appears limited at this stage.

If you want to buy an latest phone powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen4, you currently only have two options: either you get the REDMI Turbo 4 Pro, or this iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro. Their specs on paper are similar, and so are their prices. If you really like the REDMI Turbo 4 Pro, then you should definitely be interested in the iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro as well.

Design

The design of the Z10 Turbo Pro follows the style of the iQOO 13, with a rounded rectangular camera module placed in the top-left corner. But it only has two cameras—was it really necessary to make the module that big? When holding the phone horizontally, it’s still easy to touch this area.

Despite having a similar positioning, the Z10 Turbo Pro falls slightly short in terms of build quality. Both the back panel and the frame are made of plastic, so it feels and looks a bit cheap. However, there are two advantages to the plastic body: first, the back won’t shatter if dropped, and second, it makes the phone lighter. Unfortunately, it still uses USB 2.0, but given the low price, I can accept that. But it only has an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance, which isn’t as good as REDMI’s.

Compared to REDMI’s “All in on a big battery” approach, iQOO chose to sacrifice a bit of battery capacity for faster charging. It also supports third-party chargers with PPS protocol up to 100W. Display

The display on the Z10 Turbo Pro meets expectations. It’s slightly smaller than the REDMI Turbo 4 Pro, but its peak brightness in the 25% area is a bit higher.

One downside is that the Z10 Turbo Pro’s bottom bezel is still a bit thick, which contributes to its somewhat cheaper appearance. Although it boasts a 144Hz refresh rate, it mostly runs at 120Hz in everyday use. The full 144Hz only kicks in under specific conditions, like when gaming with frame interpolation enabled.

Performances & Gaming

The capabilities of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 were already demonstrated in our Quick Review of the REDMI Turbo 4 Pro. The Z10 Turbo Pro doesn’t lag far behind.

To put it simply, in heavy-load games, it delivers sufficient performance, though at the cost of higher power consumption and temperatures. One advantage it has over the REDMI is its comprehensive gaming features. Bypass charging, super resolution, and frame interpolation are all included. iQOO has essentially treated it like a gaming phone.

In everyday apps, it performs just as well, if not better than the 8 Gen 3—mainly due to improved power efficiency at the same clock speeds. As long as you’re not gaming, I believe it can easily last a full day without needing a charge.

Camera

The camera system on the Z10 Turbo Pro feels familiar—aren’t these the same two cameras found on the REDMI Turbo 4 Pro?

Our hands-on time with this phone was very limited, so we didn’t take many sample shots. But at first glance, the image quality doesn’t seem much different from REDMI’s, with the main variation being in color tuning. That said, the more vibrant color profile does make photos more eye-catching.

As a mid-range phone under $300, the Z10 Turbo Pro does a solid job. It delivers strong battery life and 120W fast charging while packing enough performance for most users. It’s just a shame that it falls slightly short in build materials and water resistance compared to its rivals.

Oh, and one more advantage worth mentioning—the Z10 Turbo Pro’s stereo speakers use identical sound chambers, meaning left and right channels have balanced volume.

Both models are already available for sale across major online and offline channels.

iQOO Z10 Turbo/Turbo Pro Specifications

Both the iQOO Z10 Turbo and Z10 Turbo Pro feature a flagship-level 144Hz “Optical Eye Protection” display. The screen uses TCL’s latest C9+ luminous material, offering impressive brightness levels, reaching up to 2000 nits across the full screen and a peak local brightness of 5500 nits.

It supports 4320Hz PWM high-frequency dimming and full-brightness DC dimming to reduce eye strain, alongside SGS certifications for low blue light and low flicker. The Z10 Turbo Pro introduces a reinforced “Diamond Shield” glass, boasting 150% higher drop resistance, surviving steel plate drops from up to 1.2 meters, and enduring rigorous rain exposure tests.

The iQOO Z10 Turbo is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset, built on TSMC’s 4nm process. It features an all-big-core ARM Cortex-A725 architecture, promising a 41% improvement in multi-core performance while reducing power consumption by 44%.

Meanwhile, the Z10 Turbo Pro steps up with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Both devices also integrate iQOO’s in-house Q1 gaming display chip and the brand’s largest-ever 7K Icefield VC liquid cooling system.

As can be seen in the image below, Redmi, iQOO, Xiaomi, Oppo, and DreamSmart (Meizu) will be launching phones equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Soon after the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 launch, iQOO released the above poster to confirm that the Z10 Turbo will be the first phone to feature it. While the Vivo sub-brand did not reveal the other specifications of the device, it confirmed that the Z10 Turbo Pro will debut this month.

Reports have revealed that it will feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED 1.5K 144Hz display and a 7,000mAh battery with 120W charging. For photography, it may feature an OIS-assisted 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual-camera unit and a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

As seen above, tipster Experience More has claimed that the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro, Oppo K13 Pro, and Meizu 22 Note will also feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. It is speculated that the Poco F7 and Xiaomi 15 Civi, aimed at the global market, will also feature the new chip. These phones are expected to be rebranded versions of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro and Civi 5 Pro.

According to reports, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro will feature a 6.8-inch flat OLED 1.5K screen, a 50-megapixel dual-camera setup, and a 7,550mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. In terms of build, it is expected to feature a metal middle frame, a glass back, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro

Reports have revealed that the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro is said to feature a quad-curved OLED panel with support for a 1.5K resolution and a 6,000mAh battery with 67W charging. It is expected to sport a slim profile of 7mm.

The rumour mill is yet to leak concrete details about the Oppo K13 Pro and Meizu 22 Note.

iQOO is gearing up to launch its Z10 series in India and China. In fact, the company has already confirmed a launch date for standard Z10 in India i.e. April 11.

While India is expected to get just this model for now, the full lineup—including the Z10x, Z10, Z10 Turbo, and Z10 Turbo Pro—could roll out in China soon. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect from each model.

iQOO Z10x

The Z10x will be the most affordable entry in the lineup and will likely feature an LCD panel and a new MediaTek chipset.

It first appeared in certifications last October and later surfaced in BIS listings in January. But for now, details on its specs remain scarce.

Its predecessor featured a 6.72-inch IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution, powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also packed a 50MP dual-camera system and a 6,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging. The Z10x will likely offer similar specs but could see some minor upgrades.

That said, this model might not launch alongside the rest of the lineup and could instead arrive later in Q3 2024.

iQOO Z10

The Z10 has already been confirmed for India, and teasers from iQOO have already confirmed some key specs. Including a massive 7,300mAh battery. That’s the largest battery on any phone in India right now.

And for comparison, its predecessor, the Z9, had a 5,000mAh battery. Despite the bump in battery size, the phone measures just 7.89mm thick.

Moreover, leaks suggest the Z10 will feature a 6.67-inch quad-curved AMOLED display (FHD+, 120Hz). Under the hood, it could pack either the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 or the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip paired with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options. The front will have a 32MP camera for selfies, while details on the rear camera setup is still under wraps. 

iQOO Z10 Turbo

The Z10 Turbo is expected to launch in China in April with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400. The display is rumored to be a 6.78-inch LTPS panel with a 1.5K resolution.

It has surfaced on Geekbench with 12GB RAM and Android 15, while a 3C certification confirms 120W fast charging. Other expected features include a plastic mid-frame and an optical fingerprint scanner, keeping costs in check.

Final Thoughts

IQOO is clearly aiming to offer a mix of affordability, large batteries, and high-performance chips with the Z10 series. The iQOO Z10 and Z10 Turbo seem to be the most interesting options, particularly with their massive battery capacities and OLED displays. 

Meanwhile, the Turbo Pro brings near-flagship performance, while the Z10x offers a budget-friendly alternative. Now that we have a confirmed launch date for at least one model, we won’t have to wait long to see how the iQOO Z10 series stacks up.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Z10 Turbo Pro will feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K display with LTPS backlighting, a plastic mid-frame, and an optical fingerprint sensor—design choices that help manage costs. It follows the Z9 Turbo, which had a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip and a 6,000mAh battery.

As revealed by the tipster, the iQOO Z10 Turbo is expected to be equipped with the Dimensity 8400 chipset and a 7,600mAh battery with 80W fast charging. The Z10 Turbo Pro, which is expected to launch alongside the Z10 Turbo, could feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset, paired with a 7,000mAh battery supporting 120W fast charging.

The iQOO Z10 is likely to be powered by the forthcoming Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip and offer 90W wired charging. On the other hand, the Z10x may come with an LCD screen, a Dimensity 7300 chip, and 44W charging. However, a previous leak claimed that it would feature a new MediaTek chip. Notably, all models except the Z10x are expected to feature OLED panels.

While the Turbo-branded models are expected to make their debut in April, reports suggest that the Z10 and Z10x variants could be released in Q3 2025.

Vivo Y300 GT and Y300 Pro+ details emerge

Following the launch of the Vivo Y300 and Y300i in China, Vivo is now preparing to introduce two more models—Y300 GT and Y300 Pro+. The Y300 GT is speculated to pack a Dimensity 8400 processor, a 7,600mAh battery, and support 90W charging, making it a potential rebranded version of the Z10 Turbo.

Reports have claimed that the iQOO Z10 Turbo and Z10 Turbo Pro have model numbers V2452A and V2453A, respectively. A new development reveals that the Z10 Turbo has a variant with the model number V2452GA. This phone is believed to be the iQOO Z10 Turbo Endurance Edition.

As seen on the 3C certification platform in China, the V2452A and V2452GA smartphones have recently been approved. Both devices were spotted with a 90W fast charger. The V2452A model was previously listed in Geekbench’s database with the Dimensity 8400 chip. Now, the Z10 Turbo Endurance (V2452GA) has also been benchmarked on Geekbench.

The CPU and GPU details (via source code) that have surfaced through V2452GA’s Geekbench listing reveal that it is also equipped with the Dimensity 8400 chipset and 12 GB of RAM. According to a Chinese tipster, this Endurance Edition model will have a 7,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging, despite being spotted with a 90W fast charger in 3C’s database. He added that the regular Z10 Turbo (V2452A) will house a larger 7,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging.

Apart from these models, the iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro will be positioned higher as it will feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset. A recent leak claimed that it will pack a 7,000mAh battery with 120W charging support.

And now a new leak from Weibo, courtesy of reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, might have just revealed key details about the latter two models in the lineup.

iQOO Z10 Turbo / Turbo Pro expected launch

According to the leak, two of the phones—one powered by the Dimensity 8400 and the other by a yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8M8735 (possibly dubbed the Snapdragon 8s Elite)—are set to launch in April.

Both phones will feature 1.5K LTPS flat screens and a new independent graphics chip. While the tipster didn’t explicitly name the devices, the specifications suggest they could be the iQOO Z10 Turbo and Z10 Turbo Pro.

Further details point to massive batteries, reportedly ranging between 7000mAh and 7500mAh. For context, the entire Z9 series offers battery capacities between 6,000mAh and 6,400mAh. So if true, the Z10 series is a notable upgrade in terms of battery life. And despite these large cells, iQOO is said to have managed to keep the phones’ weight in check. 

The leak also suggests that the Z10 series could see additional mid-range models later in 2025. We assume that means the Z10 Turbo variants might debut in April, followed by the more basic models.

While the leak reveals no more about the phones, previous reports have revealed that the Z10 Turbo will have a flat OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will have a 50-megapixel dual-camera system on the back. The device will pack a large silicon-carbon battery of around 7,000mAh capacity. It is expected to support 80W or 90W fast charging.

The current Z9 Turbo models feature batteries ranging from 6,000mAh to 6,400mAh. With smartphone brands increasingly adopting silicon batteries with higher energy density, the Z10 Turbo models will likely surpass the 7,000mAh battery capacity mark. Therefore, the above-mentioned leaks by DCS reportedly pertain to the Z10 Turbo series.

Rival brand Redmi is rumored to launch the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro with a 7,500mAh battery and Snapdragon 8s Elite chip onboard in April this year. Therefore, the Z10 Turbo Pro, which is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8s Elite chip, may arrive with 7,500mAh + 90W combination to rival the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro.

Qualcomm is reportedly working on the Snapdragon 8s Elite, a toned-down version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. This new chip, which is expected to debut in Q2 2025, will succeed last year’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. The SD8sG3 powered the likes of Realme GT 6, Realme GT Neo 6 (China), Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, Poco F6, Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, Civi 14 Pro, Redmi Turbo 3, Honor 200 Pro, and iQOO Z9 Turbo. It is speculated that the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite will power the successor edition of these smartphones. In a new development, a Vivo / iQOO phone featuring the unannounced chip has emerged in Geekbench’s database. The listing has revealed its CPU and GPU details.

Snapdragon 8s Elite Geekbench listing spotted

As can be seen, a new Vivo / iQOO phone with the V2453A model number has emerged on Geekbench. The Qualcomm chip that powers the device has a 1+3+2+2 configuration with a prime CPU core working at 3.21GHz. It is accompanied by three CPU cores clocking at 3.01, two CPU cores working at 2.80GHz, and two CPU cores operating at 2.02GHz. For graphics, the chip is equipped with an Adreno 825 chip.

These details do not match with any of the existing Qualcomm chips, which indicates that it is an upcoming chip. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, it is the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite, which has the SM8735 part number. The tipster previously mentioned that the Snapdragon 8s Elite’s architecture would remain X4 + A720, featuring a 1+3+2+2 configuration, akin to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

The Geekbench listing further reveals that the device runs on Android 15 and has 12 GB of RAM. While the identity of the phone is not known yet, it could be the iQOO Z0 Turbo or Turbo Pro, which is expected to debut as one of the first phones powered by the Snapdragon 8s Elite chip.

According to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the iQOO Z10 lineup will include four models: iQOO Z10, Z10 Pro, Z10 Turbo, and Z10 Turbo Pro. The leak suggests that the series’s core focus is offering users an exceptionally large battery. The entire Z9 series features battery capacities ranging from 6,000mAh to 6,400mAh. Therefore, it is likely that the Z10 series will come with even larger battery capacities, probably around 7,000mAh capacity, surpassing those of its predecessor.
